President Obama’s deep contempt
for the rule of law

FOX News, by Adam Freedman

In January, a unanimous Court of Appeals for the DC Circuit held that the president violated the Constitution by making "recess appointments" when the Senate was not, in fact, in recess. If you think this is just another one of those dry, lawyerly technicalities, think again. One of the Constitution’s essential checks and balances is the requirement of Senate "advice and consent" for presidential appointments. The Recess Appointments Clause of Article II provides a narrow exception to that requirement:

Contempt of the law isn´t something we´d normally expect from a ´Constitutional Law Professor´, and it´s something we shouldn´t accept from our ´elected officials´. It´s past time to hold Obama accountable for his abuses of Federal law, and those are numerous.

He is just taking the old Democrat playbook and pushing it to the extreme.

What do you expect, as Obama is a hard core liberal, and liberals always think that they know what is best for everybody.

Rule of law?
What rule of law?
"L´Etat c´est moi."
It worked so well for Indira Gandhi.
"India is Indira, and Indira is India."
Checks and balances: Congress writes the checks, and the balance is doing it his way.
Capice?

If these appointments are not retracted by Obama, is this an impeachable offense?

Just asking.

Would not matter anyway as senate Marxist democrats would vote him not guilty as was Clinton.

Rep. Steve Stockman threatened on Monday to defund the White House and potentially file impeachment charges if President Obama pushes forward with gun control measures without congressional approval. The Texas Republican called Mr. Obama´s plans to skirt Congress and implement some controls administratively "an unconstitutional and unconscionable attack on the very founding principles of this republic." "I will seek to thwart this action by any means necessary, including but not limited to eliminating funding for implementation, defunding the White House,

The Department of Justice reports that homosexuals are more likely (15.4% of them) than heterosexual men (10.8%) to be physically attacked by a domestic partner. But the DOJ also found that 39% of cohabiting lesbians say they have been raped, attacked, or stalked by a lover, as opposed to 21.7% of heterosexuals who live with men. This means a lesbian is about twice as likely as a hetero woman to be stalked or slapped around by a live-in lover. A hugely disproportionate number of male serial killers have been homosexual; figures run from 40 to 60% depending on definitions. Some

It was the 2013 Politifact "Lie of the Year," our president´s now infamous line: "If you like your health care plan, you can keep it." Now all Americans are realizing what Catholics have known from the beginning: President Barack Obama is a master of deception. Lest people forget, passage of the Affordable Care Act happened in part because Obama struck a deal with a single Catholic holdout: Bart Stupak, D-Michigan. Stupak agreed to vote for the bill in exchange for an executive order protecting conscience rights and preserving the Hyde Amendment´s ban on the use of federal funds for abortion.

A professor who teaches constitutional law courses at the City University of New York’s John Jay College of Criminal Justice penned a Christmas Day essay blaming “southern White radicals” for the disastrous, slow-motion train wreck failure that has been the rollout of the Affordable Care Act. The essay, by Gloria J. Browne-Marshall at the website Politics in Color, is entitled “2013: A Year of Racial Challenges.” “[S]outhern White radicals vowed to stop implementation of the Obama-care law leading one to wonder if Tea Party members would oppose affordable healthcare if it came from a nonBlack [sic] President,”

The establishment GOP in Washington hates the Tea Party and the conservative wing of the party more than they do the Democrats. They will make very clear that instead of riding a conservative wave to a landslide victory in the 2014 midterms, they will do everything in their power to sabotage conservative and Tea Party candidates for their own personal benefit. Many establishment groups have been vocal about their strategy to attack principled conservatives. Karl Rove’s American Crossroads is “preparing an aggressive effort to groom and support more centrist Republican candidates.” The Chamber of Commerce, who supports illegal and cheap

Back in the seventies when I was a lefty and under the sway, like the new mayor of the city of New York, of various Central and South American marxists, we used to speak of “el enemigo principal,” the principal enemy. (Snip)The principal enemy for the right and the center-right is now Hillary Clinton, the vastly favored frontrunner for the 2016 Democratic presidential nomination. She is so far in front, in fact, that her competitors are not even in hailing distance. Hillary is the one who can consolidate and solidify the “gains” of the Obama era in a way Obama

Colorado will make history Wednesday as the first American state allowing stores to sell marijuana for recreational use – eliciting fear and predictions of doom from anti-drug campaigners. On a Tuesday conference call hosted by Smart Approaches to Marijuana, former Rep. Patrick Kennedy, D-R.I., said Colorado and Washington state – where stores will open later in 2014 – are "canaries in the coal mine." "There are a lot of ´unintended consequences´... that will make them ponder whether this was the right decision," Kennedy said, predicting more traffic accidents, increased school truancy, higher drop-out rates and a general decrease in public health. An air rescue for the passengers aboard a research ship that has been trapped in Antarctic ice for a week will wait for a break in the weather to start airlifting people from the vessel, Australian maritime authorities say. The 74 scientists, tourists and crew aboard the Akademik Shokalskiy, a Russian-crewed research vessel touring the Antarctic, have been trapped in ice since Christmas Eve. A helicopter on board a Chinese icebreaker, the Snow Dragon, will be used to collect the passengers once there is a break in the weather, the Australian Maritime Safety Authority said in a Monday night conference

(Video) It may have been the least productive year for Congress in history, at least in terms of passing laws – fewer than 60 of which made it through the House and Senate and were signed by President Barack Obama. Across the country, however, state lawmakers were busy getting more than 40,000 bills passed, ones that tackle everything from drones to food stamp benefits. In Illinois for example, teenagers will no longer get to use tanning beds without a doctor´s note. If you live in Delaware, visit the shark fin buffet while you can, a new law will make it illegal to own, sale, or distribute the controversial delicacy.

New Jersey Governor Chris Christie signed landmark legislation at the end of December which allowed the state’s undocumented high school students access to in-state tuition at all public colleges and universities. Under the new legislation, students who graduated from a New Jersey high school where they had been in attendance for at least three years are eligible to receive in-state and in-county rates at state colleges, universities, and community college campuses. “This is what compromise looks like,” the governor said of the bill, deemed the state’s “Dream Act.” Christie signed the original bill with a conditional veto,

Put me down in the Roger Simon camp on this one: without wandering into Birther territory or the inconclusive musings of Jerome Corsi… who the heck is this guy, really? To put it bluntly: nobody knows nothin’ about the president of the United States, aka the leader of the free world. (Snip) Has there been a modern presidential candidate about whom we know less than the former Barry Soetoro? Other than what he’s told us about himself in Dreams from My Father — a book proven even by sympathetic biographers to be filled with fabrications (“a man one step removed from his own life,” according to David Maraniss)?

Smarting from the number of witnesses who came out to challenge The New York Times´ weekend article downplaying terrorist involvement in the 2012 Benghazi attack, NYT editorial page editor Andrew Rosenthal "argued that those trying to claim Al Qaeda was involved" do so "for strictly political reasons." According to Fox News, Rosenthal said: For anyone wondering why it´s so important to Republicans that Al Qaeda orchestrated the attack--or how the Obama administration described the attack in its immediate aftermath--the answer is simple. The Republicans hope to tarnish Democrat candidates by making it seem as though Mr. Obama doesn´t take Al Qaeda seriously. Rosenthal

MSNBC host Melissa Harris-Perry apologized Tuesday for openly mocking Mitt Romney´s black adopted grandson, after Sarah Palin led the chorus of conservatives who criticized the cable news host. The Romney family Christmas card was among the items featured in the "2013: The year in political ridiculousness" segment on the cable news show Sunday. In the photo, the former Republican presidential candidate and his wife Ann, who are both white, sit in the center of their 22 grandchildren. Nestled on Mitt´s knee is one toddler grandson and on his other knee he holds baby Kieran James, the adopted infant son of
