If the Republican (Stupid) Party gives the Democrats political cover to pass a path to citizenship amnesty, the Republican share of the Hispanic vote will probably increase from 28% to 33% and the Democrats will end up with 10 million or more new foreign born voters by way of the amnesty. Those figures look pretty good to stupid Party politicians like John McCain.

The republicans should be talking to people as people,not racial groups,that´s the dems game.

You can completely avid the race game here by saying border and immigration laws are a rule of law issue and not intended to target racial groups.

That´s 20-30,000,000 new demonrat voters, if they aren´t already voting illegally. By the time you add in their families (allowed under immigration law to come here too), the total new demonrat voters will be about 100,000,000. What do you think that´s going to do to the budget deficit and the economy?

Along with "breaking into this country" and just as serious, are the millions of people who just melt into the crowds when it comes time to go home because they came in on a short-term visa, such as business/vacation, student or a work visa to a specific job that they no longer have.

It is inconceivable that this country is incapable of creating a biometric system to track, and deport when necessary, each and every person who enters through customs. It is equally unimaginable that a country at the forefront of technology cannot find a way to track "defendants" who have been ordered deported by a court and ascertain that the person ordered out actually leaves in a timely manner.

In addition to felony entry, the should be severe penalties for illegal immigrants and both the "sponsors" and "their dependents" who even apply for taxpayer funded benefits.

And, IF I were vindictive, I would ask that a parent who "forces" a child to break the law by bringing them along in their breaking into this country be classified as child abuse and allow the parents--no matter the age when caught--to either 1) take the child with them as they self-deport without adjudication or 2) sever all parental rights and allow the child(ren) to be adopted.
