The January jobs report is supposed to be good news. After all, the economy has now added a total of 6.1 million jobs over the past three years, and the BLS revised last year´s jobs numbers sharply upward. Same with lots of other businesses.
Of course profits will be up as a result.
And the stock market? You almost HAVE to invest in it since a money market or bond will harldy pay 1% return.
Therefore, more money chasing same number of stock shares, which is driving prices upward.

Obama claims he´s created over 5 million jobs but he leaves out one little sticky detail.8 million have left the workforce entirely.
I doubt the jobs he claims are actually "new" jobs.If somebody quits and gets replaced he probably claims credit for the replacement worker.
Yesterday,these people had the gall to revise the last two years new jobs figures upward.Of course the media slipped and fell on their own drool reporting it.

3,000 people have joined Facebook group "Maggie´s Good Riddance Party", which claims it will hold a "right jolly knees up" outside St Paul´s on the day of Baroness Thatcher´s funeral. The protesters wish to "get their money´s worth" from the funeral, which will be paid for in part by the state. Those attending include a civil servant at the Department of Work and Pensions, a carer and a branch leader of the National Union of Students. Some warned of "civil unrest". Now, I will be honest with you about what I wrote back, before knowing anything. I mean, I´m aware of the latest, the proposed filibuster and all the debate arguments pro and con. Only one of my six children has left New York for economic reasons but the strain of living in this expensive nanny state is weighing heavy on my other five and their families. As a native New Yorker, I´ve seen its middle class population decline over the years due to its neglect of blue collar families which is ironic since this is a Democrat city. With the recent arrests of several local politicians for corruption perhaps New Yorkers will pay more attention to those they put in office. Given their past indifference in local elections this is highly unlikely.
