Katie Couric: Larry King
‘lunged’ at me during our
bad date

New York Post, by Emily Smith

Original Article

To the shock of America, Katie Couric admitted she shared an intimate evening with Larry King. Yes, the bespectacled, suspender wearing, grandfatherly TV-news journalist who is 23 years Couric’s senior. On last night’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” Couric recounted in striking detail about the Italian dinner date she went on with King 26 years ago in Washington, DC. After dinner, King drove them back to his apartment where he tried to put the moves on her. “So we sat there and what can I say, he lunged,” Couric said (to the delight/horror of everyone watching probably.)

Given that Katie got her job on her back and promoted throught the ranks by providing sexual favors to married men (even causing a divorce), undoubtedly Katie only said "no" because he couldn´t immediately help her career.

She was old enough to know better than to go to his apartment after dinner especially after they had both been drinking. She really must be hard up for publicity to go on national TV and tell that story 26 years later. Her daughters must be so proud!

The fact that Larry King tried to hit on her proves that he has no taste in women.

Al Gore´s youngest daughter has gotten remarried under a historic tree in Santa Monica. Sarah Gore has a very casual outdoor service on Sunday morning outside a coffee shop with her famous father walking across a patch of grass that served as the makeshift aisle. Wearing a loose, off-white lace dress with bell sleeves, Sarah made her way towards her groom, realtor Patrick Maiani, who was waiting for her beside the outline of a heart in the shape of rose petals. The brief service was officiated by a female religious leader and attended by about a dozen invited guests. As a young reporter, I once expressed shock at how routinely and reflexively government officials lied to the press. A savvy newspaper vet who overheard me just smiled and told me not to take it personally. “Why shouldn’t they lie to you?” the late, great Murray Kempton asked. “They lie to themselves all the time.” His observation came back to me as I read about President Obama’s trip to Asia. He’s going, the White House says, to tell our allies face to face that America is committed more than ever to their security and prosperity. In ordinary times, the trip and

IRS employees who had been disciplined for tax and conduct issues were nonetheless rewarded with monetary awards or time off, according to a watchdog report released Tuesday. The report by the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration found that while for the most part the reward program for IRS workers complied with federal regulations, employees who had themselves failed to pay their federal taxes and had discipline problems were also rewarded. "While not prohibited, providing awards to employees who have been disciplined for failing to pay federal taxes appears to create a conflict with the IRS’s charge of ensuring the

How often have you heard a Democrat prattle on and on about how well Barack Obama has done with the economy, given the mess he inherited? There’s a pattern of falsifying statistics throughout the entire Census Bureau. As I’ve been writing for more than six months, the Census Bureau office in Philadelphia uncovered a case of fraud in 2010, did nothing about it and allowed the practice to continue. In that instance, a data collector named Julius Buckmon was faking reports that went into the nation’s all-important jobless tally and consumer-inflation survey.
