Can Rahm Emanuel’s Illegal
Thug Tactics Be Stopped?

FrontPage Magazine, by Michael Volpe

Original Article

A number of pro-2nd Amendment groups have condemned a series of letters written by Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel encouraging both Bank of America and TD Bank not to honor credit lines with gun manufacturers, but so far, Emanuel is not facing any legal action for his interference in a private contract. Last week, Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel sent a letter from his office to two banks, Bank of America and TD Bank, asking each to suspend doing business with gun manufacturers in the hope that this will pressure these companies into helping gun legislation pass.

By seeking to ban just about all modern firearms produced and sold in the USA, the liberal Democrats are affectively attempting to put most of the conservative oriented US small arms and relating industries out of business, as those industries could not survive bidding on the diminishing number of military small arms contracts. If the liberal Democrats are successful they will also be eliminating the tens of thousands of well paying American jobs that now exist in those industries.

Notice that the liberal Democrats have nothing to say about the Hollywood movie, and the video game industries that produce an unending stream of very violent movies, and addictive and very violent video games, that give the unsound minds of young people with mental disorders who grow up in places like peaceful rural Connecticut towns, ideas as they set out on their own personal suicide missions, that by committing criminally insane mass murders they can draw worldwide attention to themselves. That´s because the movie and video game industries are big time liberal Democrat financial supporters.

Meanwhile the left is convinced that every Republican sneeze is a racial putdown of America’s first black president since Bill Clinton.

Shutting down a speaker, or a professor, or a book with which you strongly disagree is nothing new. Indeed, if there’s anything really new about Brandeis’ disinvitation to Ayaan Hirsi Ali, it’s that they invited her at all, no matter how briefly. If the school’s donors took freedom seriously, they’d cancel their contributions. But the key to understanding Brandeis is that it has been this way for half a century. Banning Ayaan is indeed the fulfillment of a famous call to censorship by one of the most famous leftist philosophers of the last century: Herbert Marcuse, a Brandeis professor who

Zeituni Onyango, President Obama´s illegal alien aunt, died this week of cancer and other complications. I hope she rests in peace. America, however, should be up in arms. Auntie Zeituni is an enduring symbol of all that is wrong with this country´s immigration "policy" -- or rather, its complete lack of a coherent, enforceable system of laws and rules that puts the national interest first. She was a beneficiary of the welfare state run amok, enabled by bipartisan fecklessness. To the bitter end, she bit the hand that fed her with predictable ingratitude and metastatic entitlement.

"How green bullying, junk science and EU lies killed off another successful industry," I wrote in a piece a few months back. The story went roughly like this: 1. Greenpeace and similar organisations decide to target chemicals industry. 2. They need a heartwarming poster species so they rope in bees. Bees become the new polar bear, about to die out any moment with catastrophic consequences for the world: no honey ever again; also, we all die because who will pollinate our crops? Bees are dying, Greenpeace and co decide, because of chemicals called "neonicotinoids".

Officially, Brandeis is now a place where critics of Islam -- "blasphemers" and "apostates," according to Islamic law -- are scorned and rejected. Not that Brandeis put it that way in its unsigned announcement about Hirsi Ali´s dis-invitation, which notes: "She is a compelling public figure and advocate for women´s rights, and we respect and appreciate her work to protect and defend the rights of women and girls throughout the

Recently, Copenhagen Zoo shot a young giraffe named Marius with a bolt gun, publicly dissected it—like a hanged criminal in eighteenth-century England—in front of children, and then fed the remains to the zoo’s lions. Marius was killed, the zoo said, because there was no space for him, his genes were already well represented in European breeding populations, and he was therefore a surplus animal. Despite offers from other zoos and even a private individual to take Marius, the Danish zoo wanted to avoid the possibility of inbreeding and thought that euthanasia was the best solution. Following the massacre of grammar-school children in Newtown, Conn., in December 2012, high-powered weapons have been used to kill innocent victims in more senseless public incidents. Those killings, however, are only a fragment of the total harm caused by the misuse of firearms. Each year, more than 30,000 people die in the United States in firearm-related incidents. Many of those deaths involve handguns. The adoption of rules that will lessen the number of those incidents should be a matter of primary concern to both federal and state legislators.
