| This is the story of how a hatchet-wielding hitchhiker saved the day during an incredibly bizarre sequence of events to become the latest Daily Caller Patriot. (A Daily Caller Patriot is defined as, “Someone who stands up for individual liberty in the most awesomely ridiculous, obnoxious or just outright stupid way possible.” We don’t hand these out very often, so it is kind of a big deal when we do.) A homeless hitchhiker in Fresno, Calif. scored a ride over Sunday with a 300-pound man claiming to be Jesus Christ.

As a young, passionate Hispanic who happens to be one of the most brilliant and accomplished constitutional experts and Supreme Court lawyers in the U.S. Senate in over half a century, Cruz poses a clear frustration for the left—and some in the Republican establishment as well. A very courageous fifth-grade teacher in the Chicago Public Schools has written a scathing critique of the almost comical misery she and her students endured when they participated in a massive February 28 event kicking off Michelle Obama’s Let’s Move! Active Schools campaign. The First Lady’s campaign is an effort to improve (and in some cases, bring back) physical education in American schools. White House officials called the event “a groundbreaking, earth-shattering, awesomely-inspiring day.” Lisa Putnam and her fifth grades most certainly did not experience the event the same way, however.

President Obama must have been stunned at the "audacity" of Dr. Benjamin Carson in challenging his core assumptions right to his face in front of thousands of people at the National Prayer Breakfast. Obama is not used to being challenged, especially in public, even if indirectly and without being specifically named. From the look on his face, it was obvious Obama was none too pleased with Carson´s message or with his "presumptuousness" in presenting it in that forum, while he had to sit still and -- remain silent.

RUSH: Folks, I don´t know how else to categorize this. We are living in a dying country. I don´t know how else to categorize what´s happening -- 88,000 new jobs. The unemployment rate, because of a terrible statistic, is down to 7.6%. The number of people in this country who are not working is shameful. Ninety million Americans are no longer in the workforce. Ninety million. People not in the labor force grew by 663,000, and now 90 million. That´s the labor force participation rate. This is 1979 levels.
