Apparently this author thinks that we are upset that the GOP didn´t pick up more seats. The people I know are upset that the members of the GOP who are currently in the house and senate don´t seem to have a backbone or know how to stop an administration that is abusing their power and destroying our country in the process. Just said to my husband, we are now in a country that looks very little like the one we had just four years ago. My word people, never mind your "feelings.:

Many here might quickly dismiss most if not all of these bright spots of sunshine "not gonna happen". Uhhuh, but the stock market continues to climb. Yeah, FED easing, injecting $80Bill/month. But seems the very smart money is comfortable with stocks. They like the future.

Maybe obama has met his Waterloo. Not predicting, just saying maybe.

Here is why we are glum. Anyone with a tenth of a brain knows that he will get to pick several Supreme Court Justices in the next 4 years. Look at his picks so far.

When that loose end is tied up the Constitution will be scrapped to the point that we will not recognize it. He will continue to flood the country with people who only want to get here and sign up for the government cheese.

My friend in the tax prep business has dealt with "low information" voters all week who can´t understand why they can´t get their $8,000 IRS check by Friday.

They make just enough money as a waitress to meet the max EITC.

He tells them "Obama´s stash" is empty, that´s why they have to wait till Feb 20. LOL.

Why be glum? If the Republicans manage to get something through that works, the regime will take credit. If they don´t, they will get the blame for everything that happens. And as long as the education system keeps pumping out lofos who believe the media, that´s the way it´s going to be.

Mr. Ferrara is conflating our ´glumness´ with the loss of an election, not the truth as we see it.........

We lost the Country.

Sir, we are well and truly living through history. Just like the Brits have plenty of octogenarians who watched as Britannia went UNDER the waves, we are now watching over half the Country ignore our demise and focus instead on free stuff and "The X Factor".

THAT is why we are ´glum´.

I´m glum because I don´t have anyone to vote for or a party to root for. I´ll quit being glum when the Democrats are kicked out of the Republican Party and the White House.

I get it that when the Feds dump huge amounts of cash into the economy that the price of everything goes up....but......just exactly how does this money get into the hands of the stock market speculators who keep bidding up the DOW.

And....where can I go to get some of it ???

You can speculate in Real Estate with mortgage money but how do you finance stocks without personal capital ?

Did anyone see the ‘2nd Bill of Rights’ on FoxNews this morning. ‘The right to a productive job,’ The right to a house,’ the right to medical services’ are among them. Apparently Roosevelt tried to pass something similar to this in the thirties. About the same time the Soviet Union was writing its Constitution. And…surprise! They are pretty much the same! This turn to Socialism has taken a few years…but it’s in its’ final stages now.

Mr. Ferrara, the electorate was very different in the past.
Look who is voting now and look who they have elected for a second term. This doesn´t afford much hope.

Mr. Ferrara, Wish you were right, but you see, the American people are no longer up to Ben Franklin´s challenge. They are too stupid to keep their republic.
