| FBI agents probing the murder of a Staten Island mom in Turkey said they don’t believe she was there just to take pictures — and said she hung out with a “criminal element” during the solo trip abroad. “There are a lot of open questions that need to be answered,” a source familiar with the ongoing case told The Post. Mother of two Sarai Sierra, 33, was found dead from a ferocious blow to the skull in a seedy area of Istanbul last Saturday after failing to show up for a Jan. 21 flight home to New York.

Just read an AT article by Alicia Colon who knew woman. It should be a warning to all women traveling alone in Muslim countries instead of media digging up dirt.

I consider myself a seasoned international traveller being military, having worked in Eastern Europe and Iraq and vacationing in many European countries. My husband and I visited Istanbul and I was even leery being out with him by my side. I would NEVER visit Turkey alone!

I apologize for a 2nd post but hit submit before I finished my thoughts....
When I left Iraq for the last time, I spent a month in Scotland driving around by myself on a photography trip. I had a Canon EOS 10D, 5 different lens and a tripod!

Vague references to "husband". Did I miss it or is his nationality mentioned? Do not buy the pleasant photo trip to cities with well documented reputations as drug transist points. And forgive me for raking islamic men into one pile but a western women who consort with muslim men are frequently abused and are considered disposable tarts. Theses relationships rarely end harmoniously.

There seem to be a lot of contradictions in the story. If someone had to raise money for her husband and brother to go to Turkey, where did she get the money from to travel ? Who leaves two small children like that ? It looks like she always has a head covering, maybe a convert.

Recent research indicates that the number of people who do not consider themselves a part of an organized religion is steadily on the rise. Interestingly enough, though the number of those religiously unaffiliated is increasing, there is little to no trend in the number of those who express atheist or agnostic beliefs. People aren’t saying they don’t believe in God. They’re saying they don’t believe in religion. They are not rejecting Christ. They are rejecting the church. This begs the question, “Why are we losing our religion?”

Gluten-free diets are all the rage, but they can be dangerous if not done right. What is gluten? It´s the spongy complex of proteins, found naturally in wheat, rye, and barley, that gives elasticity to dough and allows it to rise. When flour is moistened and either kneaded or mixed into dough, gluten molecules form an elastic, microscopic latticework that traps the carbon dioxide produced when yeast ferments, causing dough to inflate like a hot air balloon. Newtown killer Adam Lanza may have launched his murder spree at Sandy Hook Elementary School as an “act of revenge,” the Daily News has learned. A close friend of Lanza’s mother told The News that the troubled boy was a target of relentless bullying when he attended the Connecticut school years ago. “I think Adam felt betrayed by the school and this was his act of revenge,” said Marvin LaFontaine, a friend of Nancy Lanza’s. “Nancy told me he was being picked on at school.
