Obama Sees His Shadow:
4 More Years of Gloom

PJ Media, by Rick Moran

Original Article

President Obama emerged from the White House this morning and after sniffing the air and pawing at the ground, he gave us the bad news: he definitely sees his shadow which means 4 more years of economic gloom and doom: Despite these “big” gains, unemployment climbed to 7.9% — higher than when Obama took office amid the “worst recession since the Great Depression.” That 7.9% is deceptively low: It fails to account for the exodus of 8.5 million from the labor force under Obama. As a result, the Bureau of Labor Statistics’ broader measure of unemployment

There will be crisis after crisis requiring the medias full attention that will never include jobs. Ever wonder why there has never been a jobs complaint interview featuring a black person?

Today´s Philadelphia Inquirer and the NY Times have similar stories on the Depression-like quality of the Obama economy, with both articles posted on Lucianne. Since these Obama worshipping papers have worked tirelessly in support of Obama, these two articles may be pointing to small shift of opinion. As Obama´s mad policies and diabolical regulations continue to destroy jobs and reduce middle class income for no measurable benefits, we may see more actual news stories about the consequences of Obamaism. While the stories will never directly fault Obama, readers will gradually understand the damage that is being done to people, specifically minorities, women and young people, and by extension, to state and municipal budgets.

Anthony Weiner had a good life: a congressman who was a possible heir to the Chuck Schumer throne and married to the adoptive daughter of the Clintons. He had a personal net worth of nearly a million dollars, millions more in campaign donations, and a future written in political fantasies. So why wasn’t this enough? Everyone knows an Anthony Weiner. They don’t all run for political office or live their lives in the public eye. But they do have a good life that they are hell-bent on destroying. The disease of discontent is rampant in America,

The nation´s leading climate change advocate, former Vice President Al Gore, is creating a mini army of "climate leaders" to push governments and companies around the world to adopt policies aimed at reducing global warming. On Wednesday in Chicago Gore will host his second "climate reality leadership corps training" this year where his Climate Reality Project will show supporters how to talk about the issue and push for solutions to carbon burning. Just last month, he held a similar event in Istanbul where one attendee said she was "moved to tears" when Gore spoke about global warming.

The news that NBC is planning to film a miniseries on the life of Hillary Clinton may be interpreted in some quarters as just another lollipop being thrown by the network at its Democratic crush. The movie will star actress Diane Lane as the former first lady, senator, and secretary of state and will cover her life from the 1998 Monica Lewinsky scandal up until the present day. Though we are told the work would include “aspects that were both critical of Mrs. Clinton and supportive of her,” it’s not likely the network with a cable news outlet

Late last week, San Diego Bob Filner let everyone know that he was headed to therapy after seven women accused him of sexual harassment, hoping that a two-week stint getting help would let him keep his office. And now, it looks like the mayor wants the city of San Diego to pitch in, too, by paying his legal fees in a sexual harassment lawsuit. That lawsuit was filed by attorney Gloria Allred on behalf of Filner´s former press secretary, Irene McCormack Jackson. The request for the city to pay for Filner´s defense, filed by attorney Harvey Berger, will go

Delay Is Better than Defund

There has been a fair amount of discussion in recent days about whether Republicans should try to defund Obamacare. The instinct to do something about Obamacare is right. But Republicans can learn something from the American people. As polls have consistently shown, Americans like the idea of delaying—and of repealing—Obamacare. But they don’t like the sound of defunding it. In terms of policy, either approach would produce essentially the same result. (Whether the Obamacare exchanges are delayed for a year, or its exchange subsidies are defunded for a year, the result would be no taxpayer-funded Obamacare exchanges next year.)

CAIRO - Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas laid out his vision on Monday for the final status of Israeli-Palestinian relations ahead of peace talks due to resume in Washington for the first time in nearly three years. Abbas said that no Israeli settlers or border forces could remain in a future Palestinian state and that Palestinians deem illegal all Jewish settlement building within the land occupied in the 1967 Six Days War. The forceful statements appeared to challenge mediator US Secretary of State John Kerry´s hopes that the terms of the talks,

WASHINGTON — WHEN you puzzle over why the elegant Huma Abedin is propping up the eel-like Anthony Weiner, you must remember one thing: Huma was raised in Saudi Arabia, where women are treated worse by men than anywhere else on the planet. Comparatively speaking, the pol from Queens probably seems like a prince. Even though he’s a punk. After he got caught sexting and flashing women online in 2011, he promised to “never, ever” do that to his family again and slouched away from Congress. He cyber-creeped other young women in a pervy bout of tweet du seigneur

Detroit is a symbol of the old economy’s decline. It’s not just the derelict center; the metropolitan area as a whole lost population between 2000 and 2010, the worst performance among major cities. Atlanta, by contrast, epitomizes the rise of the Sun Belt; it gained more than a million people over the same period, roughly matching the performance of Dallas and Houston without the extra boost from oil. Yet in one important respect booming Atlanta looks just like Detroit gone bust: both are places where the American dream seems to be dying, where the children of the poor

Instead, Bulger´s attorneys began his defense with former FBI agent Robert Fitzpatrick who told the court that the agency was corrupt and that his career was ruined because he tried to end the FBI´s ties to Bulger. The credibility of the former agent was promptly attacked by the federal prosecutor who asked Fitzpatrick whether he told tall tales, like claiming to have found the rifle

MINNEAPOLIS -- At least 10 suspected Nazi war criminals ordered deported by the United States never left the country, according to an Associated Press review of Justice Department data - and four are living in the U.S. today. All remained eligible for public benefits such as Social Security until they exhausted appeals, and in one case even beyond. Quiet American legal limbo was the fate of all 10 men uncovered in the AP review. The reason: While the U.S. wanted them out, no other country was willing to take them in. Like you, I would rather spend three weeks trapped inside a hot, windowless bus waddling from Maine to Seattle than hear another thing about Alex Rodriguez. It´s exhausting. Insufferable. I would like to build a pinstriped rocket ship and launch the saga of A-Rod into outer space, where it can be adjudicated and picked apart far from Earth. (Snip) The hullabaloo over Rodriguez is even siphoning attention from the best story on his own club: the final lap of Mariano Rivera, closer of closers, whose classy career serves as a photographic negative of his absent third baseman´s.

Many low-income families receive government assistance to help them purchase food and housing. Diapers are another story, a new study suggests. In what they are calling the first peer-reviewed study to quantify diaper need, Yale University researchers have found nearly a third of mothers cannot afford to purchase their infants diapers, raising health risks for not only babies but for moms who become stressed over the finances.
