| According to a Marine Corps survey of 53,000 Marines, 17 percent of male Marine respondents said they would likely leave the Corps if women move into combat positions. The results of the poll were released to The Associated Press this morning. According to the Associated Press, male Marines listed fears of being falsely accused of sexual harassment, fraternization, other Marines getting preferential treatment, and having to deal with pregnancy or personal issues that could affect the unit before they are sent to the battlefield. I think a few more women than we think may want those combat positions. Perhaps that 31% stat is baloney but I think the liberal brainwashing of women is pretty far down the road. I say good for the men! Quit rather than be subjected to the stuff #2 mentions...

Pelosi will demand day care at the front line. Feinstein will want more feeling and accommodation for the special needs of women. Doesn´t society have to always attend to those special needs? Men on the other hand -- no one cares about them.

Holding down what is administratively defined as a combat billet is completely different from actually engaging in sustained ground combat with a determined enemy, a la Iwo Jima, Pork Chop Hill, Hamburger Hill, or al Fallujah.
Remember Obama intends to stop the current war in Afghanistan on a day certain next year, and after that, if the liberals have their way, it will not be long before the USA will no longer have the military expeditionary capabilities to again fight on the ground in large scale foreign wars. Hagel will be expected to be Obama´s yes man on that front in the Pentagon.
So what the liberals are actually doing is giving women who say they wish to serve in a combat billet a way to punch their ticket to go on to the higher ranks of the US military.
In a few years, if the liberals remain in power, we will probably see women commanding the 1st Marine division and the 82nd Airborne division. Don´t worry, be happy, it´s just part of the liberals transforming America, and showing that elections do have consequences!

A Michigan high school canceled a speech by former Sen. Rick Santorum after teachers became outraged over his opposition to gay marriage and threatened to stage protests and a possible work stoppage. During Barack Obama´s presidency there have been 32 background checks for gun purchases every minute. Since February of 2009, the first full month of Obama´s presidency, there have been 70,291,049 background checks for gun purchases, according to data released by the FBI. Using February 1, 2009 as our starting date, and March 31, 2013 as our end date, (the latest data from the FBI) Obama has been president for 1,520 days. That equates to 36,480 hours, or 2,188,800 minutes. Divide the 70,291,049 background checks by 2,188,800 minutes and you get approximately 32 checks for gun purchases every minute!

As he rolls out his fiscal 2014 budget on Wednesday, a new survey finds that Americans haven’t felt this confident about President Obama’s handling of the economy since his first year in office. The Gallup poll, which sampled more than 1,000 Americans, found that 57 percent say they have a “great deal or a fair amount of confidence” in Mr. Obama to do the right thing on the economy. That’s up from just 50 percent last year and hasn’t been this high since it hit 71 percent in 2008. Trust in congressional Republicans, on the other hand, remains low.

An assistant professor of art and graphic design at Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, Texas is under investigation for allegedly forcing graphic design students to create anti-gun artwork for her own personal crusade against firearms. Campus Reform broke the story and confirmed that officials at the public, taxpayer-supported school launched an investigation after receiving a student’s official complaint last week. According to the complaint, the professor, Jennifer Yucus, required students to produce posters in opposition to certain gun-friendly legislation currently making its way through the Texas state legislature.
