In response to skepticism of President Obama’s statement that, “Up at Camp David, we do skeet shooting all the time,” the White House has released a photo of the president firing a shotgun. Former top Obama campaign aide David Plouffe linked to the photo in a tweet that read: “Attn skeet birthers. Make our day — let the photoshop conspiracies begin!” Headline corrected by Staff.
|
Comments: Oh sigh. skeet birthers?? Those morons in the White House act like immature teenagers. This is the entire article with the pathetic photo.

Shouldn´t the gun be aimed at a slightly higher angle?
That was a practice shot, obviously.
Too bad they didn´t grab a shot a split-second later of Obama knocked on his Mom Jeans-clad rear from the recoil.

He´s shoots more awkwardly than he throws a baseball.
There are some people on a range you fear just by their manner of handling their firearms, the sort of person you keep looking over at firing point because you fear they are going to shoot you or themselves by accident. This is a photo of what that person looks like.

Poor form, no shooting jacket or shell box. He looks uncomfortable and appears to be aiming nearly straight out which is pretty low for clay birds. Someone who knows a lot more about shotgun shooting than I do can probably point out a whole lot more. All that being said, no photoshop required, the thing speaks for itself. Reminds me of his baseball throwing skills and bike riding pictures.

I am a USMC Rifle Expert (12th award) and Obama s off hand position shows that he is a novice shooter. The gun butt is too high in his shoulder, his posture is wrong and he is over gripping. If this is the best photo they can find he must really be a bad shooter. He shoots like he throws balls. Sick to golf Barry,. Btw don´t buy wonderful brand pistachios after they paid psy to do their Super Bowl commercial. I guess they too want to see dead US soldiers.

When Neil Armstrong died last August, the White House published a photo of Obama standing after dark looking skyward at a crescent moon. It was captioned "Obama remembers Neil Armstrong by gazing at the moon." There was a silhouette of a helo rotor and a couple of bodyguards or whomever nearby. Lost is the fact that when Armstrong died, it was during a waxing gibbous moon. Anyone who isn´t skeptical of every last thing that this White House flushes or shovels in our direction is either living in a cave or is a Democrat.

What´s that smoke spurting out about 3/4 the way up the barrel? Is it being used to indicate wind speed and direction? This photo needs to be cleaned up a bit more. Also, modern powders leave very little smoke. Are we sure that this is not an air gun?

I know all of us here get this as just another case of 0bama´s fibs in a long line of lies and obstructions.
But, surrounded by liberals, I see this as another case of the 0bamiacs setting up yet another "controversy" that ended up making his opponents look small and snarky. This is the face a large segment of the population sees of 0bama´s opposition: petty and unserious.
Meanwhile, 0bama is systematically destroying our beloved country. Let´s start ignoring this small stuff and stay focused like a laser on two or three things that are vitally important.

That is an awfully big shotgun for such a little man. The vertical smoke is from small holes drilled into the top of the barrel or ´porting.´ It helps to soften the recoil and counter barrel rise. If you wonder how useful that is for this type of shooting, you would have to ask the owner, because I would bet EVERY dollar I have and every one I could borrow that that man did NOT purchase it for himself. He took a shot for the cameras and that is the last time he will fire that 12 gauge with low recoil shells. So arrogant, so full of himself, he can´t imagine how anyone would look at him and know instantly that he has yet to go thru a box of shells. Hint, Mr. President, shouldering a 12 gauge that way will give you a bruise, and you lean INTO it. BTW, if this guy is shooting a launched target, he is about as accurate or as late to the game as he is on anything.

One of the first political issues negotiators must tackle in crafting an immigration reform bill is among the most important: what to name it. It’s a decision that will bruise egos, create legacies and deeply affect subsequent messaging battles. “Every time the bill is mentioned in the press, you either have a brand that´s positive or a brand that doesn´t mean anything or even hurts you,” said Frank Sharry, the executive director of the pro-immigration reform group America’s Voice. The wrong name, he warned, could doom a good bill. “If there´s not a

President Obama is eager to build public support for his health care overhaul in the few months remaining before its implementation, but waning enthusiasm from Democrats threatens his effort right out of the gate. Two-thirds of Democrats now believe Obama´s health care reforms will either hurt them personally or have no effect on their daily lives, a Quinnipiac University poll released Thursday shows. In comparison, just 27 percent of Democratic respondents said the reforms would help them. The president has long struggled to convince independent and Republican-leaning voters that his health care blueprint would lower premiums and expand insurance coverage.

President Obama´s biggest gaffe yesterday when speaking of California Attorney General Kamala Harris was not in flirtatiously complimenting her as "the best-looking attorney general," but in introducing an observation from the system of beauty into a forum that was about the system of power. What´s that, you say? Irin Carmon does a great job in Salon in laying out the bounds of propriety for when it´s appropriate to talk about a woman´s looks as a general matter. Recent research indicates that the number of people who do not consider themselves a part of an organized religion is steadily on the rise. Interestingly enough, though the number of those religiously unaffiliated is increasing, there is little to no trend in the number of those who express atheist or agnostic beliefs. People aren’t saying they don’t believe in God. They’re saying they don’t believe in religion. They are not rejecting Christ. They are rejecting the church. This begs the question, “Why are we losing our religion?”

Los Angeles — Some people have had it with TV. They´ve had enough of the 100-plus channel universe. They don´t like timing their lives around network show schedules. They´re tired of $100-plus monthly bills. A growing number of them have stopped paying for cable and satellite TV service, and don´t even use an antenna to get free signals over the air. (Snip) Last month, the Nielsen Co. started labeling people in this group "Zero TV" households, because they fall outside the traditional definition of a TV home. There are 5 million of these residences in the U.S., up from

On Friday, Sean Hannity brought Pat Smith, mother of the late Sean Smith, on his radio program. The 34-year-old information management officer was one of four Americans murdered in the Benghazi embassy attack on September 11, 2012. In the chilling interview, a distraught Ms. Smith, in tears, pleaded for answers and spoke of the efforts to silence her. Ms. Smith first relayed how her son, prior to the attack, requested additional security in advance and warned the State Department: He did tell them, ahead of time, he typed it into his little typewriter over there,

Put out an all-points bulletin: Millions of Americans have gone missing from the workforce. Every month that those would-be workers are gone raises the odds that they might never come back, dimming the prospects for future economic growth. The vanishing trend is more than a decade old, but it accelerated during the Great Recession. Throughout 2012, economists held out hope that it had stopped. But then came Friday’s jobs report, and hopes were dashed. The Labor Department reported that the U.S. labor force — everyone who has a job or is looking for one — shrank

Neurosurgeon Ben Carson, considered by some to be a potential Republican contender for president, apologized to Johns Hopkins University for the "poorly chosen words" he used in expressing his opposition to gay marriage last month.“I am sorry for any embarrassment this has caused,” Carson said in the letter, reported in New York Magazine.(Snip) "Although I do believe marriage is between a man and a woman, there are much less offensive ways to make that point. I hope all will look at a lifetime of service over some poorly chosen words.” Carson will remain as commencement speaker at Johns Hopkins,

Susan Patton, the Princeton alumna who became famous for her letter urging Ivy League women to use their college years to find a mate, has been denounced as a traitor to feminism, to coeducation, to the university ideal. But really she’s something much more interesting: a traitor to her class. Her betrayal consists of being gauche enough to acknowledge publicly a truth that everyone who’s come up through Ivy League culture knows intuitively —

Gluten-free diets are all the rage, but they can be dangerous if not done right. What is gluten? It´s the spongy complex of proteins, found naturally in wheat, rye, and barley, that gives elasticity to dough and allows it to rise. When flour is moistened and either kneaded or mixed into dough, gluten molecules form an elastic, microscopic latticework that traps the carbon dioxide produced when yeast ferments, causing dough to inflate like a hot air balloon. Baking hardens the gluten, which helps the finished product keep its shape. Wheat — and gluten — is ubiquitous in the American diet.

Beyonce and Jay-Z celebrated their fifth wedding anniversary in Cuba this week. The couple, who married on April 4, 2008, took in the sights of Old Havana, visited a school, dined on a rooftop terrace and strolled the fan-filled streets in their island best.(snip).The power couple declined to answer journalists´ questions about their visit to the island nation, but some outlets are reporting that the moguls are there as tourists, though that would be illegal because of the half-century embargo the U.S. has on the Communist country. However, the Miami Herald said Washington has issued special licenses for
