It´s about time for some bipartisan...skeet shooting? Rep. Marsha Blackburn, R-Tennessee, joined a chorus of skeptics who questioned President Barack Obama´s recent comments about his hobby of skeet shooting, a sport where participants fire shotguns to break airborne clay disks. "If he is a skeet shooter, why have we not heard of this? Why have we not seen photos? Why hasn´t he referenced this at any point in time?" Blackburn said Monday on CNN´s "Erin Burnett OutFront." "I tell you what I do think," she later added. "I think he should invite me to Camp David,
You knew this was another lie the minute it came out of his mouth. The kick of a twelve gauge would annihilate that skinny shoulder of his. I hope Congresswoman Blackburn continues to press her challenge. Show him up for what he is. Maybe Ed Henry will ask him about it at his next presser.
In 2009, the WH released an official photo of the Mooch and Obama watching a martial arts demo on the WH lawn. Photo captured Obama reacting like a terrified 10 year old girl to the fighter being tossed onto the mat. If the shrieking Clown in Chief couldn´t handle a mat toss, how could he ever hold a shotgun in those delicate hands?
The moron Frum said (paraphraed)if we take a look at how crime has gone down, we would see that we don´t need guns. David, tell that to the people of Chicago who´ve been crime victims every week and the stories don´t make it to the MSM!
VALERIE JARRETT: Geithner’s here to give you a briefing on your blind trust, sir. OBAMA: Great. No blindfold today, Tim. I’ll just close my eyes. GEITHNER: Good news, sir. Your holdings in publicly traded firearms manufacturers have doubled in value. Smith and Wesson and Sturm Ruger have been going, uh, great guns since 2009. OBAMA: Told ya so. Nothing causes revolvers and semi-automatics to fly off the shelves like a Democrat in the White House. GEITHNER: Your investment in ammunition manufacturers was also prescient, sir. They’re running three shifts since you ordered five billion rounds for your new Civilian National Security Force. OBAMA: I’ve always said, you can’t be too thin or too rich or have too many bullets. David, has Feinstein shown any sign of tumbling to my real agenda—repeal of the 22nd Amendment limiting me to two terms, not the 2nd Amendment? PLOUFFE: Negative. The plan is still operative: we blow the Republicans out in 2014 and push through both Houses a motion to repeal, which then goes out to the states. Media Matters tells me they’ve accumulated enough dirt on Republicans in state houses across the country to assure repeal. JARRETT: The repeal is then encapsulated in a formal document published by the Federal Register. It is then the law of the land. OBAMA: Tell me the best part again. PLOUFFE: You know it, sir. OBAMA: Tell me again. PLOUFFE: [sighs] You appointed the Register’s Archivist. He’ll make a slight mistake in composing the proclamation, adding the digit “2” in the right place, thus invalidating the 22nd Amendment, not the 2nd. OBAMA: I love my country. I’ll stop at four terms, when Crazy Joe’s too old to succeed me.
He will weasel out of this with ease. My guess is that he jokes that he "shoots them down with drones". Actually I will pat myself on the back with that.....it would get some laughs and he´d get credit for being very clever. That´s the usual outcome of his getting caught lying.
I was on the golf course the other day. I play maybe 100 times in 4 years. Anyway, today it is very distracting because there were an unusually large number of skeet shooters on the range next door. It really takes away all the thrill of playing another free round of golf.
When is Bammy ever at Camp David? Every week he is either out fund-raising (still) in far away places or he´s on the golf course.
By golly I´ll bet Bam Bam will take the Mooche, Bo and the girls out to Camp David for a nice quiet weekend(like what they all love) real soon. Mooche can finally take off her wig with bangs and just go "Angela Davis" while she´s there, since no one will see her.
I ran into Marsha many years ago at a gun show in Nashville while she was still in the state legislature. Cute, nice, and always on the right side of the issues. She was Tea Party before there was a Tea Party, and was very supportive of the grass roots movement to keep Tennessee from having a state income tax. I made a point of thanking her for her efforts.
She´s kinda small though. I wonder if she can handle a 12 guage. Can you shoot skeet with a 20? Whatever, I´m sure she could handle a bigger boomer than zero ever thought of doing.
Posters references to obama´s bad golf reminded me of a topic I´ve posted on several times before. Just after the 2008 election there was an article in either Golf or Golf Digest about Presidential golfers. Zip was rated as the 5th or 6th best of them with a reported 16 handicap. Somewhat later it became clear that obama is no 16. Even though his scorecards are guarded and not reported, the word leaked out that his average score is in the 100-105 range. That means his handicap is more like a 28 on his best day. obama lied about his golf like he lies about everything else. BTW I´ve looked for the Golf magazine article and cannot find it. It´s as if the article has been scrubbed from the Web.
#13 yes you can use a 20 gauge, the mental image of obama shooting skeet is both comical and unbelievable to say the least. But will he get away with lying? To quote our Sec of state. What difference does it make

I had to go to the Freepers, but I found the MMA photo (scroll just past half-way down the post): http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2878442/posts
We´ll see photos now.... dated at least months ago, if not longer, to ´´prove´´ that he´s been shootin´ at them skeets for quite some time now. Great sport.
Or maybe he´s not the one shooting at them - maybe he lets his Civilian Military yoots do his shooting for him. Isn´t that what they´re for? (Gotta wonder if each clay has a white/GOP face or name painted on it.....)
This will probably be like oil and water to the libs. Is this politically correct post Sandy Hook, with his moonbat left coast henchwoman NotSoFineStein submitting a bill to ban not only "scary" guns with military characteristics but shotguns and handguns as well? Bamboozler is probably trying to instill a false sense of security in gun-owning Americans. ´ not buying it.
He reads the Constitution and bible every night too! /s off.
Give me a break. He´s at the point now that lies just roll off his tongue as easily as breathing. Compulsive liers lie about everything, even when they don´t have to. Had a friend once who did this. She would even lie about what she had for breakfast because it´s just how she was wired. Show me one picture of our photo-op prez skeet shooting ( btw, who says "we do skeet shooting") and I´ll eat this iPad.
He probably meant "shooting up." I agree with others here who say he wouldn´t like the weight or the kick of the gun. Too much like work! I remember when my ex used to take me out target shooting (& sometimes skeet shooting). He tried to teach me how, but I didn´t like the kick or the noise. I enjoyed just watching the others shoot - which is what I suspect is all he does.
There exist an image of somebody who might be President Obama holding a gun at what appears to be the Camp David skeet range. It´s on sketchy web sites and various forums and has nothing like a provenance. It´s hard to find, considering its newsworthiness. And that there´s only one picture. No professional photographer takes only one picture.
Considering the expanded public interest in a the Presidential Skeet Shoots, now that Øbama has let the "cat out" so-to-speak, you would think the Presidential Press Corps would be excited with questions on the event- and, of course, photos.
Has jay C. been informed as to what to say when those questions come up in the daily briefings? Hmmmm? Or will the press corps, sensing a delicate moment for the liar in Chief, get the message to not ask any questions about this- you know, to help the so-called "President" keep his lie secret, like his university records and his immigration status, and his credibility intact?
She would humiliate and embarass his skinny neapolitan ass!..........................................So many lefty liars....Biden lies, the Hildebeast lies, Susan Rice lies, Holder lies, Hussein lies....this is what the 47% enjoy? Lies? This is what the ass-press rump-swab lap dogs enjoy? Lies? This is what Oprah, Ellen, Leno, Letterman, The View crew, all enjoy? Lies? What an audience of low-information public school morons!
I´ll NEVER understand the fawning and adoration of this foreign exchange student choom-smoking crack-snorting Alinsky Marxist Constitution-despising Liar! Go hang some curtains and shut the hell up, you lifelong liar! And tell Chewbacca the Mooch we all say hey, nice dress....NOT!
Has Obama ever been photographed doing anything remotely manly ? The guy can´t even open an umbrella. On June 8 , 2010 Obama hosted the Congressional picnic at the White House. He tried to walk Bo and photographic hilarity ensued as the puppy dragged him hither and yon. This may have been the first time Obama walked a dog which is a lot harder than eating them. A couple of photos had his loafers airborne-seriously. Michelle , Obama and Bo all walked out of the White House onto the lawn together for the photo op. Bo took off and Barry could not control the puppy. Michelle was photographed suddenly breaking into a run ( in a dress ) after the two of them as it was obvious that Barry was physically unable to control the dog. Obama was just a moment away from falling down and Michelle grabbed the leash in time. One iconic photo ( they may have scrubbed it by now ) had Obama , at the end of the leash , pirouetting up in the air like he was a ballerina .
#33 I´m 5ft 1 and I shoot trap with a 12 gauge. The gun was shortened to my length and I just use lighter loads. Marsha can do it with no sweat. If the gun is held correctly the kick is hardly noticed.
It is a fake. It is a photo from when Zippy was golfing on the day the SEALS killed bin laden. Super easy to find the real photo, just google obamma golfing photos. It comes up immediately. It is also posted as part of an article at usbacklash.org
Man they really think we are stupid. Can we impeach him for being such a liar?
Vandals have torched a statue of President Ronald Reagan at a California park he praised for being started by private citizens and not the government. The Ronald Reagan Sports Park in Temecula has a life-size bronze statue of the 40th president - a tribute to his warm words for the park and its founders. At least one park administrator is suggesting the crime was politically-motivated - committed by someone who doesn´t like Reagan or the conservative viewpoint he has come to represent.
With the ratings building up to the season finale of “Breaking Bad,” AMC has made the clever decision to air every episode of the series. Yes, every episode. The marathon is called “Countdown to Finale.” It starts Tuesday, Sept. 25 at 8 p.m. with the very first episode from January 20, 2008, when Walter White (Bryan Cranston) was a mild-mannered high school chemistry teacher celebrating his 50th birthday with his pregnant wife Skyler (Anna Gunn) and son. He later learns that he has inoperable lung cancer. In those days, meth was just something he saw in a report on the
Embattled IRS official Lois Lerner is retiring from the agency effective Monday, two congressional aides told POLITICO. Lerner sparked the IRS scandal in May when she acknowledged that the agency wrongly targeted tea party groups applying for a tax exemption. She was placed on administrative leave later that month and is under a subpoena to testify before the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee. A Democratic congressional aide said the IRS was moving toward terminating Lerner after completing an investigation into her role in the targeting controversy. The IRS found that Lerner mismanaged her department and was “neglectful of duty”
Better known for its handy pocketknives and Vatican guards than for fighting wars, the Swiss Army of conscripts is still necessary to protect the Alpine federation and its nearly 200-year-old policy of neutrality, voters have decided. In the third referendum on conscription in 25 years, Swiss voters defeated a pacifist group´s proposal to abolish the draft with a resounding 73% no vote on Sunday. The abolitionists from the Switzerland Without an Army group had argued that the 4.7 billion Swiss francs ($5.1 billion) spent to keep 155,000 troops at the ready was a waste of taxpayer funds in a country
President Obama is “likely” to meet with congressional leaders this week about funding the government, the White House said Monday. “I think it’s likely that the president will meet with leaders,” Carney told reporters aboard Air Force One. “I don´t have a time for that or a day for that. But here’s the bottom line: Congress needs to act responsibly in order to ensure that the government does not shut down.” Aides on Capitol Hill have said since last week that the White House was attempting to schedule a meeting with Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio), Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid
Say goodbye to political gridlock, and say hello to actual gridlock. President Obama left the city where nobody gets along and was en route Monday to the city where — for the next two weeks — nobody will be able to get around midtown. Obama is the headliner at the 68th United Nations General Assembly, an annual gathering of world leaders that means world-class traffic woes in Manhattan and elsewhere in New York City. They may speak myriad languages, but their arrival here translates to chaotic commutes, shuttered streets, honking horns, and rerouted bicyclists for the duration of the gathering.
The Obama administration remained mum Monday on whether it will grant a visa to accused war criminal and Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir, who wants to address the U.N. General Assembly this week in New York. Bashir told reporters over the weekend that he´s booked a New York City hotel and plans to fly into the United States via Morocco, following the State Department confirming last week that he has indeed applied for a visa. Bashir´s wishes have put the U.S. government in a tricky and troubling situation. The Sudanese leader has been indicted by the International Criminal Court in connection
There are just some things that shouldn´t happen before your morning cup of coffee. Watching a live birth on TV is one of those things. Sandwiched between news of gunfire at the site of the Kenyan terror attack and a discussion of the Emmy Awards, the NBC Morning show started their week-long ´Born Today´ series about the challenges facing modern parents with a live birth. As part of the series, Today will be airing live births across the country throughout the show this week. The first half hour of Today is traditionally the most news-heavy so it was perplexing, and jarring,
The same day that the Federal Reserve´s Federal Open Market Committee announced last week that the Fed would continue to buy $40 billion in mortgage-backed securities (MBSs) and $45 billion in U.S. Treasury securities per month, the Fed also released its latest weekly accounting sheet indicating that it had already accumulated more Treasuries and MBSs than the total value of the publicly held U.S. government debt amassed by all U.S. presidents from George Washington though Bill Clinton. Since the beginning of September 2008, in fact, the Fed´s ownership of Treasury securities and MBSs has increased seven fold. As of the
Some barricaded themselves in storerooms, while others hid in boxes or even played dead. All were fleeing the bloody massacre unfolding around them as they saw terrified fellow shoppers mercilessly executed after being singled out as non-Muslim. Men, women and children were lined up and then gunned down with AK-47s after failing to name the Prophet Mohammed’s mother or recite passages from the Koran – sure-fire proof they were ‘kafirs’, or non-believers. Others fled and sought refuge in shops, bank vaults and store rooms as grenades exploded and bullets fired around them. The fortunate ones managed to emerge blood-splattered and
A British architect shot dead in the Kenyan mall massacre along with his partner were just weeks away from having their first child. Ross Langdon, who had dual Australian nationality, and his heavily pregnant partner Elif Yavuz were gunned down by terrorists who stormed the Nairobi shopping centre yesterday. According to the Foreign Office four Britons are among the 69 people slaughtered by the terrorists believed to be from Somali Islamist group Al Shabaab. Scroll down for videos -Mr Langdon, 33, had been involved with a number of projects across Africa, which included designing an HIV-Aids hospital in Kenya free
I am sitting in a comfortable gold folding chair inside one of the many ballrooms at the Georgia International Convention Center. The atmosphere is festive, with a three-course dinner being served and children playing a big-band number. The kids are students at a KIPP academy in Atlanta, and they are serenading future teachers on the first night of a four-day-long series of workshops that will introduce us to the complicated language, rituals, and doctrines we will need to adopt as Teach for America "Corps Members." The phrase closing the achievement gap is the cornerstone of TFA´s general philosophy, public-relations messaging,
Speaking at the annual Congressional Black Caucus dinner, President Obama excoriated congressional Republicans Saturday night for risking a government shutdown, and vowed to stop their efforts to defund his health-care plan. “It is time for these folks to stop governing by crisis,” Mr. Obama said at the Washington Convention Center. “Some want to shut down the government rather than provide people with health care!” Referring to Republicans’ strategy to defund Obamacare, the president said he wanted to speak “as clearly as I can.” “It’s not going to happen,” he said. The administration and congressional Republicans are on a collision course over a
WASHINGTON— President Barack Obama on Sunday memorialized the victims of the Washington Navy Yard shooting by urging Americans not to give up on a transformation in gun laws that he argued are to blame for an epidemic of violence. "There is nothing inevitable about it — it comes about because of decisions we make or fail to make," Obama said. Reprising his role of the nation´s consoler in chief after yet another mass shooting, Obama issued a call to action on gun control measures (Snip) "Our tears are not enough," Obama told thousands gathered to mourn at the Marine Barracks.
As the 50th anniversary of the JFK assassination approaches, so does the merchandising onslaught — books, movies, commemorative magazines. But there is one aspect of this commercialism that remains surprising: The most shameless huckster of Kennedy mythology and memorabilia is Caroline Kennedy Schlossberg. Her public image is that of the classy, quiet keeper of the Kennedy legacy, the civic-minded former lawyer who publishes books on poetry while her cousins crash into trees and kick nurses. With the bar for Kennedy comportment set so low, it’s almost impossible for Caroline not to look good. Look closer, though, and it’s clear that Caroline’s image is
In recent columns in the mainstream press, columnists have been distorting gleefully the Pope´s recent statements to make it appear he´s the liberal that will bring the Catholic Church in line with their own agenda. In actuality, Pope Francis is no more likely to approve gay marriage or homosexual activity than any other pope. If the media were less agenda-driven, they would be trying to debunk a miracle that defies explanation and which involves Pope Francis when he was a bishop in Argentina in 1996.
At least 23 people have been shot, five of them fatally, in Chicago since Friday, police said. The weekend violence began just one day after 13 people were injured in a Chicago park. The victims from Thursday´s shooting included 10 males and three females, including 3-year-old Deonta Howard -- known as "Tay-man" -- who was shot in the jaw and listed in critical condition. Chicago Police Superintendent Garry McCarthy said an assault style rifle with a high capacity magazine was used in the park shooting. McCarthy added that based on witness interviews, the attack appears to be gang-related, as several
On Sunday, Chris Wallace, the host of Fox News Sunday, said that Republicans in Washington were savaging Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) behind Cruz´s back before Cruz´s appearance on the program to discuss defunding Obamacare. In an appearance on Washington D.C.´s Fox 5 to preview his Sunday show, Wallace said, "I will tell you I have never in my time in Washington seen a party so upset with one of its own members." He said he had been flooded with opposition research on Cruz--from Republicans. Later on Fox News Sunday, Wallace said these "top Republicans" gave
Washington - House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi continued to offer effusive praise for Hillary Clinton, saying the former secretary of state would be one of the best-prepared incoming presidents if she decided to run in 2016. "If she does, she will win and when she becomes president, she´ll be one of the best-equipped, best-prepared people to enter the White House in a very long time," Pelosi said in an interview that aired Sunday on CNN´s "State of the Union." Noting Clinton´s experience as secretary of state, as a U.S. senator from New York and as a first lady, Pelosi said Clinton would
It´s hard for Ted Cruz to be humble. Part of the challenge stems from his résumé, which the Texas senator wears like a sandwich board. There´s the Princeton class ring that´s always on his right hand and the crimson gown that, as a graduate of Harvard Law School, he donned when called upon to give a commencement speech earlier this year. (Cruz´s fellow Harvard Law alums Barack Obama and Mitt Romney typically perform their graduation duties in whatever robes they´re given.) Even Cruz´s favorite footwear, a pair of black ostrich-skin cowboy boots, serves as an advertisement for his credentials and
Last week, Starbucks asked its American customers to please not bring their guns into the coffee shop. This is part of the company´s concern about customer safety and follows a ban in the summer on smoking within 25 feet of a coffee shop entrance and an earlier ruling about scalding hot coffee. After the celebrated Liebeck v McDonald´s case in 1994, involving a woman who suffered third-degree burns to her thighs, Starbucks complies with the Specialty Coffee Association of America´s recommendation that drinks should be served at a maximum temperature of 82C. Although it was brave of Howard Schultz, the company´s
Arguing federal workers should not get special treatment, Rand Paul says he does not want taxpayers subsidizing the personal health care plans of any federal employee — including Chief Justice John Roberts — anymore. With some in Congress arguing lawmakers and their staff should not get subsidies to cover their health insurance as President Obama’s health care law goes into effect, the Republican senator from Kentucky told The Daily Caller on Sunday that he’s going to start pushing a constitutional amendment that goes even further. Paul’s proposal — outlawing any special exemptions for government employees — would mean all federal
Al Qaeda’s affiliate in Somalia has suffered major setbacks in that country in the last year and a half. Saturday’s horrific attack on an upscale shopping mall in Nairobi, Kenya shows al-Shabaab is not only alive but is capable of sowing mayhem outside the borders of the country it has fought over for nearly a decade. The military-style assault Saturday at the Westlake Shopping mall in Nairobi was the first major al-Shabaab attack outside of Somalia since 2010 when the group set off bombs at multiple locations in Kampala, Uganda, killing more than 70 people who had gathered to watch the
This past week President Obama mockingly said that America is “not some banana republic.” As usual, he lied. A father in Towson, Maryland, was forcefully ejected from a local town hall forum for asking the wrong question. Robert Small had concerns over the Common Core education initiative, feeling that it was dumbing down the curriculum in his local school district. “My question is, how does lowering America’s educational standards prepare kids for community college?” asked Small, before soon being approached by a security guard — who was also an off-duty cop — and being dragged away from his seat. The
