Obama Speechwriter
Heading for Hollywood

Breitbart Big Hollywood, by Christian Toto

Original Article

Writer Jon Favreau may just be a perfect fit for Hollywood. Favreau, President Barack Obama´s youthful speech writer, was once photographed groping a cardboard cutout of Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton. And Favreau served four years with Obama, helping the president pen speeches brimming with straw men, false promises and divisive rhetoric. That kind of creative background may give Favreau, not to be confused with the actor/director of the same name, a leg up in Tinsel Town. Favreau´s indifferent attitude toward powerful woman won´t seem out of place in the entertainment industry, which has a horrible track record promoting women

I remember Mr. o. saying that he was a better speech writer than his speech writers. Guess this young genius speech writer grew bored with the same old class warfare, gun grabbing, LGBT rants he was requested to write. Hope and Change gone within the first week of his last regime, replaced by fear and misery. Sad and boring topics for any speechwriter.

President Obama will hold his first solo press conference in more than three months on Friday before he departs for a weeklong vacation at Martha´s Vineyard. The summer has been unkind to Obama, with controversies at home and abroad wearing down his approval rating. His poll numbers have dipped 5 points since he last spoke to the media in April, according to a Fox News survey released Thursday, and his overall approval rating is at 42 percent, just 2 percent points above the low point in his presidency. With his personal popularity flagging, the president will try to

New Jersey Republican Gov. Chris Christie signed 10 pieces of gun legislation into law Thursday. Christie, widely seen as a probable GOP candidate for president in 2016, signed off on the slate of bills, most of which were non-controversial, while leaving five more contentious bills still awaiting his signature or veto. One of the new laws will disqualify any person on the federal terrorist watch list from obtaining firearms identification cards or permits to purchase handguns. “To the extent that this bill will keep guns out of the hands of known terrorists, or those who have taken active steps to support

WASHINGTON — President Barack Obama says he’ll hold a news conference at the White House on Friday. Obama will answer reporters’ questions in the midst of a terror alert that led the government to close nearly two dozen embassies and consulates in the Middle East and North Africa. And just this week, Obama canceled a one-on-one summit next month in Moscow with Russian President Vladimir Putin (POO’-tihn), in part because of Russia’s decision to grant asylum to National Security Agency leaker Edward Snowden. The news conference also comes a day before Obama leaves Washington for a nine-day vacation

Thieves now brazenly steal while you´re pumping gas. It´s been happening across the country, from Florida to Texas to Kentucky to Washington, D.C., according to reports on NBC´s Today and ABC´s Good Morning America. Women seem to be primary targets in what are usually drive-by purse-snatchings. While a driver´s at the rear of the vehicle focusing on pumping gas, a car pulls up on the passenger side -- nothing unusual at a gas station -- and the thief quickly gets out, creeps over, opens the front passenger door and grabs the goods. WASHINGTON — U.S. officials insisted Tuesday that extraordinary security measures for nearly two dozen diplomatic posts were to thwart an “immediate, specific threat,” a claim questioned by counterterrorism experts, who note that the alert covers an incongruous set of nations from the Middle East to an island off the southern coast of Africa. Analysts don’t dispute the Obama administration’s narrative that it’s gleaned intelligence on a plot involving al Qaida’s most active affiliate, the Yemen-based Arabian Peninsula branch. That would explain why most U.S. posts in the Persian Gulf are on lockdown, including the U.

Critics of the president are convinced that Barack Obama will do lasting damage to the U.S. I doubt it. Obama came to power in the third year of large Democratic congressional majorities. In his first referendum, he lost the House and he may soon lose the Senate; in other words, there followed a somewhat normal reaction against a majority party. Obama’s popularity rating is well below 50%, despite an obsequious media and a brilliantly negative billion-dollar campaign that long ago turned Mitt Romney into a veritable elevator-using, equestrian-marrying, canine-hating monster. Former Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney jumped into the debate over the GOP’s future Tuesday night, warning congressional Republicans against forcing a government shutdown in their quest to stop President Barack Obama’s signature health care law. Ending a war is a good thing. Killing civilians a bad thing. Deliberately targeting civilians is murder, and is never morally licit, even in pursuit of a good thing such as ending a war. The tens of thousands of Japanese non-combatants we killed 68 years ago this week with two nuclear bombs were not “collateral damage” of military strikes. They were the intended targets. We hoped that mass murder would bring the Japanese emperor to surrender. It worked, and American and Japanese soldiers’ lives were probably saved by it —

In a rare diplomatic snub, President Obama is canceling plans to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow next month. The decision reflects both U.S. anger over Russia´s harboring of National Security Agency leaker Edward Snowden and growing frustration within the Obama administration over what it sees as Moscow´s stubbornness on other key issues, including missile defense and human rights. Obama will still attend the Group of 20 economic summit in St. Petersburg, Russia, but a top White House official said the president had no plans to hold one-on-one talks with Putin while there.

In a move some claim is tantamount to social engineering, the Department of Housing and Urban Development is imposing a new rule that would allow the feds to track diversity in America’s neighborhoods and then push policies to change those it deems discriminatory. The policy is called, "Affirmatively Furthering Fair Housing." It will require HUD to gather data on segregation and discrimination in every single neighborhood and try to remedy it.
