Looks like he is staging a comeback, but he won´t dominate play the way he did 10 years ago. In any case, it´s fun to know all the major tournaments for the year are just over the horizon.

Respectfully Mr. Buckeye, I agree that tiger woods has every right to be irritated by a 6 hour round. If play was that slow the group in front of woods deserved to be put on the clock and fined. As for reply 2, I stand by it.

He is a tiresome, petulant, petty person - fusses over planes overhead, birds, people clicking cameras, leaves falling, you name it. I don´t know how he tolerated the ubiquitous hang-gliders in this beautiful area.

The gushing of the bromancing announcers made this almost impossible to watch. Ian whatshisname was the worst, but Jim Nantz has a love affair with Tiger.
We´re back to one-man tournaments where only one player is followed and lovingly photographed, where all the commentary is cooing about that player, and where some of us say "enough".

The love affair goes way beyond Nantz and partner. ESPN will always provide 2 details about any tournament: the leader and how many shots Eldrick is back. Those complaining about the over-the-top broadcast announcers’ focus on Tiger should be delighted he won’t be playing TPC Scottsdale this week or AT&T Pebble Beach next week and most likely the Northern Trust Open at Riviera. You won’t have to suffer Tiger until the WGC Accenture Match Play at the end of February but at least most of the top golfers in the world will be there.

Williamson, W.Va.- The man suspected of killing a West Virginia sheriff as he ate lunch in his car was mentally disturbed and had no particular vendetta with law enforcement, his father told The Associated Press on Thursday. Melvin Maynard said his 37-year-old son, Tennis Melvin Maynard, was exposed to harmful chemicals and injured while working at an Alabama coal mine.
