White House publishes
photo of Obama shooting

Washington Examiner [DC], by Byron York

Original Article

Posted By:KarenJ1, 2/2/2013 10:41:56 AM

In response to skepticism of President Obama’s statement that, “Up at Camp David, we do skeet shooting all the time,” the White House has released a photo of the president firing a shotgun. Former top Obama campaign aide David Plouffe linked to the photo in a tweet that read: “Attn skeet birthers. Make our day — let the photoshop conspiracies begin!”
Headline corrected by Staff.

Oh sigh. skeet birthers?? Those morons in the White House act like immature teenagers. This is the entire article with the pathetic photo.

Shouldn´t the gun be aimed at a slightly higher angle?

That was a practice shot, obviously.

Too bad they didn´t grab a shot a split-second later of Obama knocked on his Mom Jeans-clad rear from the recoil.

He´s shoots more awkwardly than he throws a baseball.

There are some people on a range you fear just by their manner of handling their firearms, the sort of person you keep looking over at firing point because you fear they are going to shoot you or themselves by accident. This is a photo of what that person looks like.

Poor form, no shooting jacket or shell box. He looks uncomfortable and appears to be aiming nearly straight out which is pretty low for clay birds. Someone who knows a lot more about shotgun shooting than I do can probably point out a whole lot more. All that being said, no photoshop required, the thing speaks for itself. Reminds me of his baseball throwing skills and bike riding pictures.

I am a USMC Rifle Expert (12th award) and Obama s off hand position shows that he is a novice shooter. The gun butt is too high in his shoulder, his posture is wrong and he is over gripping. If this is the best photo they can find he must really be a bad shooter. He shoots like he throws balls. Sick to golf Barry,.
Btw don´t buy wonderful brand pistachios after they paid psy to do their Super Bowl commercial. I guess they too want to see dead US soldiers.

When Neil Armstrong died last August, the White House published a photo of Obama standing after dark looking skyward at a crescent moon. It was captioned "Obama remembers Neil Armstrong by gazing at the moon." There was a silhouette of a helo rotor and a couple of bodyguards or whomever nearby. Lost is the fact that when Armstrong died, it was during a waxing gibbous moon. Anyone who isn´t skeptical of every last thing that this White House flushes or shovels in our direction is either living in a cave or is a Democrat.

What´s that smoke spurting out about 3/4 the way up the barrel?
Is it being used to indicate wind speed and direction?
This photo needs to be cleaned up a bit more.
Also, modern powders leave very little smoke.
Are we sure that this is not an air gun?

I know all of us here get this as just another case of 0bama´s fibs in a long line of lies and obstructions.

But, surrounded by liberals, I see this as another case of the 0bamiacs setting up yet another "controversy" that ended up making his opponents look small and snarky. This is the face a large segment of the population sees of 0bama´s opposition: petty and unserious.

Meanwhile, 0bama is systematically destroying our beloved country. Let´s start ignoring this small stuff and stay focused like a laser on two or three things that are vitally important.

That is an awfully big shotgun for such a little man. The vertical smoke is from small holes drilled into the top of the barrel or ´porting.´ It helps to soften the recoil and counter barrel rise. If you wonder how useful that is for this type of shooting, you would have to ask the owner, because I would bet EVERY dollar I have and every one I could borrow that that man did NOT purchase it for himself. He took a shot for the cameras and that is the last time he will fire that 12 gauge with low recoil shells. So arrogant, so full of himself, he can´t imagine how anyone would look at him and know instantly that he has yet to go thru a box of shells. Hint, Mr. President, shouldering a 12 gauge that way will give you a bruise, and you lean INTO it. BTW, if this guy is shooting a launched target, he is about as accurate or as late to the game as he is on anything.

President Obama marveled at the sheer size of the Colosseum during a private sightseeing tour Thursday night in Rome. "This is bigger than some current baseball stadiums," Obama told reporters, noting the size exceeded Wrigley Field in his hometown of Chicago. "I have to check on what it seats. It´s remarkable. The Obama administration is considering whether to require that television broadcasts of emergency announcements be provided in different languages. The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) on Thursday said it is reconsidering a rule that would provide Spanish broadcasts of emergency alerts and other important announcements. The rule was originally recommended in the wake of Hurricane Katrina in 2005. Back then, groups including the Minority Media and Telecommunications Council (MMTC) petitioned the FCC to require broadcasters to notify Spanish listeners in the event of an emergency. Passing comprehensive immigration reform is more important than Democrats´ success at the polls in November, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) said Thursday. A number of Republicans and other conservative voices have accused Pelosi and the Democrats of using the immigration reform issue as a political crutch, suggesting the Democrats would rather keep the issue alive for campaign purposes than actually pass a bill. But Pelosi on Thursday rejected that notion outright, and she didn´t mince words. The Republican Party´s rising Senate prospects are forcing House Republicans to craft a health care agenda that could function as a feasible legislative blueprint for overhauling Obamacare in January 2015. The Republican-controlled House has approved legislation to repeal the Affordable Care Act and reform aspects of the law several times, only to see the bills die in a Democratic-led Senate that is committed to preserving the law. That dynamic would change if Republicans win six Democratic-held seats and assume control of the Senate in November, as appears increasingly possible. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D., Nev.) said the fault of struggling to sign up on the Obamacare exchanges didn’t lie with the faulty website, but with the people who weren’t “educated on how to use the Internet.” Explaining the reasoning behind the latest Obamacare delay, Reid said too many people just didn’t know to use their computer properly and needed more time. Apparently, it had nothing to do with the well-documented failings of the website that have embarrassed the White House for months. “We have hundreds of thousands of people who tried to sign up who didn’t get through,” he said.

Okay, THAT was certainly embarrassing. At the end of a joint news conference with Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte in the Netherlands on Tuesday, the applause for Barack Obama came from a grand total of one guy. One. After thanking the crowd twice for suffering through his boring, standard worn-out spiel, Obama looked around the room, expecting the usual fanfare and applause he receives from his loyal followers back home. It never came. Instead, the Leader of the Free World was met with one slow, awkward clap. Question: was MSNBC’s Chris Matthews in the house?

Six months ago, Chairman of the House Oversight Committee Darrell Issa subpoenaed the emails of former head of IRS Tax Exempt Organizations Lois Lerner. Lerner was in charge during the IRS´ inappropriate targeting of conservative, patriot and tea party groups. IRS officials have failed to comply with the subpoena and today during a hearing on Capitol Hill, Issa threatened IRS Commissioner John A. Koskinen, one of only two political appointees at the agency, with contempt. "Unfortunately you´ve been more concerned with managing political fallout than complying with this Committee," Issa said, urging Koskinen to comply or "potentially be held in

U.S. President Barack Obama and Pope Francis met Thursday for the first time at Vatican City, offering a chance for a reset of sorts between the administration and Catholic leadership following years of strained relations. The two world leaders greeted each other with a smile and a handshake, and posed for pictures before sitting down across a table from each other. The goal of the meeting: Focus on areas where two of the world´s most influential men agree and gently tread ground where they differ. The President and the Pontiff will, as the White House said in a statement, focus on "shared commitment

Washington - A leading Democratic pollster predicted a "sobering" turnout disadvantage for her party in this year´s midterm elections and called on Democrats to articulate "a bigger economic agenda" this fall. "There is a huge turnout disadvantage and challenge," Democratic pollster Celinda Lake said Tuesday at a breakfast with reporters. "There is always a challenge in turnout in an off year, but it´s really dramatic this time." Lake was speaking a breakfast hosted by the Christian Science Monitor. Lake and Republican pollster Ed Goeas revealed results of a new George Washington University poll that showed GOP voter intensity in 2014 outpacing

Nearly six in 10 people disapprove of President Obama´s job performance in a new poll by the Associated Press, the highest rating recorded by the newswire. According to the AP-GFK survey released Wednesday, 59 percent disapprove of Obama´s job performance while 41 percent approve. A similar poll released by the news outlet in January found 45 percent approved of him while 53 percent disapproved. Other recent polling has found Obama´s disapproval rating slightly lower, remaining in the low 50s. A CBS News poll Tuesday showed 50 percent disapproval, while Gallup has his disapproval at 52 percent. In the AP poll,

As the U.S. Supreme Court weighed the constitutionality of a contraception coverage mandate Tuesday morning, a federal appeals court heard a separate legal challenge that could have much more sweeping implications for the future of President Obama´s health care law. And if the oral arguments before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit are any indication, it’s time for the White House to start sweating over a lawsuit that up until now has flown relatively below the radar. At issue in the case are the subsidies that the federal government provides for individuals purchasing insurance through Obamacare. Though the text

On Wednesday, Obama administration officials announced a two week extension in the deadline to enroll in the Affordable Care Act or face a penalty defined as a tax. Asked about this “delay” in the implementation of the ACA on Wednesday, Sen. Harry Reid (D-NV) said that there has been no delay. He added that some of the users who experienced problems with the website early on need more time, partially because “people are not educated about how to use the internet.” “There’s no hiccup or delay,” Reid insisted. “We had hundreds of thousands of people who tried to sign up and

On Tuesday night two things happened. 1. A trio of Secret Service agents were sent home from Amsterdam after one was found passed out drunk in a hotel hallway. 2. The Obama Administration announced (another) extension of the enrollment deadline for Obamacare signups. At first glance, these two events have little in common with one another. But, modern politics is all about narratives and storylines. And, both of these events confirm a growing concern from the public about President Obama: That he´s just not up to governing his administration and, by extension, the country, effectively.

One by one, the myths of the Affordable Care Act have been revealed. When the curtain on open enrollment falls on March 31, the last remaining big myth of ObamaCare will be fully exposed: The individual mandate has failed. After a last-ditch effort with President Obama himself encouraging "young invincibles" to sign up before the deadline, the administration is scrambling to boost enrollment. On Tuesday, the White House announced that people who applied for coverage on the federal health-insurance exchange will have until mid-April to finish the paperwork. The mandate was supposed to be the administration´s magical elixir for the assorted shortcomings

More than six million Americans have now signed up for private insurance under the Affordable Care Act, according to the White House, with just four days to go until the end of its first open enrollment period. While traveling in Italy on Thursday, President Obama shared the news in a conference call with thousands of health-care navigators and volunteers helping enroll people on state and federal marketplaces. As the volume of consumers seeking health plans has surged -- there were over 1.5 million visits to HealthCare.gov Wednesday and more than 430,000 calls to the marketplaces´ call centers -- Obama urged those on
