| It looks like the GOP leadership is staking its future on immigration reform. They’ve run the numbers and are convinced that America is trending towards a Democratic majority thanks to the Hispanic Diaspora. Ergo, they hope that by embracing “earned legal status” then they might soften their conservative image and steal enough votes from the Democrats to win the next election. But the Republican establishment has just one small problem: the Republican Party. Worried that congressional Republicans might muddy the GOP’s message with, well, racism, a lobby chaired by Jeb Bush has issued a guide to how to talk about

What part about ILLEGAL don´t these perfumed princess understand. don´t care if you sneaked over the boarder yesterday or 20 years ago and have family, your still ILLEGAL and breaking the law. why is only in America we are suppose to bend over back wards for ILLEGALS and every other nation has strict laws which they do enforce, and very well I might add. so sick and tired of congress, the supreme court and the president not obeying the constitution.

I think the GOP should get up in front of a crowd of folks in a foreign country trying desperately to come here legally and use the opportunity to put forward legislation to double legal immigration overnight. Then, the next day, same GOP member get in front of a bunch of screwed working class Americans and demand that this Adminstration start enforcing labor laws, immigration laws, and stop creating the black market labor force from Mexico which is destroying our American workers and sending them to Dear Leader´s food stamp rolls. There has been no real increase in wages in this country for the American worker in 30 years. These people vote, and many are socially conservative. They voted for Reagan in droves. Rubio and company will have a much better chance winning them over than illegal guests who have habitually broken US laws. And, no, we don´t need to round up illegals. We need to stop giving them government goodies and we need to start enforcing tax and labor laws EVEN against them. They will self deport if you cut off the gravy train. Mexico needs these folks more than we do. We need legal immigrants.

What looks like may happen if the Democrat lite Republican establishment does not come back to its senses, is that there will be an a very liberal amnesty for just about all the illegal aliens now in the USA, that will for the first time give them a special path to citizenship, after which the liberal Democrats and their political allies the many very liberal ethnic and immigrant rights groups will push for a streamlined process by which the legalized aliens will be given US citizenship and US voting rights.
Most legalized aliens will be poor, generally uneducated, low wage earners, with large families, who will need to access all the US social welfare and "free" health care programs to survive in high cost of living America. Since the liberal Democrats want to expand those social welfare programs and give the legalized aliens full access, while the Republicans want to seriously contract those programs and limit access, it is easy to see who the legalized aliens will be voting for in massive numbers.
The margin of Republican votes coming from Hispanics will probably increase from about 28% to about 33%, and the Democrats will pick up about ten million new voters to flip States like Arizona, Florida and Texas into the Democrat column sort of like California is today, after which the Republican (Stupid) Party will be consigned to the dust bins of history totally unable to ever again win national elections or control either house of Congress.

If America can´t fathom the difference between LEGAL immigration , which we need , and ILLEGAL immigration, which must end, we are so screwed.
Why is it that educated people w investment capital are kept OUT , while the undefended southern border allows millions of illegals to come in ? Amnesties have only resulted in millions MORE illegals coming here. We Can´t even employ our own citizens so get rig ofn LLEGALS a nd hire legal folks. I had to prove citizenship to get a badly paid part time job soni can earn grocery $$$ and yet we can´t ask for same ID for Voters? God save America ... It may already be too late. Ø And his one-worlders what countries without Borders where passports are meaningless. It is coming Faster than we think.

#5, good one! Ha ha!
Yep, Bushes are Limousine Liberals pretending they should lead the GOP, apparently into perpetuity.
Actually, they will lead it into Hell.
So sorry Ronald Reagan ever took GHW Bush as his veep. Now we cannot get rid of them. They coattail on Reagan whilst stabbing him in the back, policy-wise. Snooty Ivy Leaguers, East Coast Elitists.
The Jebster is bloated, sloppy, got a Mexican wife, a drug felon daughter, favors amnesty for the ILLEGALS who broke our laws to get here... need we say more?
Amnesty... Rubio... Jebster... All three... DOA. Got it?
Build a wall, use an electric fence, strafe the area, use our troops for true national defense (rather than everywhere else in the world) by protecting our own GAWD dang borders.
This is simple. Our "leaders" are liars and traitors. Screw ´em... !!!

Sadly, so many of the lost will still follow, blindly not knowing what to do or where to go; still sticking with the brand that they know although it represents none of their values, and hasn´t, really, for some time.

i usually agree with Stanley but not this time - people don´t actually pick parties based on feeling insulted, or not. The GOP has a history of being anti-Catholic yet the churchgoers are all flocking into it, because who cares what they think about me - they are pro-life. This isn´t picking a brand of butter. It would be actually "enough" to hear that the bigshots are telling the littleshots to shaddup with the bigoted remarks. That is a lot, actually, and if it is lively language and gets picked up and widely seen, that is not embarrassing - it is effective. There´s a reason Jeb Bush wins elections.

And I care about Jeb and his Mexican wife. Not. If the Bush family loves Mexico so much, why not move there ?

A senior Eurocrat sparked outrage last night after calling for the phrase “illegal immigrant” to be banned from the European Union.[Snip] She has instructed EU Commission staff to refer to foreigners who break border control laws as “irregular migrants” or simply “people” instead. But her attempt to dictate how the issue of immigration is discussed was savaged last night. UK Independence Party leader Nigel Farage said: “Now the EU is even trying to change the language. “This sounds like something straight out of the pages of George Orwell’s Animal Farm. It shows that what we are dealing with here

His house, his booze, his drugs, his women and his 17 children were paid for by a benefits system meant to be a safety net for the truly needy.[Snip] This was one of the most horrible crimes committed against children in Britain in recent years. It was cynical. It was calculating. And it was done out of malice in a ham-fisted plot which went wrong. The trial spoke volumes about the sheer nastiness of the individuals involved. But it also lifted the lid on the bleak and often grotesque world of the welfare benefit scroungers--of whom there are not dozens,

A coral reef in Northern Australia severely damaged by warming seas has managed to completely heal itself in just 12 years, stunned researchers have found. The team found that being left alone to breed on its own was key. The discovery raises hope that other damaged reefs could ´regenerate´. The new research shows that an isolated reef off the northwest coast of Australia that was severely damaged by a period of warming in 1998. It was hit by coral bleaching, caused by higher water temperatures that break down the coral´s symbiotic relationship with algae that provide food for coral growth.

North Korea has transported two more missiles to the east coast, Seoul military sources have revealed, triggering speculation that it is ready for an abrupt missile launch. North Korea has loaded two intermediate-range missiles onto mobile launchers and hidden them in an unidentified facility near the east coast, South Korea´s Yonhap news agency has said. "It has been confirmed that North Korea, early this week, transported two Musudan mid-range missiles by train to the east coast and loaded them on vehicles equipped with launch pads," Yonhap quoted the official as saying. The official said the mobile launchers had since

As the US and China grow increasingly involved, Kim Jong-un must be brought into line if war is not to be triggered by an act of recklessness. There are two schools of thought about what lies behind North Korea’s increasingly frenzied posturing. The first goes like this: the rhetoric emanating from Pyongyang--including calls to “break the waists of the crazy enemies [and] totally cut their windpipes”--is no worse than their decades-old ritualistic promises to turn South Korea into a “sea of fire”. What we are witnessing, according to this theory, is nothing more than an inexperienced leader

Anyone who remembers the halcyon dreams of the 1990s, of civil society spreading the world over, heralding a new peaceful, global millennium, must marvel at the path the young 21st century has taken. Even those who paid attention to global Jihad before the millennium could not imagine how vulnerable the West would prove in the coming, wildly asymmetrical war. Those who, over the course of the last 13 years, have awakened to the ever-growing danger of Islamism and to the astonishing inability of decent people--Muslims and non-Muslims--to effectively oppose its aggressions, owe themselves a brief lesson in cognitive warfare, and

The political race many had anticipated would unfold in the 1st congressional district--the national comedian’s sister versus the once-disgraced governor angling for a comeback--is here. Former Gov. Mark Sanford won Tuesday’s GOP runoff over former Charleston County Councilman Curtis Bostic, according to unofficial results. Sanford now faces five more weeks on the campaign trail before a May 7 showdown with Democrat Elizabeth Colbert Busch, whose business background and moderate politics are expected to create a tight contest. Lowcountry voters haven’t elected a Democrat from the 1st District for more than three decades, but Colbert Busch already has shown

RUSH: Folks, I don´t know how else to categorize this. We are living in a dying country. I don´t know how else to categorize what´s happening -- 88,000 new jobs. The unemployment rate, because of a terrible statistic, is down to 7.6%. The number of people in this country who are not working is shameful. Ninety million Americans are no longer in the workforce. Ninety million. People not in the labor force grew by 663,000, and now 90 million. That´s the labor force participation rate. This is 1979 levels.

President Obama´s biggest gaffe yesterday when speaking of California Attorney General Kamala Harris was not in flirtatiously complimenting her as "the best-looking attorney general," but in introducing an observation from the system of beauty into a forum that was about the system of power. What´s that, you say? Irin Carmon does a great job in Salon in laying out the bounds of propriety for when it´s appropriate to talk about a woman´s looks as a general matter. But I´ve long felt we lack a solid theoretical underpinning for easily discussing these issues, and why precisely it is that

Michelle Obama has admitted that she is already tired of the bangs she first sported in January. The First Lady said in an interview with Entertainment Tonight: ´Bangs are a day-by-day proposition. They´re starting to grow out, get a little irritating.´ Still, she hasn´t let her hairdo woes get her down. ´It´s okay,´ she said after her initial complaint. ´We´ll be good.´ The first indication that her hairstyle was becoming a burden came about last weekend, when Malia, 14, was spotted adjusting her mother´s hair during the White House Easter Egg Roll.

No one is more preoccupied these days with Hillary Clinton´s 2016 plans than the Beltway political class—not even the former presidential candidate herself. To hear some tell it, her decision will be dispositive for all other Democrats thinking of entering the race. And pundits and reporters aren´t the only ones positing the "The Hillary Factor": No less than the House Democratic whip, Steny Hoyer, told BuzzFeed, “I don´t know that anybody would run against Hillary…. If she runs, she clears the field.” It´s an understandable conclusion, given Clinton´s stature in the Democratic Party and her 70 percent

The Obama White House is scrambling to blame Friday’s abysmal March jobs numbers on the sequester’s trimming of the rate of growth in federal budgets that have yet to fully commence. After the Labor Department announced that a mass exodus of 663,000 workers left the U.S. workforce last month and that job creation fell 112,000 jobs short of projections, Obama’s top economic adviser Alan B. Krueger, took to the White House blog to blame the sequester: It is important to bear in mind that the March household and payroll surveys are the first monthly surveys to look

Ms. Smith first relayed how her son, prior to the attack, requested additional security in advance and warned the State Department: He did tell them, ahead of time, he typed it into his little typewriter over there,

According to a White House statement, the Obama administration believes the current rules allow some wealthy individuals "to accumulate many millions of dollars in these accounts, substantially more than is needed to fund reasonable levels of retirement saving."
