Cloward and Piven,
immigration reform
& ‘nothing left to lose’

Daily Inter Lake [Kalispell MT], by Frank Miele

Original Article

With apologies to Kris Kristofferson, “immigration reform” is just another phrase for “nothing left to lose,” and as Janis Joplin sang in her version of “Me and Bobby McGee,” “Nothing don’t mean nothing honey if it ain’t free.”Let’s face it, whether you are talking about immigration reform by George W. Bush, immigration reform by John McCain, immigration reform by Barack Obama, or immigration reform by Marco Rubio, all you get is the same old “nothing left to lose.” And maybe, at long last, they are right — maybe we have sunk so low, there is nothing left to fight for.

Comments:
Immigration "reform" as part of the longtime plan to bankrupt the country on the way to "transforming" us into a socialist dictatorship. Hmmm. Maybe yes.

Why not have an amnesty before every future election so the liberal Democrats can pick up the votes of several million new poor illegal aliens in return for gaining them access to the full course of US social welfare programs?

Marco Rubio says if they haven´t broken any law but entering the country illegally, as long as they pay "back taxes" we let them in. If they owe taxes, that means they worked illegally, used somebody else´s Social Security Number, illegally, and committed identity theft. At least two crimes other than entering the country illegaly. So I guess we will reward the law breakers. I bet the all the flights from India and China will be full of law breakers coming here to "better themselves". The Latino´s think this is all about them. The over 1Billion Indians and Chinese are looking for opportunities too, and will overload our immigration system like no one has ever seen.

This will sound like Hitler, but here I go: build a wall along both borders; do a house by house search for any illegal IE: expired visas, no documents proving US born, no discounts for anchor babies (they get dual citizenship), 20 million jobs become available, unemployment and welfare go to negative numbers, all the democrats are now working and decide to vote republican because they don’t want to give away their hard earned money. This solves the United States of America problems. To be continued.

The collapse of civilization is a fun place to visit in movies like “Apocalypse Z” or books like “Alas, Babylon,” but I wouldn’t want to live there. Rich Scheben, on the other hand, is ready and waiting. Scheben, of Eureka, Mont., is convinced (and he is not alone in this) that as Americans in general become more and more dependent on the mechanisms of big government and big business for their well-being, the only path to true security in the coming years is going to be self-sufficiency.That’s why he wrote a book called “One New York Man’s Journey to Off Grid Living

One of the most heart-breaking medical tragedies of recent years occurred earlier this month when a 13-year-old girl woke up from surgery for a tonsillectomy, asked for a popsicle, and then started bleeding profusely from her mouth and nose, leading to a heart attack as a result of loss of blood[SNIP] When we see trained medical professionals reacting so coldly to the pleas and needs of a family in a medical crisis,it can only remind me of the warning of Sarah Palin and others of the danger of turning our most personal life-and-death decisions over to bureaucrats and functionaries.

I can honestly say that the last thing I wanted to write about on the Sunday before Christmas was “Duck Dynasty.”Nonetheless, as I read about the continuing controversy over the comments made by “Dynasty” star Phil Robertson regarding homosexuality, I started to feel like it might be a topic worth exploring.[SNIP]All that really matters is that America is at war with itself. The fight between A&E and Robertson is actually a fight between traditional values and secular humanism, and what it reveals is the deep divide that exists between those two world views that inhabit the same political body.

We literally owe trillions of dollars — not just in the national debt, but also in unfunded liabilities for various entitlements.

Obamacare didn’t happen overnight. For the last 75 years, progressives have trotted out the idea of compulsory health care or subsidized national health insurance every decade or so, been defeated, and then gone back to the drawing board.Their tenaciousness finally paid off in 2010 when Congress by the narrowest of margins passed a bill with no Republican votes, and President Obama signed into law his “signature” achievement. No wonder Vice President Biden took the opportunity on that occasion to tell the president that passing health-care reform was a “big f---ing deal.”But now that the fruits of national health insurance are

The JFK assassination may never be solved completely. Too much time has passed and too many witnesses are dead. But there is also far too much evidence of a conspiracy to ever conclude decisively that Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone in killing President Kennedy. Thanks to the 50th anniversary of the assassination, which took place in Dallas on Nov. 22, 1963, there has been a resurgence of interest that has led to a spate of books and television shows re-examining the evidence against Oswald, a 24-year-old former Marine who had defected to Russia in 1959 and then returned to the United

It would seem that the power to tax and spend is a lure to potential tyrants as much as putrefying carrion is to bare-toothed scavengers.[SNIP]No wonder the Tea Party, with its insistence on turning off the federal spigot, is being painted by progressives as a danger to the national well-being. For the most part, I have concluded that serious change of the U.S. Constitution to reflect the original intent of the nations’ founders is virtually impossible. Black dogs don´t get as adopted as easily as others animals of other colors. The reason is largely because of some common misconceptions about them. Black dogs are mischaracterized as mean and potentially violent and according to NBC News. Black Dog Syndrome is a phenomenon in which dogs with black fur often go unadopted because of misinformed stereotypes. Black dogs are are euthanized at a much higher rate than dogs with different complexions. Many owners of black dogs say they are sweet, lovable, but also unwanted. The chances of being adopted are poor if you´re a black dog.

That’s the gist of a late-breaking story Monday evening in The Wall Street Journal. The story notes that though the investigation may go on another few months, unless other evidence is unearthed, the FBI conclusion will be that the IRS was a “mismanaged bureaucracy” enforcing rules “ it didn’t understand.” Without the evidence, we’re not in a position to say. In 1994 or early 1995 the still unknown Barack Obama sent his editor at Times Books, Henry Ferris, the first two-thirds of his memoir Dreams from My Father. He told Ferris that to complete the book, he had to return to Kenya to do some research. The evidence strongly suggests that Obama went not to Kenya to do that research but to the local library to do some borderline plagiarizing. In the way of background, Barack and Michelle Obama visited Kenya in the summer of 1992 and married in October of that year. There is little dispute about the timing of

Washington - Just days after dismissing two top advisers for their roles in the George Washington Bridge scandal, New Jersey Gov. CNN has learned that federal officials are investigating whether Christie improperly used those relief funds to produce tourism ads that starred him and his family. The news couldn´t come at a worse time for the scandal-plagued Republican, who is facing two probes into whether his staff tied up traffic near the country´s busiest bridge to punish a Democratic mayor who refused to endorse his successful re-election bid.

Before Chris Christie’s first scandal devolves into an obsessive quest to prove who knew what, when, it’s worth pausing to appreciate the wonderful, quintessential New Jerseyness of the incident itself. What happened, roughly, is this. On August 13, Bridget Anne Kelly, one of Christie’s three deputy chiefs of staff, sent an email to David Wildstein, a Christie confidant serving as an executive for the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, which controls much of the transit infrastructure of northern Jersey. Kelly said that it was “time for some traffic problems in Fort Lee.” Some speculate that the precipitating
