‘Wall St.’ flees NY for tax-free Fla.
New York Post, by Josh Margolin

The city’s hedge-fund executives are flying south — and it’s not for vacation. An increasing number of financial firms, especially private equity and hedge funds, are fed up with New York’s sky-high city and state tax rates and are relocating to the business-friendly climate in Florida’s Palm Beach County. And they’re being welcomed with open arms — officials in Palm Beach recently opened an entire office dedicated to luring finance hot shots down south. “Florida is a state of choice,” said Thalius Hecksher, global development chief for Apex Fund Services, who moved many of his operations to Palm Beach. “It’s organically grown.

We know taxes play a role. But what about freedom? These are the type of individuals that tend to feel they are very capable of managing not just huge amounts of money, but their lives as well. They are not at all likely to take unemployment checks, food stamps, welfare or other goobernment giveaways. And they are probably capable of deciding if they want a really large soda pop of some fatten goose liver. The entire Nanny State idea is for those that are better than the rest of us to decide what is best for us. But what happens when there are folks that feel they are better than the nanny State dictators?

It can work the other way. I was raised in a liberal home, had no clue. Moved to Texas and within a year I was a fire-breathing Reaganite. I am still waiting for my Jewish friends to see the light and realize who their friends really are. And it is not the party of Jesse Jackson.

Demonrats strike again in removing business with their high tax and spend policies. The only exception here is that these firms are not union. If all of Wall Street moved, NYC would have no revenue at all.

Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-S.C.) used President Obama’s own words as a U.S. senator to excoriate him for threatening to veto the ENFORCE the Law Act, which would provide a streamlined system for a house of Congress to the sue the Executive Branch for failing to enforce laws passed by Congress. “How does going from being a senator to a president rewrite the Constitution?” Gowdy asked. Telling House members that he was going to give them a “pop quiz,” Gowdy added, “That may seem unfair to my colleagues on the other side of the aisle, but I’m going to give them a hint:

Latest Estimate of Illegal Alien

The Pew Research Center’s latest estimate of the number of illegal aliens residing in the United States—11.7 million as of March 2012--was less than the approximately 12.5 million people whom the Bureau of Labor Statistics estimated were unemployed in the United States in the average month of 2012. However, it exceeds the approximately 11.46 million people whom BLS says were unemployed in the average month of 2013. Pew released its latest report on the “unauthorized immigrant” population on Sept. 23, 2013. Headlined “Population Decline of Unauthorized Immigrants Stalls, May Have Reversed,” it estimated that the illegal alien

"So yup," she added with her face angled before the wrecked plane and emergency crews. Alex Sink, who was the model for the Democratic congressional candidate of 2014, lost what was supposed to be a slam-dunk victory Tuesday in Florida. She got the slam, but not the dunk, and departs the arena leaving a valuable lesson for her party. The Democrats spent lavishly in the district, which includes St. Petersburg and hugs the coast of the Gulf of Mexico, confident that voters who twice gave majorities to President Obama would respond eagerly to a candidate much like him. There was plenty of money to spread the message. She spent $5.4 million on the race, nearly $1 million

Fertility is the missing chapter in sex education. Sobering facts about women’s declining fertility after their 20s are being withheld from ambitious young women, who are propelled along a career track devised for men. The refusal by public schools’ sex-education programs to acknowledge gender differences is betraying both boys and girls. The genders should be separated for sex counseling. It is absurd to avoid the harsh reality that boys have less to lose from casual serial sex than do girls, who risk pregnancy and whose future fertility can be compromised by disease. Boys need lessons in basic ethics and moral reasoning

Enough already with the Hitler talk. War drums and loose lips are giving the old Austrian paperhanger a bad name. Der fuehrer has held the franchise as “most evil figure in history,” and now excitable politicians and pundits of little imagination are trying to take the title away by putting him in league with mere pikers. Hitler remains unique in his evil. Hillary Clinton, hardly a reasonable facsimile of a student of history (or much of anything else), set the teeth of scholars on edge this week with her comparison of Vladimir Putin to Herr Schickelgruber. Revenge is a powerful engine, and nothing drives human behavior like it. Love, like candy, is dandy, but revenge, like liquor, is quicker, and the effect is longer lasting. The life and times of Bill de Blasio, the new mayor of New York City, reads like a satire from the typewriter of Evelyn Waugh. His Honor could have been a minor character in “Scoop,” Waugh’s classic send-up of newspaper journalism and bungling do-gooders stumbling across the margins of the real world. He’s a perfect fit in the scurvy precincts of Gotham’s radical left-wing politics. Officials closed schools in cities including Chicago, St. Louis and Milwaukee and warned residents to stay indoors and avoid the frigid cold altogether. The forecast is extreme: Wind chills
