Obama´s health care lies
Washington Times, by Bob Siegel

SAN DIEGO ? Say what you want about Nancy Pelosi, she got one thing right about Obama’s Affordable Care Act: We had to pass the law to find out what’s it in it. Now that some have actually bitten into this Tootsie Roll Pop, they are discovering that its crunchy outside was more palatable than the chewy center. Even labor unions, still euphoric from their love affair with Obama, are starting to see some very disturbing writing on the wall. According to the Wall Street Journal, “Labor unions enthusiastically backed the Obama administration´s

Obama´s health care and policies will beget less employees. I noticed it at Walmart. Now self check out, long lines for a human checkout. Higher pay, but less employees receiving it. Higher prices by 25% since Obama started. Oh, it will be grand for those employed, but most won´t have a job.

If a law is passed passed based on lies and bribes, is it really legal. The members of Congress who voted had no time to read the proposed law and no idea what was in it. There
have been numerous litigants basing their claim on what was IN the law, but what about the conditions under which it was passed. Each member of Congress takes an oath, and this law was passed with NO CONSIDERATION of their Constituentcy. Is this LEGAL? Just wondering.

My paycheck is smaller by about $60 a month due to recent increase in taxes.
I did my taxes and I received about $5,200 less while paying over $2,600 more in taxes in 2012. I am paying $1,200+ more in gas costs. There is no overtime anymore.

My co-workers are losing their jobs left and right (big company and they have been laying off thousands since the democrats and obama came along. I still have 2 liberals in my office that think everything is great. One was not even fazed by the $20,000 a year healthcare tax for a family of 4. He refuses to believe it despite the numbers from the IRS itself...!

As another co-worker remarked "they will stop thinking that when they lose their jobs"

The last line of the article is wrong. Not everyone will have the same lousy coverage, especially Zippy, Nancy, and Hairy or those he has exempted.

Our 2014 rallying cry should be:

WE ARE ONE! Congress must join us and eliminate all exemptions from 0bamacare. Lead us "little people" by example.

How dare they exempt themselves and leave us with this mess?

An article in the WSJ listed obama´s wish list even before he ran for office and so far the tax and spend fairy has been generous, not to mention Justice Roberts and the media. Even the Economist laid out his Agenda and no one. wanted to believe it. Now he s out to destroy the GOP so watch closely. We may have libs in power for years. Hill is a shoe in, welcome to socialist medicine and to those disbelievers, yes your insurance bill is going to be a big one so put that in your fairness file. And have fun finding a specialist when you need one.

There is an unnoticed aspect of Obamacare. Premiums paid for government insurance will be based on political considerations not real cost. It becomes an unregulated system of taxation which Congress need not vote on. This is the real evil. Leave it to liberals how to figure out how to deprive citizens of their liberty.

Look, EVERYONE knew they were lies from the start. The Democrats knew it. John Roberts knew it. All the MSM knew it. But not enough people did enough to stop it. And now, nobody cares enough to try to roll it back.

That´s how Democrats work. Get it in at all costs. Then count on wussy Republicans to stay too polite to fight to get rid of it. We are totally screwed.

Questions for the attorneys out there. If we are equal under the law, how can Obamacare be legal? It seems to me that all these exemptions that are being handed out could be challenged in court. Where in the Constitution does it give the government the authority to treat one group differently than the any other?
Isn´t this the very definition of discrimination?

Short answer to your question, #2, NO. The law was forced through by an illegal president, by using coercion, bribery, illegal exemptions of favored groups, by a congress that did not properly consider it, by forcing the purchase of something and by illegally calling that forced purchase a tax. Laws, by definition, must be applied to all. The exemption of congress and various thug unions is highly illegal. The states finally see what damage this law will cause and are backing out of its application. When people start dying from this sham legislation, the real resistance will begin. It´s not about healthcare at all, it´s about control of the people and vote buying from the underclass, all illegal under our Constitution.

I think he truly believed what he was saying - nothing Machiavellian there - but didn´t have the background to ask the right questions to truly understand what was being proposed. Why is the media so late to the game? Rush Limbaugh said that single-payer was the end game even before Obama was elected. Obama himself said that ultimately, single-payer was what he had in mind.

Don´t people take his word by now? He said he´d "fundamentally remake America" and he has. He said he´d put the coal companies out of business and he has. He said he wanted a "civilian police force" and although he hasn´t gotten that through yet, he is on his way to doing so.

As for Limbaugh always being right, by now people should realize that he is prescient and knows what he is talking about. The only thing he was wrong about, predicting how liberals will act at any given moment, was when he (and many of us) thought we´d win this election in a landslide.

Reading a Drudge story about the UK´s health care system this morning gave me chills: The gov´t is going to require a database of every patient´s BMI, prescriptions, cholesterol levels, drinking habits, waist measurements and other very personal medical information - REQUIRED BY LAW. It will destroy doctor-patient privilege and give the gov´t.

If you think that doesn´t appeal to Obama and his charming wife, think again. In fact, it wouldn´t surprise me to find it buried somewhere in ObamaCare. Ask Nancy. She´ll know.

This is the bait and switch. Obama and dems never wanted this to work in the first place. They will, according to them, HAVE to take over healthcare! Voila!! Single payer socialized medicine. This has been their plan all along.

You can´t keep your doctor and insurance if they both disappear. What will happen is you will have to pay for your government insurance and you can´t use it to see a good doctor. The good ones will go to an all cash business and the government doctors will be alumni of Third World U. When the Constitution was written, providing health care, education, retirement programs were not a function of government. Now its considered a right.

"If a law is passed passed based on lies and bribes, is it really legal."

Answer: Yes

The Supreme Court ruled it legal and specifically threw it back to the people to decide the issue at the polls. The people re-elected Obama. If you stayed home because Romney wasn´t Christian enough or conservative enough. .... Congratulations .... ObamaCare is the law of the land!

Unless and until "We The People" stand up and not only DEMAND action, but vote accordingly, we can kiss the constitution, the economy and the republic goodbye. The politicians could care less about polls. They are only interested in your vote, and they can count on the majority being mouth breathing, window licking idiots.

Realistically, they are going to have to move to single payer (as I assume they always knew, Hillary certainly did) so that it isn´t based on employment and have a second tier plans available at high-end employers or privately.

Reply 49 - Posted by: Blackeagle, 2/2/2013 5:44:22 PM     (No. 9154824)

If their hidden goal is single payer (it is certainly not the goal of the Insurance Company lobbyists who helped write this bill) payment would have to be at the Medicaid level. Many MDs and hospitals cannot survive on 100% Medicaid.

We would have to retool our medical system to a primitive Cuba-style system where MDs only have a few years of training. Or worse the UK´s NHS.

There is no conspiracy. The imagined cabal of political journalists and editors colluding in their respective conference rooms to bury news items which are potentially damaging to President Barack Obama or his liberal allies is just that – imagined. There is, however, like-think in the political press that results in an institutional culture which views with suspicion any story that conservative media outlets deem worthy of added scrutiny. Some of the media’s most influential members are beginning to realize that their own biases have shielded the administration from criticism. This was not intentional, but it

A Saudi man was arrested at Detroit Metropolitan Airport after federal agents said he lied about why he was traveling with a pressure cooker, but his nephew said Monday that it was all a misunderstanding about a device he simply wanted for cooking. Two pressure cookers were used in last month´s Boston Marathon bombings. Hussain Al Khawahir was being held in Detroit on allegations of lying to Customs and Border Protection agents and of using a passport with a missing page. He was arrested Saturday. His nephew, Nasser Almarzooq, told The Associated Press that he

Senator John McCain, who famously defended his then presidential opponent Barack Obama against an islamaphobic supporter during a 2008 campaign rally, defended President Obama once again on ABC’s This Week Sunday, cautioning his Republicans colleagues to cool it with talk of impeaching the President over the Benghazi attacks and its aftermath. In response to Senator James Inhofe (R-OK) invoking the “I word,” McCain called for caution: “With all due respect, I think this is a serious issue,” McCain told guest host Martha Raddatz. “I will even give the president the benefit of the doubt

At various points over the past two years, Internal Revenue Service officials singled out for scrutiny not only groups with “tea party” or “patriot” in their name but also nonprofit groups that criticized the government and sought to educate Americans about the U.S. Constitution, according to documents in an audit conducted by the agency’s inspector general. The documents, obtained by The Washington Post from a congressional aide with knowledge of the findings, show that the IRS field office in charge of evaluating applications for tax-exempt status decided to focus on groups making statements that “criticize

Call it “Oval Office Couch Syndrome.” By the second term “inside the bubble,” presidents have completely lost touch with reality: Aides and confidants conspire to keep the chief executive insulated from the real world — the bad news, the worse press coverage. They think it’s their job, and lounging on the Oval Office couches, they nod along with the president’s every musing. But this presidency has taken OOCS to new heights — Mr. Obama has only a few trusted aides, and occasional leaks from the West Wing show a paranoid president suspicious of nearly everyone around him.

Black students are suspended more than three times as often as their white classmates, twice as often as their Latino classmates and more than 10 times as often as their Asian classmates in middle and high schools nationwide, a new study shows. The average American secondary student has an 11% chance of being suspended in a single school year, according to the study from the University of California Los Angeles Civil Rights project. However, if that student is black, the odds of suspension jump to 24%.

"Everybody knows that she´s one of the most experienced candidates we´ve ever had running for president. She practically doesn´t have to say it." So said Time magazine´s Joe Klein about Hillary Clinton on Sunday´s syndicated Chris Matthews Show (video follows with transcript and commentary): JOE KLEIN: But also, they made a decision at that point that a lot of the people in Hillaryland really regret. They went with experience rather than the notion of change. “Hey, he isn´t the only change candidate - I´m a woman.” And she never did that. This time, everybody knows that she´s

Janet Napolitano, Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security, is on the list of potential Democratic presidential candidates compiled by the extraordinarily astute Prez16.com . As a cabinet secretary (and as a potential, if dark horse, presidential nominee) Madame Secretary should refrain from slurring the Drudge Report, as recently she did, a slur Drudge, confidently, featured. Drudge is no fan of Napolitano. He regularly tweaks her as “Big Sis” (presumably an allusion to George Orwell’s “Big Brother”). Drudge is one of the most powerful — and widely respected — forces in the news business today.

Soledad O´Brien, recently yanked from her morning show "Starting Point" on CNN, plans to continue her focus on racial issues and is charging that whites are afraid of dealing with the nation´s black-white division. O´Brien, just named a distinguished visiting fellow at Harvard´s Graduate School of Education, told the school´s Institute of Politics that she´s often confronted by whites who want to take issue with her documentaries on race in America. "People would sometimes, when I give speeches, stand up and say, ´You know I think your black America documentaries (are) divisive.

It would be too easy to make fun of the good Christian voters of South Carolina’s 1st Congressional District who saw fit to return their disgraced former Gov. Mark Sanford to the office he once held. I won’t do it. Well, maybe just a little. Sanford, whose political rise was fueled by his conservative principles and focus on family values, did not stay true to his wife. But in the end, the voters in South Carolina’s 1st stayed true to him.(Snip)“Obviously, there´s a vulnerability to me now that people respond to," Sanford told

This love is terrifying. Thousands of American teen girls are crushing on Boston Marathon bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, 19 — and leading a social-media movement to exonerate him. The swooning teens will not accept allegations that the college kid — whom they refer to by his nickname, “Jahar” — and his brother, Tamerlan, 26, killed three and maimed hundreds by setting off bombs at the April 15 race. While some scrawl the hashtag “#FreeJahar” on their hands with markers, an 18-year-old in Topeka, Kan., is going to the extreme — she wants Dzhokhar’s words inked on her arm forever.

The GOP majority in the House is reaching for new heights of political absurdity this week with its 37th vote to kill all or part of the Affordable Care Act. Let us briefly turn to political reality. There is absolutely zero chance that ObamaCare will be repealed while Democrats control the Senate and President Obama is in the White House. Reality also compels some mention of the fact that the GOP has never held a vote on any alternative plan for dealing with the nation’s out-of-control healthcare spending. But reality is a nuisance to Congressional Republicans

The White House has touted the Accountability Review Board (ARB) investigation of the Benghazi massacre as a review “led by two men of unimpeachable expertise and credibility that oversaw a process that was rigorous and unsparing.” In fact, the report was purposefully incomplete and willfully misleading. The two men in charge of the ARB, Ambassador Thomas Pickering and Admiral Thomas Mullen, a diplomat and military man respectively, have no meaningful investigative experience. Instead of letting the facts lead the direction of the investigation, the report appears designed to protect the interests of Hillary Clinton, the State Department higher ups,

Sen. Dianne Feinstein says the talking points used on the Sunday news shows following the attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Libya, were wrong, adding that the administration should have been quicker in calling it a terrorist act. “I think the talking points were wrong,” the California Democrat who chairs the Senate Intelligence Committee, said Sunday on NBC´s “Meet the Press.” “I think the talking points should not be written by the intelligence community.” “Unfortunately," she added, "the word extremist was used which isn’t not as crystal clear as terrorist.”
