| Voter integrity group True the Vote (TTV) filed a federal lawsuit Monday against St. Lucie County Florida Supervisor of Elections Gertrude Walker for failing to uphold election law and for failing to enforce record inspection rights under the National Voter Registration Act and the Florida Constitution. The lawsuit has been filed in light of the gross mishandling of the recount between Rep. Allen West and now Rep. Patrick Murphy by St. Lucie County election officials. "True the Vote´s lawsuit will provide information kept from the public. It will allow for a public debate on exactly what happened,

I posted this link yesterday on another related thread, but here it is again for those who missed it. Of course, citizens could never get away with this kind of action in today´s leftist environment, but it shows the courage people displayed when they had to fight an unresponsive, corrupt government in their county:

Pardon my French, but it´s about dam- time! Let´s also look at some of the counties/districts/precincts where more than 100% of the registered voters voted DEMOCRAT with no votes for Romney!
Let´s open it all up. Forget about the agreement between the two parties (probably written by Reince Priebus and Karl Rove) that agreed to no recounts and no recriminations. The Dems would not abide by it if the situation were reversed.

West would have been rejected by the Dems, but he seemed to quit too easily and too soon, and with insufficient anger.

The integrity of our precious and basic Right to have the votes of American citizens secured and counted correctly MUST not be corrupted in any way. Yet voter fraud and corruption of our votes keeps surfacing, and increasingly so every election. The laws need to be strictly enforced to prevent fraud!
Each & every citizen of the USA has the Right to vote LEGALLY in order to preserve the Liberty which so many have fought and died for throughout our country´s history!! ´´ILLEGAL votes´´ are just that and the perps must be prosecuted as corruption breeds MORE corruption.

Better late than never. It would have been better if the Republicans had supported West and gotten involved in this election count fight before the Dem was sworn in as the new congressman. However, the folks at True The Vote are doing a great job. Instead of sending money to the RNC, send it to TTV. I´d like to see them turn the Voting Rights Act against the Dems, who view this as "their law" to use against Republicans. I´m tired of the presumption of racism against Republicans that is embedded into the enforcement of this law. The sooner we turn it against the racist Dems, the sooner they get rid of this bad law.

And we can reduce our deficit, stabilize our debt, and do so without sacrificing the kinds of investments that are going to be required to grow. During his remarks, the president spoke of the

One of the first political issues negotiators must tackle in crafting an immigration reform bill is among the most important: what to name it. It’s a decision that will bruise egos, create legacies and deeply affect subsequent messaging battles. “Every time the bill is mentioned in the press, you either have a brand that´s positive or a brand that doesn´t mean anything or even hurts you,” said Frank Sharry, the executive director of the pro-immigration reform group America’s Voice. The wrong name, he warned, could doom a good bill. “If there´s not a

Recent research indicates that the number of people who do not consider themselves a part of an organized religion is steadily on the rise. Interestingly enough, though the number of those religiously unaffiliated is increasing, there is little to no trend in the number of those who express atheist or agnostic beliefs. People aren’t saying they don’t believe in God. They’re saying they don’t believe in religion. They are not rejecting Christ. They are rejecting the church. This begs the question, “Why are we losing our religion?”

Put out an all-points bulletin: Millions of Americans have gone missing from the workforce. Every month that those would-be workers are gone raises the odds that they might never come back, dimming the prospects for future economic growth. The vanishing trend is more than a decade old, but it accelerated during the Great Recession. Throughout 2012, economists held out hope that it had stopped. But then came Friday’s jobs report, and hopes were dashed. The Labor Department reported that the U.S. labor force — everyone who has a job or is looking for one — shrank

Gluten-free diets are all the rage, but they can be dangerous if not done right. What is gluten? It´s the spongy complex of proteins, found naturally in wheat, rye, and barley, that gives elasticity to dough and allows it to rise. When flour is moistened and either kneaded or mixed into dough, gluten molecules form an elastic, microscopic latticework that traps the carbon dioxide produced when yeast ferments, causing dough to inflate like a hot air balloon. Baking hardens the gluten, which helps the finished product keep its shape. Wheat — and gluten — is ubiquitous in the American diet.
