White House releases photo of Obama
shooting at Camp David

Fox News, by Staff

The White House has released a photograph of President Obama skeet shooting at Camp David -- some proof for critics skeptical about whether Obama, amid efforts to tighten gun control, saying he takes target practice at the presidential retreat and that he has a “profound respect” of the tradition of hunting. The official photo apparently depicts Obama – wearing protective glasses and earmuffs -- firing the shotgun Aug. 4, 2012. It was released Friday on the White House’s Flickr account.

Gee...we´re sorry...but was the White House laboring under the delusion that America isn´t fully aware Obama spends most of his waking hours shooting...

What? Guns? Oh...sorry. Thought it was verbal scatology related...

With the way his cheek was sucked down against the stock, he only fired one shot.

Not so fast, boys and girls. August 4th is the president´s birthday and he spent it playing golf. It´s all over FB; someone has proven once again that the skeeter-in-chief is an inveterate liar.

Nope, just one of his "doubles". He must have an entire closet full of "look alikes". Other potus´ had doubles who filled in for them, why should this one be any different?

Skeet shooters wear a vest to carry their ammo, their spent shells, and to cushion against the recoil of the shotgun. Skeet shooters typically don´t stand straight up, they lean forward just a little. The President can shoot skeet any way he wants to, as any rich guy with his personal skeet range, but the photo has a staged look. Go to any skeet range and see what I´m talking about.

Reply 9 - Posted by: Persecutor2, 2/2/2013 6:06:36 PM     (No. 9154857)

If I´m not mistaken, skeet shooters also aim their guns at the clays, which are up in the air--not straight downrange at shoulder height. BTW, I didn´t know Obama was left-handed...

I´ve been reading about this photo on various sites. Someone said they were able to enlarge it and could see the date on obama´s watch. It was January 31 2013. I have no idea if that´s true.

Most people don´t shoot skeet or trap with dark sunglasses on.
Yes, he should be leaning forward a bit.
Hopefully only one barrel was loaded, so when he dropped the shotgun, he didn´t Cheney someone.

$10 says he heard the Secret Service detail out there, wandered out, and said, "Hey guys, can I try that?" ... and the response was, well, muted. "Uh... sure, Mr. President... now here´s all you have to do..."

Yes, the big o is left handed. That was made clear to all us serfs when he signed something really important in front of those moving picture boxes. BTW, in addition to the skeet he shoots, he fires at duck decoys too with seldom missing a one.

what the heck is coming out the side of the barrel? it looks like a over under break action so no gas recoil vent for a semi - very low res photo

Notice his left hand is on the barrel and not fully on the wood stock. Bet he has one heck of a hand burn.

Is that smoke for real or was that photoshopped too?

Just more proof of the low IQ of Democrats and those who are tagged as "Obama Hindlickers" for believing him.

I could care less if he did or didn´t fire a weapon, if he respects hunting, if he shoots skeet. Gun control isn´t about hunting. It´s about deterring my ability to defend the inalienable rights of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness bestowed upon me by my creator, my god. No man has the right to do that.

That’s what you get when you have a bunch of photo-shoppers who know nothing about guns!

They never heard of smokeless powder?!

Shotguns don’t emit blue smoke when they are fired.
Any smoke seen would be dark-gray…

If it’s not photo-shopped it’s staged with a phony round set to produce all that smoke. (A movie set scenario, perhaps?)

The most interesting part of the photo, for me, is his sighting plane and the location of the butt of the gun.

A cheesy - and clearly staged - stunt intended for the consumption of low information voters, i.e., stupid people.

Many previous posters on this thread got the phoniness of this just right: dark glasses, standing up too straight, firing downrange, no vest. He probably got off one round for the cameras and called it a day. At least he didn´t ask, in a really butch voice, "Where can I get me a huntin´ license?" like John Fraud Kerry.

And then this: "The back-and-fourth about whether the ....." ´Fourth´? Are they all using Dragon Dictation software instead of typing these articles?

Lastly, he had to look manly on guns. He couldn´t choose hunting. Nobody would believe it. Skeet and trap shooting is an Olympic sport and, therefore, manly as well as cosmopolitan. He ´satisfies´ both sides by doing this.

And to think we had a Revolution over an increased tax on tea.

It is time we regain our Republic. My sincere hope is that the tree of liberty isn´t thirsty.

This photo is a good example of the generalized Obama failure to surround himself with informed people.

If he was going to get his picture taken shooting skeet, he should have had a real skeet shooter on hand to get him into the right clothing, hold the gun the right way and in the right direction, and have him shoot 8 or 10 rounds before the picture is taken so he relaxes a bit.

If he had done all that, he would have developed a better understanding and respect for target shooters in general AND he might have realized that skeet shooting can be fun.

Having power is not the same thing as being a real man.

Recent research indicates that the number of people who do not consider themselves a part of an organized religion is steadily on the rise. Interestingly enough, though the number of those religiously unaffiliated is increasing, there is little to no trend in the number of those who express atheist or agnostic beliefs. People aren’t saying they don’t believe in God. They’re saying they don’t believe in religion. They are not rejecting Christ. They are rejecting the church. This begs the question, “Why are we losing our religion?”

No one is more preoccupied these days with Hillary Clinton´s 2016 plans than the Beltway political class—not even the former presidential candidate herself. To hear some tell it, her decision will be dispositive for all other Democrats thinking of entering the race. And pundits and reporters aren´t the only ones positing the "The Hillary Factor": No less than the House Democratic whip, Steny Hoyer, told BuzzFeed, “I don´t know that anybody would run against Hillary…. If she runs, she clears the field.” It´s an understandable conclusion, given Clinton´s stature in the Democratic Party and her 70 percent

Put out an all-points bulletin: Millions of Americans have gone missing from the workforce. Every month that those would-be workers are gone raises the odds that they might never come back, dimming the prospects for future economic growth. The vanishing trend is more than a decade old, but it accelerated during the Great Recession. Throughout 2012, economists held out hope that it had stopped. But then came Friday’s jobs report, and hopes were dashed. The Labor Department reported that the U.S. labor force — everyone who has a job or is looking for one — shrank

Susan Patton, the Princeton alumna who became famous for her letter urging Ivy League women to use their college years to find a mate, has been denounced as a traitor to feminism, to coeducation, to the university ideal. But really she’s something much more interesting: a traitor to her class. Her betrayal consists of being gauche enough to acknowledge publicly a truth that everyone who’s come up through Ivy League culture knows intuitively —

Beyonce and Jay-Z celebrated their fifth wedding anniversary in Cuba this week. The couple, who married on April 4, 2008, took in the sights of Old Havana, visited a school, dined on a rooftop terrace and strolled the fan-filled streets in their island best.(snip).The power couple declined to answer journalists´ questions about their visit to the island nation, but some outlets are reporting that the moguls are there as tourists, though that would be illegal because of the half-century embargo the U.S. has on the Communist country. However, the Miami Herald said Washington has issued special licenses for
