| A little more than a month after the tragic mass shooting of 26 students and faculty at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Conn., a group of 26 students from the school will perform America the Beautiful during the Super Bowl XLVII pregame show, NFL spokesman Brian McCarthy confirmed to USA TODAY Sports on Wednesday. The league is flying the students and their families down to New Orleans later this week in advance of the performance, which will be broadcast live on CBS shortly before Alicia Keys performs the National Anthem.

Now politics enters a game where people just want to enjoy the game.These poor shooting victims wil lbe exploited by the left for years to come.
I´ve already read 3 other shooting stories this morning. What all this publicity is doing is leading to more copycat killings.
We live in a 15 minutes of fame world,where psycho people don´t care how they get it.The social meltdown continues every day.
We´re trying to pass guns laws without the word crime even being mentioned.

I play to watch one of my recorded gun shows during the half time of the now "super bowl". I´m not surprised, the Democrats would play a video of the killings if there was one and they would loop it over and over again. That is how twisted and sick I think they are. But any party that boos God at their convention and celebrates the killing of 50 million babies since 1973 has no shame or morals period.

I read somewhere that some gay marriage propaganda will be inserted into the game also.

Bob Coasts commented that Newtown took him off the hook with regard to his anti gun rant during half time a couple of months ago.
IOW, let no crisis go to waste.
As a parent my heart aches for the Newtown parents. They are well meaning but some are wrong on the gun control issue.

A bipartisan group of Senate negotiators signaled Tuesday night that it has reached a deal in principle on expanding background checks to include more gun sales, in what was widely seen as the major sticking point on the biggest gun control legislation to reach the floor since 1994. Sens. Joe Manchin III, D-W.Va., and Patrick J. It’s bad enough that RNC Chairman Reince Priebus has decided to continue the relationship with failed Romney consultants Targeted Victory to send the RNC’s mass emails. What’s so harrowing is the cynicism and sloppiness Targeted Victory brings to the table to fulfill that contract. One would think that Targeted Victory, in fulfilling the RNC email contract, would take extreme care and would want to remove any taint of the Romney campaign from the RNC emails. (Targeted Victory invoiced the failed Romney campaign for over $17 million.) But one would be wrong in making that assumption.

Yet somehow… in some strange, perhaps not so mysterious fashion… each son sounds… like… yes indeed: Dad 2.0. Former Florida Governor Jeb Bush sounds like ex-President Dad George H.W. At the Conservative Political Action Conference last weekend, the nation’s largest annual gathering of conservatives, many speculated that the GOP might be veering in a more libertarian direction—or at least influential leaders within the party might be prodding it or might be anxious for it to go in that direction. The air has been full of 10th-anniversary Iraq war retrospectives. One that caught my eye was a smart piece by Tom Curry, national affairs writer for NBC News, who wrote of one element of the story, the war´s impact on the Republican Party: "The conflict not only transformed" the GOP, "but all of American politics." It has, but it´s an unfinished transformation. Did the Iraq war hurt the GOP? Yes. The war, and the crash of ´08, half killed it. It´s still digging out, and whether it can succeed is an open question.

The harsh assessment of the RNC “autopsy” committee would be that it talked to 2,600 people, yet one of its top proposals is reviving a minority inclusion council from the 1990s. It takes months of research to come up with this stuff? But that would be too harsh. The autopsy is a good-faith effort to stare the Republican predicament straight in the face. It’s just that there are inherent limits to any such exercise. The party is not going to be saved by committee.

The murder trial of abortionist Kermit Gosnell largely is being ignored by the mainstream media, even in the face of grisly testimony, such as what we heard yesterday. Life News reports: ...a former employee described how she heard a baby scream during a live-birth abortion. In the message he issued along with his budget proposal on Wednesday morning, President Barack Obama said he wants to see 4-year-old children in the United States enrolled in public schools. Obama said America needs to start enrolling 4-year-olds to make sure the children are “better prepared for the demands of the global economy” and to help parents save on "child-care costs." Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Kathleen Sebelius conceded Monday that implementing the Affordable Care Act has been more complicated and frustrating than the Obama administration expected, largely due to Republicans who have opposed the law´s state-based exchanges and Medicaid expansion. In a stunning end to one of the most aggressively unsuccessful tenures in retail history, JCPenney (JCP) last night announced that CEO Ron Johnson would be leaving effective immediately. Myron Ullman, Johnson´s predecessor at JCPenney, takes office as CEO. When Johnson was initially wooed by JCPenney, it was to serve as CEO with Ullman as Chairman. In January 2012, Ullman was unceremoniously removed from the board. Gone with Ullman was any control the Board of Directors had over Ron Johnson and his control of JCPenney resources.

The state of California is reportedly considering legislation that would force group insurance policies to provide infertility treatment for gay and lesbian couples. Two men who have sex with each other for a year and do not produce a baby would be considered “infertile” under the proposed legislation. So would two women having sex. Since biology does not allow those without a uterus to conceive or those without a penis to impregnate, every year-long gay couple in California would potentially be covered by this new provision of California law.
