But this was the first time the president´s secretary had ordered me to report to the Oval Office immediately. Before 7 a.m. on a Saturday. It was December 2003. Iraq was all over the news. We were closing in on the capture of Saddam Hussein. But — and the nation should be thankful — this wasn´t my domain. President George W. Bush had another reason for calling for me now. Barney Cam. I can´t help but smile when seeing the "old" Barney Cam. We had been in the war on terror for well over two years and sadly, Congress was buckling by dRATS as to their duty to support said troops after their phony accusations against President Bush and a sign saying "Mission Accomplished" in reference to Iraq six months before in May.
I thought we could never smile "again," with daily negative LSM misreporting of troop actions and deaths. Then, came Barney Cam. Thank you, Barney and RIP. You still make me smile.

Maybe they could strap a camera to moochelle´s behind. After all obama has made a point of always leading from behind so moochelle should just follow his "lead". We could watch as she works in the garden, does her arm curls, feeds her face, plans her next paid for vacation, picks out her wardrobe at the Goodwill, takes a quick trip to Target. The fun would be endless.
Barney was in a class by himself.

The videos were exactly what was needed at that time. Washington was a very sad place in 2002 and there was still an air of "what if?" Barney provided some nice, light-hearted entertainment (had to love the snarky NYT comment about there being no plot...)
And the Barney video has been copied, but it´s not better.

North Korea is a remarkable country. How else would a small state with no economy to speak of manage to create a massive media panic and remain in the headlines for a couple of weeks in a row? The question remains though: if Pyongyang is not about to launch a nuclear strike on the continental United States – and it clearly is not – what has it been up to for the past three weeks? What does the trial of a Philadelphia doctor who is accused of performing illegal late-term abortions by inducing labor and then killing the fetuses have to do with the debate over legal abortion? Rep. Marsha Blackburn of Tennessee said today that the Kermit Gosnell trial proves that federal funds should not be used for abortions — an especially odd conclusion to draw given that riders attached to appropriation bills already prohibit the use of federal funds for abortions, except in cases of rape or incest. Since he first became a presidential candidate, President Obama must have spent millions of dollars in legal expenses to combat dozens of so-called "birther" challenges seeking the original documents pertaining to his birth. As president, he famously issued an electronic document on the White House website in 2011; the document purported to be his long-form birth certificate, though it is apparently a forgery. Yet until late last week, much of the national media was silent as testimony about Gosnell’s alleged “house of horrors” abortion clinic rolled out.
