Melanie is back at KSFO in Lee´s morning slot with Brian Sussman. Lee did the best radio interviews bar none. What a tragic loss. I wish Susan all the help she needs to live with her loss.

Fantastic radio personality. Yes a solid Conservative voice but also one with a great sense of humor. He made the mundane entertaining. I was HUGELY disappointed when KSFO let him go a couple of years back, after listening to him daily for 6 years in SF, and 10 years over the internet from multiple locations around the world. The man has been missed by many for a while now. RIP.

Oh No! I´ve been working late and have not checked my radiorodgers.com site. I´m so disappointed and upset. He was one of my favorite bloggers. He had such a way of nailing the issues, and he would e-mail you back when you sent messages.

Lee Rodgers was my morning coffee for many years. He could always wake me up both with his commentary or his dry wit.

Condolences to Lee´s and the KSFO family. He had the greatest radio voice and the rapport among Melanie, Officer Vic and Lee made my mornings. When I moved to CA from Atlanta in 1999 and had to leave Neal Boortz behind, I didn´t think I´d find anyone to replace him then discovered KSFO. Back to Atlanta 5 years ago, Neal was still here but I´ve lost him again, this time to retirement.
Glad Melanie is back with Brian. Used to enjoy him in the evenings.

Lee, you will be greatly missed. We needed your voice, your integrity, your wit. May your memory be eternal.

A lot of people don´t know that it was Lee Rodgers who got Mark Levin hooked on talk radio. Mark was a regular caller in to the Lee Rodgers show and moved on to become Rush´s legal analyst, F. Lee Levin.

for many of the 30+ years we lived in the Bay Area, Lee was one of the few people who helped me maintain my sanity and kept me out of jail. If it were not for him, I would have likely throttled and strangled most of the liberals who surrounded me. His morning program was my little oasis of conservative thought.

Oh my goodness...so sad to read this about Mr. Lee Rogers...I cut my conservative teeth on his broadcasts for years while living in CA. What a jewel he was ... he´s probably kicking up lots of commotion in his new realm - and loving every bit of it. A genuinely bright, caring and wonderful guy, RIP, Sir.

So sad to hear this. I have been a loyal reader of his blog for several years. It eases the sadness to imagine him up there discussing the issues with the likes of Barry Goldwater, RR, Tony Snow and Andrew Breitbart. He´s in great company.

It was tough being one of the few conservatives in the Bay Area for the 20 years I lived there until realizing the best thing for my sanity was to just get the hell out before they taxed and regulated me into a little nub.
Lee, Melanie and Officer Vic were great therapy, letting us know we weren´t alone and completely voiceless.
RIP, Lee.

Our hearts go out to Lee´s family and to Melanie who loved him so. He was so kind and helpful to us here when we first started and throughout our years. We did his radio show many times and thrilled to his smart clever take on life. We shan´t see his like again.

OMG! I am floored! I can´t believe he is gone. Now I am crying. I loved Lee Rodgers and his show. Lee and Melanie kept me ready to go every morning for several years. In fact, Melanie first talked about Lucianne.com on their morning show and that is how I came here some 13 years ago. I am glad to hear that Melanie is back with Brian in the morning.

God bless the Rodgers family. My thoughts and prayers are with them. Rest in peace, Uncle Lee. We will miss you something terrible.

A great voice in the Bay Area socialist cess pool!

I started listening to the Lee Rodgers-Melanie Morgan show back in, approximately, 1995. My radio alarm was set for 50 AM and listening to the show got me in a frame of mind that permitted me to leave for work in a edified condition. Melanie mentioned her teaming up with Lee at KGO; Lee, on the other hand, would have referred to it as that “call-letter-deficient” station, a phrase that still makes me chuckle. Another source of humor arose from Lee’s laborious search of world newspapers until he would come up with a story of some truly weird happening in another country. Lee, his co-hosts (including Officer Vic) and the stellar cast of guests he interviewed really enriched my life. He is irreplaceable.

Wow, this one hurt.
Lee was my AM drive-to-work radio companion for many years before I left Cali for the equally nutty Seattle area. Working in SF with Melanie and ´OV´, Lee was a force of nature. He took no prisoners, especially RINO´s like Colin Powell. He seemed to relish working and living in "the Special City" or the "world´s largest outdoor insane asylum" as he called it.
I had occasional email correspondence with him over the years. Great sense of humor and a political visionary to boot.

I, too, lived in the Bay Area and Lee Rodgers, et.al., got me going in the morning and put me in a good frame of mind to face my middle schoolers! I loved that program and couldn´t start the day without them. Went through Melanie´s and Officer Vic´s antics and discussions. Glad Brian Sussman is still there. Many times, I wrote to Lee especially his blogs here on lucianne.com. He always responded with politeness and humbleness. I am so sorry he has left us, but he left his footprint with conservative radio talk shows!

Sorry to post twice on the same thread, but it was Lee and Melanie´s constant referencing of this site, and their interviews with our beloved Ms. Lucianne that got me to join this site in about 2000, and I´ve never left.
