While Media Buzzes Over Rush and Rubio,
Obama Stands in Way of Immigration Deal

RUSH: The Drive-By Media, the State-Controlled Media is abuzz -- bzz bzz bzz bzz bzz -- with the fact that Senator Marco Rubio will be our guest on this program in exactly one hour. They´re all talking about it. And the subject, of course, is amnesty. Uh, uh, sorry. Immigration reform. (imitating McCain) "Meaningful, comprehensive immigration reform, Limbaugh, that´s what it is. It´s not amnesty. We don´t call it amnesty." Sorry. Exactly right, Senator. It´s meaningful, comprehensive immigration reform. We put together a montage of the media all atwitter

Rubio is intelligent, an excellent speaker and nice to look at. A real hat trick.

Rubio is a fraud. Many are easily fooled smooth talking metrosexual, ala Obama.
Amnesty for 11-20 million illegals is not a conservative principle, especially in this job market. Chuck Schumer and Dick Durbin are not stupid. Rubio is the stupid one. The idea that millions of border state illegals are going to vote GOP because they´ll be business owners is a sick joke. 70% vote Democrat, as they have since Carter --even after Reagan gave them amnesty. Ah but Rubio looks great in a suit. Good grief. Stupid people should not be allowed to vote.

#2, repeat over and over again: Obama is the enemy. The Democrats are the enemy. People like Rubio, Boehner, McConnell, Romney, Graham and even McCain are NOT the enemy. They may often disappoint you or frustrate you because they don´t support you on all issues, but they are still preferable to the leftist Democrats by a wide margin. Once you and other anti-RINO inquisitors get that straight, then we might be able to mount a successful offensive against our real enemies.

#3, my friend, I have been preaching that message ever since I found this wonderful website. The granting of amnesty to 11-20 million law violators is not just another issue. In my opinion, it would mean a permanent minority status for the GOP, and, by extension, death of the Constitution. I´m a moderate, but at some point you´ve got to draw a line in the sand and amnesty is my line. If they approve this, the GOP is dead to me. I understand the need for compromise -- especially after last election -- but amnesty would be a structural and permanent shift in the electorate heavily favoring democrats in key swing states like NM, CO, NV, AZ, FL, and even VA and NC. I don´t think people out there understand how big of an issue this is.

Reply 5 - Posted by: dr fate, 1/29/2013 7:23:43 PM     (No. 9147255)

Well, another one bites the dust. Rubio now officially disgusts me. I really don´t even care about his philosophy on this issue, the fact that he is obsessed with THIS crap when there are so many battles to be fought and won, and yet he wastes conservatives time with something not one true American feels is justifiable. Even Levin is dancing with this annoyance, despite the fact that anyone else who had the God-awful naivete to deal with the likes of Schumer and McCain would be excoriated.

Excellent comments #4. You speak for those of us who are grateful for what this country has represented for over 200 years, and how it was brought into existence. It is now being treated like a Monopoly Game. They, Republicans and Democrats alike, are selling our heritage and our future. I am beginning to loathe their lack of regard for these things many of us care deeply about.

Edward Snowden must be smiling. Fresh from gaining asylum from Vladimir Putin, the self-admitted stealer of U.S. security secrets can now boast that he has caused an American President to retreat on his core powers as Commander in Chief. That´s the import of President Obama´s announcement late Friday, before he left for Martha´s Vineyard, that he wants to overhaul the intelligence and data collection programs he inherited from George W. Bush and has used since he took office. Mr. Obama invited Congress to tie him and future Presidents down with new oversight and limits on a surveillance program

Ames, Iowa — Ted Cruz declined to take a position on whether the Republican National Committe is right to boycott NBC and CNN for primary debates if the networks go ahead with their plans to air movies on Hillary Clinton, but made it clear he anticipated such movies would be biased. “I don’t think anybody is surprsised to discover that the mainstream media are in love with Hillary Clinton,” Cruz told reporters after delivering a speech at the Family Leader Summit. “I would expect both of those movies to be released on Valentine’s Day. That is her base.”

One of the idiocies passed off for decades among Western historians is bemoaning the Crusades as evil. The Islamic world -- the Ummah -- has disseminated this imaginary charge against the West, and like fools, we have absorbed Arab lies and taken the blame to heart. But the most superficial reading of Western history should put that canard to rest. Shortly before he died in June 632 AD, Mohammed ordered Muslims to prepare to wage war against the Eastern Roman (Byzantine) Empire. Upon his death, Mohammed´s successor, Abu Bakr, planned to fulfill those instructions.

Ames, Iowa — Donald Trump delivered a blistering attack on Mitt Romney’s campaign today. “I don’t know what the hell happened with his campaign,” Trump said in a speech at The Family Leader Summit. “I just don’t get it. Leave it to President Obama, with one foot out the door, to sling one more verbal jab at any Republicans who have the temerity to oppose his health care law. In a Friday afternoon presser before his vacation getaway, the president called efforts to defund and repeal ObamaCare the Republicans´ "holy grail" and an "ideological fixation." Which is not to be confused with Obama´s own fixation on passing health care despite sustained opposition by more than half the country. The president went on to set up and knock down his own straw man, as The Hill reports:

WASHINGTON — PRESIDENT OBAMA proved himself a great segue artist Friday, as he smoothly glided from his previously unassailable position on the matter of surveillance to his new unassailable position on the matter of surveillance. There is no moral high ground that he does not seek to occupy. As with drones and gay marriage, he seems peeved that we were insufficiently patient with his own private study of the matter. Why won’t the country agree to entrust itself to his fine mind? Yet while Barry is in the thick of it, the air is thick with Hillary.

What really happened to Navy SEAL Team 6? In August 2011, the elite special forces unit suffered the worst battlefield calamity in its history. A Taliban fighter shot down a Chinook helicopter carrying 22 Navy SEAL Team 6 members in Afghanistan. All 38 persons on board — the Navy SEAL warriors, other U.S. military personnel and seven Afghan soldiers — were killed. Grieving family members have been demanding answers. They may now get some as Congress finally opens an investigation. Navy SEAL Team 6 has attained international prominence for one reason: They were responsible for killing

This is the war logic of the desert, and it appears everywhere in Muslim history. In Libya, NATO and the United States foolishly knocked over Gadaffi´s tribal federation that ruled that country for decades, so that Libya today is back to civil war between tribes, families, terrorist gangs, and brothers. Most Muslim nations still preserve the primacy of brothers and cousins, because in case of trouble --

Many things are not remarkable about the growing list of names bandied about in the 2016 presidential speculation sweepstakes - you´ve got your governors, your senators, your ambitious House members, your former elected officials and cabinet members, your vice president. Most have been in politics for a long time, and a lot of them have the gray hair to prove it. One thing that is remarkable about the field, though, is the number of women identified as plausible candidates. It´s not just Hillary Clinton, who obviously looms over the race in a way no other candidate, woman or man, does.

There is widespread acceptance of the proposition that the mainstream media is fully in the tank for Barack Obama, and all his vague but pleasant-sounding initiatives. Even when you discount the fact that the president generally makes himself unavailable to take questions from the media in the first place, and carefully pre-selects those few from whom he actually does take questions, this sycophancy is not completely understandable.

The Washington Post is a legend in the minds of the Washington elite, so its financial decline has caused quiet panic. As NPR media reporter David Folkenflik put it, “You think of stories like the Pentagon Papers, Watergate, these are all stories where The Washington Post led the nation’s understanding, the world’s understanding of some major issues.” Outside the liberal media, you wonder how long Post fans can wallow in their Nixon-crumbling polyester “glory days” in the early 1970s. But nostalgia ruled as the Graham family sold the Post to Jeff Bezos, the billionaire founder of Amazon.com.
