´Our parents pay tax so

Couple living off £17k

A young couple who receive more than £17,000 a year in benefits appeared on ITV´s This Morning to defend their taxpayer-funded lifestyle. Danny Creamer, 21, and Gina Allen, 18, who live in a comfortable two-bedroom flat in Portsmouth with their four month old daughter, Talulah Rose, say they are better off on £17k benefits and argue that unless they are able to find jobs that pay £18,000 a year or more, there´s no point in working. The couple also hit back at those who describe them as scroungers, arguing that because their hard-working parents have paid

What do they expect Talulah Rose to do when she´s grown? Since her parents are too lazy to work and aren´t paying into the system that will disqualify her to be a slug like Mom and Dad.

People like this are why communist countries have a law against parasitism.
Under capitalism we shouldn´t have to have such a law.
Perhaps we need a law to prevent politicians from giving away this money.

Or perhaps the politicians could just stop.
Ha ha. I made myself laugh.

When Talulah Rose has another brother or sister, do the benefits increase ?

Have YOU Actually Read
the Arizona ´Gay´ Bill?

You probably have an opinion about the Arizona legislature´s controversial new bill, SB 1062, awaiting signature or veto by Gov. Jan Brewer. You may have complained that it reinstates "Jim Crow" by allowing businesses to refuse to serve gays. You may have defended it as a necessary response to the courts´ encroachments on the freedom of religion, where people have been sued for refusing to bake cakes or take pictures at gay weddings. But have you actually read the bill itself? (Make sure you´ve read the right version: the original text was later amended.) It´s shorter than most of the

Vice president Joe Biden’s latest blunder, handed down during an appearance on “The View,” has raised the hackles of several women who say his 1950s-era image of what women want is degrading, offensive and ridiculously stereotypical. His words, touting Obamacare: “How many of you are single women with children with a dead-end job … there because of your health insurance.” He went on: “You would rather have the opportunity to spend the next couple years with your children, [but] you’re not trapped in that job.” Enter Obamacare, and he said, on The View: “You’re [now] able to make a choice. …

HONOLULU — When the federal government began parceling out billions of dollars for the new health insurance marketplaces under the Affordable Care Act, President Obama´s home state was in an enviable position. Hawaii already had one of the highest insured rates in the nation as the result of a 40-year-old state law requiring employers to provide coverage. The state received more than $205 million in federal money to build a health insurance exchange to serve those still uninsured. Yet four months after enrollments began, the Hawaii Health Connector has allocated $120 million while signing up only about 4,300 people for

LOS ANGELES— A Northern California couple out walking their dog on their property stumbled across a modern-day bonanza: $10 million in rare, mint-condition gold coins buried in the shadow of an old tree. Nearly all of the 1,427 coins, dating from 1847 to 1894, are in uncirculated, mint condition, said David Hall, co-founder of Professional Coin Grading Service of Santa Ana, which recently authenticated them. Although the face value of the gold pieces only adds up to about $27,000, some of them are so rare that coin experts say they could fetch nearly $1 million apiece. "I don´t like to

(Video) Hillary Clinton has been on the national stage a long time, since her husband once touted their two-for-one candidacy and she declared she was not a stay-home-and-bake-cookies kind of wife. I always assumed that her age would be a subliminal issue if she makes a second attempt to shatter the glass ceiling. But it’s now coming out of the closet, so to speak. Mike Huckabee, the Fox News host who is weighing a second White House run, used an interview with Bill O’Reilly to float the issue. He isn’t sure Clinton will run, Huckabee said: “She’s going to be

Is it MSNBC or The View? Hard to tell today as The View´s own Barbara Walters literally and figuratively kissed up to Vice President Joe Biden during his appearance on the show. Walters welcomed Biden by declaring there´s not "much doubt that you´re a superb Vice President." Biden, the gracious guest, brought gifts for the show´s hosts which led to this awkward exchange. Is one allowed to kiss a Vice President?" Biden enthused, "Oh, I´d love that." The audience whooped it up as the two shared an embrace. A trove of Clinton White House records long processed for release remains hidden from public view at the Clinton Presidential Library in Little Rock — even though the legal basis initially used to withhold them expired more than a year ago. The papers contain confidential advice given to or sought by President Bill Clinton, including communications with then-first lady Hillary Clinton, and records about people considered for appointments to federal office. About 33,000 pages of documents are involved, according to the National Archives, which runs the library. Under the Presidential Records Act, such records can be withheld for up to

It has the makings of a royal mess for “King Barack.” Monday morning’s Supreme Court argument about the Environmental Protection Agency’s authority to regulate greenhouse gases went badly for the Obama administration — so much so that the real question before the justices seemed to be how severe the EPA’s loss would be. The administration’s solicitor general, Donald Verrilli, pleaded with the justices to recognize the “urgent problem” of climate change, because the “threat to future generations gets worse” with each passing year. But as the argument played out, the court’s swing justice, Anthony Kennedy, made clear that he

Were he alive today, Richard Nixon would have to doff his hat to Barack Obama. Compared with how the Obama administration has swept under the rug the Benghazi attacks of September 11, 2012, Nixon’s attempt to cover up the Watergate burglary was rank amateurism. To be fair, Nixon’s team of Haldeman, Ehrlichman, Mitchell, and Dean were not in the same league as Obama’s, which includes not only his cabinet but most of the national media and much of Congress.
