60 Minutes Viewers Blast
Swoon Journalist Kroft Lovefest
Interview of Obama and Hillary

NewsBusters, by P.J. Gladnick

Original Article

Posted By:KarenJ1, 1/28/2013 10:21:31 AM

So who has cuter dimples? Swoon Journalist Steve Kroft or Mario Lopez? It´s a reasonable question to ask because the Extra host´s interviews of celebs like Angelina and Brad couldn´t have been any more of a puff piece than Kroft´s starry-eyed interview of President Obama and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton on Sunday´s 60 Minutes. A half hour of softballs were gently served up by Kroft who acted as if he were overjoyed to just bask in the glow of his interviewees who ate up almost all the time praising each other.

Comments:
It looks like all the viewers were not impressed with the 0bama/Hillary lovefest. It was absolutely puke inducing.

60 Minutes is nothing more than a spin machine to further its agenda. This has been a fact for years and is simply not worth watching for anything other frivalous cocktail information.

NBC´s David Gregory is annoyed at America for not giving President Obama more credit for saving the economy. During last weekend´s Meet the Press, Gregory insisted that Obama just isn´t getting enough credit for an economy that Gregory feels is "getting better." Paul Bedard calls Gregory´s claim the "mainstream media scream" of the week. During the February 2 broadcast, Gregory wondered why Americans just can´t grasp Obama´s great success. In a discussion with White House chief of staff Denis McDonough, Gregory said, "Do you ever wonder why the President doesn’t get more credit for an economy that is rebounding? What’s the disconnect

For the second time in a week, the nation´s top intelligence chiefs Tuesday issued a scathing assessment of the global threats facing the United States, warning that Syria is becoming a base from which extremist, Al Qaeda-linked groups could attack the U.S. “We are concerned about the use of Syrian territory by the Al Qaeda organization to recruit individuals and develop the capability to be able not just to carry out attacks inside of Syria, but also to use Syria as a launching pad,” said CIA Director John Brennan at a hearing before the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence.

Maintain and refine, maintain and refine. That’s how progressives talk about the welfare state these days. After nearly a century of expanding government with programs like Social Security, Medicaid, and food stamps, suddenly the best the left can come up with are relative stutter-steps like universal pre-K. Liberal Democrats all but concede that Obamacare marked the end of their activist ambitions. Hereafter, we will all take vigorous walks and watch prestige dramas on HBO. But there’s still at least one major social-welfare project the left must see through before anyone considers its mission accomplished. The issue is the vast injustice

The single dumbest controversy of this day, February the Fourth in the year 2014, is that people are mad at someone for daring to use his brain on a quiz show. Yes, Arthur Chu has turned into an overnight celebrity and has received a lot of flak because he had the audacity to go on a quiz show with a strategy planned out beforehand. Eyeing a majority, Senate GOP

Eyeing a new majority, Senate Republicans are seeking to trample the immigration reform blueprint crafted by their counterparts in the House. They are careful not to criticize the substance of the House GOP’s new set of principles by simply saying the chances of crafting a new immigration law this year are remote. Should the thorny debate continue in the months ahead, it could hurt the chances of GOP senators facing primaries and jeopardize the party’s chances of winning the majority in November. Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell (Ky.) said Tuesday that he doesn’t see any way the Democratic-controlled Senate and GOP-led House

NEW YORK — For a stateswoman-celebrity whose public life has been a whirl of black-tie galas and glitzy awards ceremonies, Hillary Rodham Clinton’s event here Tuesday morning was a stark departure. The prospective 2016 presidential candidate came to an East Harlem classroom, sat beneath crayon posters and alphabet letters and urged Hispanic parents to read and sing to their children to help develop their language skills. “Every child — every single child — in our country deserves to have a fair chance to live up to his or her God-given potential,” Clinton said. Not building the pipeline “is unlikely to significantly impact the rate of extraction in the [Canadian] oil sands or the continued demand for heavy crude oil at refineries in the United States,” the department noted in a long-awaited environmental report released January 31st. But the “No Build” option is likely to result in an increased number of oil spills, six more deaths annually, and up to 42 percent higher greenhouse

Here´s some shocking political news from New Jersey, and it has nothing to do with the George Washington Bridge. The news, from philly.com, is that Rep. No big scandal here, though the article notes that Andrews may be under investigation for spending campaign money on a family trip to Scotland (sounds pretty innocent to me). As the commentary around the recent deaths of Nelson Mandela, Amiri Baraka and Pete Seeger made abundantly clear, most of what Americans think they know about capitalism and communism is arrant nonsense. This is not surprising, given our country’s history of Red Scares designed to impress that anti-capitalism is tantamount to treason. In 2014, though, we are too far removed from the Cold War-era threat of thermonuclear annihilation to continue without taking stock of the hype we’ve been made, despite Harry Allen’s famous injunction, to believe. So, here are seven bogus claims people make about communism and capitalism. 1. Only

PORTLAND, Ore. — The Trader Joe´s grocery-store chain has dropped a plan to open a new store in the heart of the city´s historically African-American neighborhood after activists said the development would price black residents out of the area. It said the grocery-store development would "increase the desirability of the neighborhood," for "non-oppressed populations."
