Mark Levin: Scarborough ´Can´t

Breitbart Big Journalism, by Tony Lee

Conservative talk radio host and scholar Mark Levin assailed MSNBC host Joe Scarborough on Monday for slamming Sarah Palin and implying that Palin--and the Tea Party--was fading away and losing influence. On Monday morning, Scarborough joyously claimed on MSNBC´s Morning Joe that Palin and the Tea Party did not represent the future of the conservative movement and implied those like New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie did. On his talk radio show, Levin said Scarborough "can´t hold a candle to Sarah Palin." Levin said Scarborough´s attack on Palin represented "cowardice," was "cheap," and symbolized

""We’re not going to be able to advance the cause of limited constitutional government unless we deal with these big government enablers on our side," Palin forcefully said. "And this all ties into the problem of crony capitalism and the permanent political class in the Beltway. We need to consistently take them on election after election – ever vigilant."

This is the reason why the Republican Establishment always loses the fight for smaller government and less taxes. Its because they don´t want to win. They hate Palin because she is exposing the frauds for what they are.

#1 is exactly right.

i am amazed how people dont see how tghe establishment has a vested interest in the status quo, and how republicans are just as guilty as Dimms for tghe $16 trillion in debts.

i remember what the establishment thought of Reagan and i remember how Bush sr. destroyed the Reagan revolution.

i dont understand why people keep wasting time fighting the republican establishment and just start their own party.

Bravo, #1 and #2!!!!
The future of the conservative movement lies with rank and file, Christian, rubber meets the road anti- government voters and leaders like Mrs. Palin. The entire Republican party is corrupt and godless. They, and their Tea Party poser henchmen like Christie, Paul, and Ryan are their (sic) female dogs. The time is right for a third party. God is on our side.

Here, here 1,2 and 3. The GOP really really do not realize its not same old, same old any longer for many of us lifelong Republicans. Catch Dana Perino on Hannity tonite. Her happy-go-lucky, stick up for Dems and be nice political strategy shows why GOP is going to continue to lose. There are patriots out here unwilling to sit here and watch the one party (with 2 heads) take us down.

I say let all the moderate Republicans and RINOS like Jeb Bush join the Democratic party and we start a new PARTY. The Republican party has no real interest in cutting the trillion dollars we are borrowing to spend. Very little difference between the two parties any more. The Republicans will get not one penny from me.

For young Europeans, it must be difficult to imagine the routine deprivation that existed behind the Iron Curtain when Margaret Thatcher came to power. As a refugee in London during the Eighties, I had to smuggle necessities to my family in Poland: toothpaste, shampoo, washing powder and, hidden in the parcels, miniature editions of books that were banned there. Occasionally, these were found and confiscated – including, in 1984, a copy of Nineteen Eighty-Four. Mrs Thatcher’s role in changing all this cannot be overstated. For those behind the Iron Curtain, she was

In the immigration-reform legislation soon to be released by the Senate’s Gang of Eight, there will be a path to citizenship for illegal immigrants — but it will require proof of the border’s having been secured, and it will involve an arduous process that could easily take two decades for those eligible. The mark-up process for the Gang’s legislation will begin during the week of May 6. There will be no limits placed on how many amendments can be added, according to a source familiar with the negotiations. These are the broad outlines of the legislation: Modernizing the legal-immigration system.

There is nothing extraordinary about her, and by that I mean she´s not extreme; she´s not way, way far out there. She is a mainstream American liberal today. Folks, that´s very important. This is the woman who thinks that the whole notion that kids belong to their parents is outdated. That idea is cockamamie. The government is really the parent.

Ashley Judd is a Hollywood actress who thought about, and decided against, running as a Democrat for U.S. Senate in Kentucky, where Minority Leader Mitch McConnell is up for a sixth term next year. That´s about all we knew about her until yesterday, except for one other fact that led us to suspect she was kind of strange. Back in December a reader sent along a headline from a Kentucky paper describing Judd as "Still Mum" on a prospective candidacy. "Mum" is easily recognizable as the British translation of "Mom," so we thought this might make for an amusing juxtaposition.

Because the BBC had a series of run-ins with Margaret Thatcher in the 1980s, and is hardly well disposed towards the Tory-led Coalition, I had expected it to pour buckets of cold water over the memory of the Iron Lady. To begin with, I was pleasantly surprised. The tone of BBC News 24 on Monday afternoon was slightly awed, even reverential, as is befitting when any great figure dies. Some of the newscasters even wore a black tie. A picture of Margaret Thatcher was shown as silence was observed.

CHICAGO — When she returns home here Wednesday to deliver a speech on gun violence, first lady Michelle Obama will be making a rare foray into the politics of the day that could presage a more activist role during her husband’s second term. Obama is taking what aides described as an intentional step outside her narrow focus on military families and childhood nutrition to confront the dark reality of young people being gunned down on the streets of America’s cities. The remarks come amid a contentious debate on Capitol Hill over stricter gun laws advocated by President Obama.

Jones, Cyndi Lauper and Justin Timberlake. He was also joined on the front row by daughters Malia and Sasha who giggled and shook their heads at their dad´s dance moves.

The woman behind an internet campaign to organise street parties to "celebrate" the death of Baroness Thatcher can be named as Romany Blythe, a drama teacher from Brighton. Romany Blythe, 45, created a group on Facebook called The Witch is Dead followed by more than 5,000 people, calling for “demonstrations of disapproval” across the country. A number of places on the list were locations of riots and demonstrations that took place across the country on Monday, including Bristol city centre and George Square in Glasgow. Blythe is a drama teacher with a workshop company that visits secondary schools.

A bipartisan group of senators has struck a deal to expand gun background checks to all commercial sales — whether at gun shows, via the Internet or in any circumstance involving paid advertising, according to Senate aides familiar with the talks. The proposed agreement would be more stringent than current law, which requires checks only when purchases are made through a licensed dealer, but less than originally sought by President Obama and congressional Democrats, who were seeking to expand background checks to nearly every kind of sale.

Beginning a week of high pressure on gun control, the White House on Monday accused some Republican senators of cowardice for planning to filibuster gun legislation without allowing the full Senate to vote on President Obama’s initiatives. “If they oppose this legislation, have the courage to say so on the floor and vote no,” said White House press secretary Jay Carney. “Don’t block it. Don’t hide behind a procedural action to prevent a vote. That’s the wrong thing to do, and that’s how the president clearly feels.”

The sequester may have many across the country singing the blues, but for President Obama, it was all about Memphis Soul. In the message he issued along with his budget proposal on Wednesday morning, President Barack Obama said he wants to see 4-year-old children in the United States enrolled in public schools. Obama said America needs to start enrolling 4-year-olds to make sure the children are “better prepared for the demands of the global economy” and to help parents save on "child-care costs." After saying the United States needs to “equip our citizens with the skills and training” to fill jobs in manufacturing, energy and infrastructure, Obama said, “And that has to start at the earliest possible age.”

And why did the administration lie about who was responsible? Although the first votes on gun -control legislation have yet to be cast, by some measures the National Rifle Association has already won. Obama’s ambitious plans to ban assault weapons and limit magazine capacities are off the table, while the NRA suggested it could support the most likely outcome -- expanded background checks -- as recently as 1999. The NRA claims that the president’s efforts have triggered a fundraising surge and boosted its membership from 4 million to nearly 5 million.

Margaret Thatcher had more impact on the world than any woman ruler since Catherine the Great of Russia. Not only did she turn around—decisively—the British economy in the 1980s, she also saw her methods copied in more than 50 countries. "Thatcherism" was the most popular and successful way of running a country in the last quarter of the 20th century and into the 21st. Her origins were humble. Born Oct. 13, 1925, she was the daughter of a grocer in the Lincolnshire town of Grantham. Alfred Roberts was no ordinary shopkeeper.

Myron Ullman, Johnson´s predecessor at JCPenney, takes office as CEO. When Johnson was initially wooed by JCPenney, it was to serve as CEO with Ullman as Chairman. In January 2012, Ullman was unceremoniously removed from the board. Gone with Ullman was any control the Board of Directors had over Ron Johnson and his control of JCPenney resources.
