IRS: Cheapest Obamacare Plan
Will Be $20,000 Per Family

Cybercast News Service, by Matt Cover

Original Article

Posted By:KarenJ1, 1/31/2013 7:06:54 PM

In a final regulation issued Wednesday, the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) assumed that under Obamacare the cheapest health insurance plan available in 2016 for a family will cost $20,000 for the year. Under Obamacare, Americans will be required to buy health insurance or pay a penalty to the IRS. The IRS´s assumption that the cheapest plan for family will cost $20,000 per year is found in examples the IRS gives to help people understand how to calculate the penalty they will need to pay the government if they do not buy a mandated health plan.

So when will the 0bamabots start their revolt? They´re all so stupid they have no idea what they voted into office. Someone wake me up from this nightmare.

This is insanity. I went 3 years without health insurance and the wife and I (late 50´s - 60) combined spent less than $2500, doc visits, prescriptions, etc., instead of being out $18,000 just for the premiums. I wonder what I get for my $500/mo as it is...without even setting foot inside a doctor´s office. Now we will pay triple that? And go into a healthcare system with fewer docs in 2016? What a country.

Obamacare will bankrupt the country which, besides control over citizens, might be a hidden motivation for it by zippy and the liberal democrats. obamacare was slammed down the throats of Americans by a criminal traitorous regime. The USA may skip the decline and go straight to a free fall.

Government estimates tend to be crap. But family medical plans are very expensive.

People will pay the $600 fine yearly for not being insured. And unless you must file FIT can the IRS know you aren´t insured?

How will they collect from people who are nearly broke?

Unless you have considerable assets why buy the insurance? You are guaranteed coverage if you develop the need. And you are guaranteed emergency care at medical facilities for sudden medical problems.

And if you are unemployed and very poor the government is going to pay your premiums.

The more I hear the crazier it seems. It doesn´t seem much better for those who aren´t insured already and hurts those who are.

Guess I will have to read it to find out.

I too have been uninsured for over 2 years. I see only the best BP doctor (cardiac surgeon) in Las Vegas, who is cash-only BY HIS CHOICE. I pay him $50 per office visit every 3 months, and log my BP on his website. He checks it during each OV and refills the scrip for me. Wal-Mart fills 3 months´ worth for $10.

That´s it. That´s all I´ve spent in the 2 years I´ve needed it. And you know what? It has tended to make me more careful when driving (more careful all the time!), and get myself healthier, because I know any medical care I might need comes outta my pocket. I´ve lost 30 pounds for that reason - it hasn´t quite lowered the BP but I feel a whole lot better at age 60 than I did at age 55.

But now I´m forced to buy this crap ´´healthcare´´, which it most certainly is not, whether I want it or not, and whether I´ll like it or not.

I´m keeping my cash-only BP doc, and staying as healthy as I can get. But it´ll now cost me not just the $240 a year, but $1600 or more. Greeaaaaaaat.......

Might as well go back to eating crap, and dying while I´m still young and gorgeous.

The icing on the cake is that ´´Cadillac´´ health insurance plans will be taxed too. You will not only pay a fortune for the insurance, but the value of the plan could be considered taxable income to boot!

Don’t forget, this estimate is for 2016. This is only 2013. In Three years, at the present rate of unemployment progression, the average family income will be about $20,000. Not much left over for gasoline, groceries, and private school for the kiddies. But great health care is certainly worth the price!

#13 and others who wonder how the IRS will collect fines from those who are nearly broke--the same way they do now. Understand that under the law:

1. The IRS can clean out your bank account(s) without notice, no matter how little you have.

2. The IRS can place a lien on your paychecks without notice. It takes seconds to process the notice to your employer, at least six weeks to get it removed.

3. The IRS can put liens on your house or car or other valuable assets. If the amount is considerable, I suspect they may have the power to seize and sell those assets.

If you have ever had insufficient tax taken from your paycheck and paid with a check, your bank account info will be on file. (I always send a money order.) A notice will be sent to your bank putting liens on any acount you have with that institution.

This all happened to me about 30 years ago. Data--and debt--collection has greatly improved since then. Think ahead. You might request that your paycheck be sent to your home so that you can avoid losing an automatic deposit. Sometimes it takes around a week or so to get a cancellation into the system.

Are you now beginning to understand why the IRS is involved in Ocare? No other federal agency, as far as I know, has the power of the IRS to suddenly and without notice take your money and property.

It´s probably illegal for me to suggest ways to safeguard yourself so think very carefully about how to manage this situation. Surely there´s a how-to online by now.

ditto military retirement, ditto his pension (which was taken over by the gov´t when the company went under)..it took 3 months for me to see a payment again.
The fact is, when we arrange for direct deposits, we give permission for the gov´t to go into our account and take money back.

Second post. In #13 I was wondering more about how to collect from those who have virtually no assets.

And America is creating and importing them by the millions. But I didn´t phrase it that way.

I can only suppose that if you take any of a hundred entitlements such as food stamps, or even draw unemployment, you will have to prove you and your dependents are insured.

Or will you automatically be given free insurance when you apply for an entitlement?

The complexities seem likely to build bureaucracy to a level never seen before.

So the reality of this is that no sane person is going to buy a health plan for $20K when they can just use BOCare for coverage and pay a small fraction of that $20K cost in a "penalty" tax. Say a person makes $100k (and probably has health coverage from his employer but ignore that for now) the 2.5% cap of income would limit his payment to $2500, less than half the cost of him buying a policy.

That means that no one will buy policies and everyone will be on BOCare that they will only pay far, far less than half of. Guess who foots the remainder of the bill? The taxpayer in general but there is no plan or budget for this massive expense.

In a few years this mess is all going to collapse in a disastrous heap.

CHICAGO — Moody’s Investors Service has downgraded Chicago’s credit rating, citing the city’s unfunded pension liabilities. The agency announced Tuesday it’s lowering the rating on $8.3 billion in debt from A3 to Baa1, putting it only three notches above junk-bond status. Moody’s gave Chicago a negative outlook indicating another downgrade could occur if there’s no pension fix. Moody’s says the rating “reflects the city’s massive and growing unfunded pension liabilities.” Moody’s says those liabilities “threaten the city’s fiscal solvency” unless major revenue and other budgetary adjustments are adopted soon and are sustained for years to come. But Apple chief executive Tim Cook has shocked some in the US with an impassioned attack on the single-minded pursuit of profit – and a direct appeal to climate-change deniers not to buy shares in his firm. Eyewitnesses said Cook, who succeeded Steve Jobs as boss of the technology giant in 2011, was visibly angry as he took on a group of right-wing investors during a question-and-answer session at a shareholders’ meeting.

The crisis in Ukraine has brought out a fresh round of critics of President Obama´s foreign policy who see a pattern emerging: the president tries to assert his authority and direct events on the world stage with empty threats, which inevitably have no follow through. With each instance, U.S. power grows weaker as foreign powers view Mr. Obama as the president who cried wolf. The latest case: Mr. Obama´s public warning to Russia to stay out of Ukraine was followed by an invasion just days later. It´s just the latest failure, say critics who point to Syria as an example.

MSNBC host Rachel Maddow asserted Monday that George W. Bush, who exited office in 2009, is ultimately at fault for the current Ukrainian crisis. Ms. Maddow told colleague Andrea Mitchell that Mr. Bush’s entire Middle East policy has led to several overseas conflicts, from the Iraq War to the ongoing Russia-Ukraine dispute. “The decisions of our generation on national security are determined more than anything by what the George W. Bush administration did with that nine-year war in Iraq and, alongside it, a 13-year war in Afghanistan that’s still going on,” Ms. Maddow said during a discussion about her new

Will somebody please push the reset button on the winter of 2014? Yet another big storm is barreling down on the Mid-Atlantic states, bringing snow, sleet and disruption to winter-weary Washington, D.C., Baltimore and Philadelphia, not to mention frigid temperatures to the Midwest and Great Plains. The federal government has already decided to close offices Monday in Washington, which expects rain, ice and 8-12 inches of snow. Congress postponed Monday business until Tuesday. Public school systems from Dallas to Philadelphia canceled Monday classes. Washington city offices and Delaware state government offices will be closed Monday.

Bad Business: Apple CEO Tim Cook has told global warming skeptics to "get out of this stock." But in essence, he did more than that. He told every Apple shareholder to take a hike and waved potential investors away. When Cook met with shareholders Friday, he lost his usual business cool when a group proposed that the company be more open about its environmental activism as well as transparent about costs it incurs as it increases its dependence on renewable energy. "If you want me to do things only for ROI (return on in vestment) reasons, you should get out of this

Lois Lerner fears for her life if she testifies openly before the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Wednesday, according to her attorney. House oversight committee chairman Rep. Darrell Issa announced Sunday that Lerner will testify at Wednesday’s hearing, but Lerner’s attorney Bill Taylor said that Lerner will seek to continue invoking her Fifth Amendment rights and will also seek a one-week delay of her testimony. Oversight members are reportedly open to granting Lerner a one-week delay if she petitions for one in person at Wednesday’s hearing. The delay would allow Lerner’s lawyers to

WASHINGTON—Police arrested hundreds of people who strapped themselves to the White House fence on Sunday to protest the proposed Keystone XL oil pipeline. The protesters were mostly college students who participated in a peaceful march that began at Georgetown University and ended outside the White House. They chanted "climate justice now" and carried signs with slogans such as "don´t tarnish the earth" in an effort to persuade President Barack Obama to reject the pipeline. They say it will worsen global warming. Protesters were passionate but quite orderly. Police were waiting for them with buses and vans to speed the process.

Troops based at the Kadena Air Base in Japan know how to party.
