President Barack Obama and, for that matter, most of America seem woefully ignorant about a scandal unfolding at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. As hard as it is to believe, outgoing Administrator Lisa Jackson actually appears to have had agency personnel create a fictitious employee by the name of “Richard Windsor” so that Jackson could appropriate the Windsor’s email address for her own purposes. We’re not talking about some alias to be used for personal correspondence but a totally false identity in whose name official business was allegedly conducted created specifically to

i´m kind of surprised they would have to set up a fake e-mail account to hide any alleged corruption. The Republicans aren´t going to investigate anything anyway and, since the corrupt media is the propaganda arm of the marxist party they have nothing to fear from them either.
absolutely right, #2 and ain´t that a cryin´ shame. most of the time i can hardly bear to read this kind of article but end up doing so and then feeling totally frustrated and disheartened. i was so hopeful when romney ran that we could have some fresh(er) air breathed into washington and much of our former wonderful country. now, i feel I´m just watching it die in front of my very eyes.
This appears to be possibly a scandal that could lead to criminal charges, but this too will pass. We the people are no longer represented in Washington by the House or Senate. The DOJ is a corrupt joke, selectively enforcing the law against only those who appear to be a threat to their and Obama´s agendas.
Since ´Richard Windsor´ was the one that conducted official EPA business as the head of the EPA, all of Lisa Jackson´s current and future pay and benefits should be placed in an escrow account which only Richard Windsor (and not Lisa Jackson) can touch. Ms Jackson should then be prosecuted for violation of acts regarding FOIA and government documentation.
I´ll bet she got a golden parachute retirement package on her way out the door with a signed non disclosure statement so she´ll never be able to discuss it,write a book or whatever.
When you´re a soldier in the war on climate change, the cause trumps anything you did to further the cause. She probably broke dozens of laws if you broke them all down. But like I´ve been saying for 4 years,Obama couldn´t care less about the rule of law and she´ll skip town going her merry way, living off the tax payers.
Obama just said the other day people need to be held accountable for their actions. This excludes her of course.
the person taking her place could be just as bad. This ugy has a history of being an animal nut so he could use them as an excuse to kill pollution.
#4, yep. I agree, it is hard to try and remain positive when everyday you are bombarded with stories that affirm what you are feeling. To watch your beloved country on this downward spiral is demoralizing. The worst part is the hopelessness that comes with knowing that not only is this the most lawless administration but no one has the courage to hold them accountable.
Nothing surprises anymore. Thank goodness for this brave whistleblower and Mr. Horner because we deserve the truth. Par for the course and undoubtedly a very small tip of the iceberg with this administration.
Hey, remember the 2 million or so emails then VP Algore was required to produce? Turned out they were all accidentally erased, including back-up copies at the National Archive. These crooks just refined the scam.
Is this the "Shadow Government" our liberals kept wailing about during Dick Cheney´s stay in the "undisclosed location?" Could it be that Lisa had "undisclosed reasons" for communicating with businesses her evil bureaucracy oversees, such as bribes and kickbacks, ala Jesse Jerkson style? Hmmmmm... now wouldn´t that be "unique" for a black Democrat? /s
I agree with #2 and #16. This is not a one of a kind happening. My guess, and I´ll wager a pretty good one, is that this kind of shananigan is going on in other of the Obama administration. To see if Richard Windsor is collecting, I suggest that look for a SSN for him, Federal Income Tax returns, registered autos, travel tickets and hotel, resort and cruise line reservations. A parking assignment at EPA and an facitlity entry ID and badge. Was there ever a security check on "it" and what was his clearance level???? Again, my wager is that there are many other "Richard Windsor" types in the administration save orgs like CIA,NSA,FBI,CID et alia. In their cases, it is a real person who is using an alias as a need for his class of work.
The problem with a story like this is that the whistleblower is unknown, and as such, no one is going to investigate this. Even if it comes up to an administraton official, they will deny that ´Richard Windson´ exists. Or that any such thing could/would happen the this admisistration. After all, this is the most transparant administration in the history of the U.S./s
Agree with all the posts, but with the slight objection that it isn´t the House and Senate it is the Parties that are representing their own interests and not ours. The House and Senate stand ready, willing, and able under the Constitution to do their duty, but corruption by the Parties have caused us all harm.
I have said already million times, this is not the cabal of ideologues, but cabal of thugs. They seized the power to run this country like mafia runs businesses. The only thing that prevents them to do so is the remains of democracy. Otherwise the lawlessness would reach the levels of china/russia/cuba/venezuela or some african dictatorship. But with obozo´s "Justice" department and with the help of alphabet agencies we are not that far from there.
Oh come on. Do you really think these Marxists are going to reveal anything or obey the law? The Executive Branch is a communist party operation, period. They are dismantling the representative republic and will have completely dismantled by 2014. The House and Senate are irrelevant because they´ve chosen to be. The Fourth Estate is 98 percent Marxist. The courts are 51% tyranny based so of course they all have fake e-mails and so what if they get caught. They´ll make up new ones, force the outing of the whistleblower whose life will soon be destroyed. Have you read Rules for Radicals? Why does news like this surprise. Expect this and much, much worse every single day.
A pro forma question in every hearing conducted under oath of each high-ranking Administration hack should be: Have you, while in your position, ever conducted correspondence in any email account under a name not your own?
Sarah Palin is keeping up the infomercial peddler charge against President Barack Obama, criticizing his “ShamWow” speech in Boston and accusing him of lying to the American people. (Snip) “For starters we anticipated a presidential apology for lying to Americans repeatedly when he promised things like, ‘If you like your current health care plan, you can keep it.’ Make no mistake, he knew he was lying when he said that,” Palin wrote. “Was remorse and sympathy shown for Americans who now can’t afford health insurance thanks to Obamacare? Nope. … Obama didn’t lie to you when he said, ‘if you
Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin said she would be "disappointed" in the American electorate if Hillary Clinton becomes a serious candidate for president in 2016. The 2008 GOP vice presidential nominee argued Clinton would not be right for the role as commander in chief after four Americans, including the U.S. ambassador to Libya, died last year in a terrorist attack against a U.S. consulate in Benghazi. (Snip) She said "anyone who would just throw away 200 years of military ethos and leave our men behind to be murdered" should "never be considered as a commander in chief."
Americans who are fed up with Obamacare won a victory yesterday. The House voted to defund Obamacare while still funding the federal government to avoid a “devastating” shutdown. (I shall not digress, but it’s beyond distressing to hear liberals try to convince Americans that any government slowdown is comparable to “terrorism.”) (Snip) I want no pity. I need no empathy. But use me as a barometer. Over the years, the leftwing media has falsely and irrationally accused me of everything from faking a pregnancy to abetting murder. They lie. Deal with it.
Now we can say it without a doubt: Seattle has the loudest fans in the world. During the Seahawks-49ers game Sunday, the 12th Man broke the Guinness World Record for loudest crowd roar, the record attempt’s organizer said. We have yet to officially confirm the report from former Seahawks player Joe Tafoya, but he tweeted from the field that the record had been broken. Seahawks fans hit 131.9 decibels, according to The Seattle Times, after the Seahawks and 49ers returned to the field from a weather delay. The previous record was 131.76 decibels, set during a 2011 soccer match at
It was an overcast, albeit relatively mild August day by Washington D.C. standards, fifty years ago today, as I joined the thousands walking along Constitution Avenue toward the Lincoln Memorial. Many of those in the crowd who had traveled vast distances by busses and cars from all over the nation, but in particular the deep South, had a look of apprehension bordering on fear, not knowing what to expect from the police and those vehemently opposed to unfettered civil rights. Despite the trepidation and regardless of skin color, nationality or faith all were determined to compel the nation to listen
Sarah Palin joined Eric Bolling on Fox News this morning to take a mini-victory lap over some Democrats suddenly embracing the idea she put forth years ago over health care “death panels.” Palin felt somewhat vindicated, but didn’t want to “condone them… for trying to jump off the Obama train wreck.” She told Bolling that rationing was in the health care law from the beginning, and the Democrats who didn’t notice it until now did not want to look like “buffoons.” (Snip) Palin proudly declared her allegiance to Team Rand, hitting Christie for his “schtick” of “set-up situations”
Back in September of 2008, Sarah Palin spoke at a Colorado Springs rally. During her address, she lamented the all-encompassing power of government sponsored mortgage giants Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. (Snip) She was, of course, pilloried for this. Virtually every mainstream media outlet pounced, accused her of ignorance, and reminded the American people that these were not taxpayer funded entities. Taxpayers simply weren’t a factor.
Sarah Palin: We show what happened, back in 2008, I believe that´s when it started, when the media decided to just go along to get along with Obama, ingratiating themselves with him and vice versa. What we saw was these attempts to destroy these whistleblowers, those who were telling the truth, even in the campaign. (Snip) In the campaign, Greta, this is important for Americans to understand. I was not allowed to talk about things like that because those elitists, those who are the brainiacs in the GOP machine running John McCain´s campaign at the time said that the media
Sarah Palin joined Greta Van Susteren on Friday night to slam President Obama for the comment during his big economic speech that Washington’s too obsessed with “phony scandals.” Palin wanted to know exactly which scandals the president was referring to as “phony,” and held up a “redneck version” of Karl Rove‘s classic white boards to remind viewers of all the scandals currently plaguing Obama, from Benghazi to NSA snooping, asking in disbelief if he’s really dismissing all of them as “phony.”(Snip) She told Van Susteren she was “banned” from talking about Wright and Bill Ayers because the Republican “elitists”
Mark Levin: You know, ladies and gentlemen, I hate to say this, but it´s right in front of our faces. Obviously, John Boehner does not want to get to the bottom of what took place in Benghazi. It´s obvious. He´s been asked over and over again by a majority of the Republicans in the House to set up a special investigative committee as is the tradition in these types of investigations. So you concentrate expertise and resources and time in one special committee rather than multiple committees that are also investigating
Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin (R) is bashing Sen. Mark Begich (D-Alaska), responding to Begich´s Wednesday comments that he hadn´t seen her much in Alaska recently. "Really, Mark? Really?" Palin opens in a Facebook post Thursday morning. "Mark, after looking at your voting record I can see why you are looking for a distraction. You have voted FOR Obamacare, FOR massive tax increases, FOR carbon taxes which could cost Alaskans 21,000 jobs, AGAINST pro-life
South Carolina’s fledgling William Wallace Caucus might suggest a prototype. She might need a council of advisers (“elders”) like John Brown’s Secret Committee of Six, which included Yankee crusader Theodore Parker and the husband of Julia Ward Howe (author of "Battle Hymn of the Republic"). Others to include: obviously her husband, Todd; and Franklin Graham, Christian evangelist; Texas Gov. Rick Perry, Texas Sen. Ted Cruz, Kansas Gov. Sam Brownback and maybe the venerable Judge Andrew Napolitano. She also needs a major celebratory event (think Woodstock for American revolutionaries) — I’d suggested a Tea Party Congress
More young men in California rise in pitch at the end of their sentences when talking, new research shows. This process is known as "uptalk" or "valleygirl speak" and has in the past been associated with young females, typically from California or Australia. But now a team says that this way of speaking is becoming more frequent among men.The findings were presented at the Meeting of the Acoustical Society of America in California. "We found use of uptalk in all of our speakers, despite their diverse backgrounds in socioeconomic status, ethnicity, bilingualism and gender," said Amanda Ritchart, a linguist at the University of
The question all week long was this: Who are you going to believe, an illegal alien or the president of the United States of America? Obviously, if it’s a president who once went by an alias, Barry Soetoro, you go with Uncle Omar, 100 percent, no questions asked. And so it was that the White House finally admitted to another, uh, misstatement — despite previous denials, Barack/Barry did sleep on his beloved Uncle Omar’s couch in Cambridge when he first moved here to attend Harvard Law School (speaking of which, we’re still waiting to see the president’s grades and his LSAT scores). But the
DAVID CORN: I saw a president who remains frustrated with the political-media culture that he has to work within, and that he´s looking to rally people, students here, and supporters, and people within the media. CHRIS MATTHEWS: But David Corn, you skeptic. He came to us today. He came amongst us. CORN: He´s trying to rally people behind this vision that he´s been promoting for a couple years. FINEMAN: By the way, he did it the end here, today, Chris, not by defending specifics, but by explaining why he´s in the game to begin with. And I don´t know about you, he´s
The most curious thing of all about the November jobs report released on Friday was the huge drop in the unemployment rate — and the fact that the Labor Department chose not to disclose that the data going into that figure are under investigation for falsification. On Nov. 19, I broke the news in my column that the Census Bureau, which collects data that goes into the jobless rate on behalf of Labor, had caught one of its enumerators fabricating interviews in 2010. The culprit said back then (and to me during an interview) that he was told to do so by
How do you get your arms around the catastrophe known as Obamacare? Is it even possible? At this point, I’m not sure it is. The list of individual disasters which threaten to ruin one-sixth of the U.S. economy and what has been, up until now, the best healthcare system in the world is exhaustive, and exhausting. The examples I will identify here barely scratch the surface. First but by no means foremost, we have the supposedly new and improved HealthCare.gov. Except it’s not, even the visible part. Stories still abound of people still failing to get in or to get through the enrollment
Denver - A baker who refused to make a wedding cake for a same-sex ceremony must serve gay couples despite his religious beliefs or face fines, a judge said Friday. The order from administrative law judge Robert N. Spencer said Masterpiece Cakeshop in suburban Denver discriminated against a couple "because of their sexual orientation by refusing to sell them a wedding cake for their same-sex marriage." The order says the cake-maker must "cease and desist from discriminating" against gay couples. Although the judge did not impose fines in this case, the business will face penalties if it continues to turn away gay

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has announced a new five-year strategic plan to improve safety for elderly drivers and passengers. Although they are statistically among the safest on the road, the number of older drivers is increasing dramatically — and with it, that group´s numbers of injuries and deaths. Since 2003, the population of older adults, defined as age 65 and older, has increased by 20% and the number of licensed older drivers increased by 21% to 35 million in 2012, according to NHTSA. Last year, NHTSA reported that 5,560 people older than 65 died and 214,000 were injured
Former President Bill Clinton shared an anecdote regarding Nelson Mandela and the aftermath of his impeachment Friday on CNN. Clinton revealed shortly after the “impeachment business” finished on Capitol Hill, Rep. Henry Hyde (R., Ill.) who managed the impeachment trial requested a meeting at the White House. The former president granted the meeting out of lessons of humility and forgiveness he learned from Mandela, he said: BILL CLINTON: I remember one day, oh, about a month after the whole impeachment business was over, Henry Hyde, who had run the whole show, unbelievably enough, maybe a few months after, it was
One definition of a pathological liar is someone who lies where the truth would serve just as well. When President Obama’s uncle, Onyango Obama, was arrested in 2011 for drunk driving, the truth — that Obama had stayed with his uncle years earlier for several weeks as a Harvard law student — would have served the president just fine. No potential Obama voter would have held it against him that an uncle he had stayed with two decades earlier was picked up for DUI. Yet the White House went with a lie, claiming that Obama had never met his uncle. Now that
Although the jobless rate in November fell to its lowest level since he took office, President Obama called on Republican lawmakers Saturday to spend tens of billions on unemployment benefits that are set to expire this month. “It shouldn’t be a partisan issue,” Mr. Obama said in his weekly address. But he said the “economic lifeline” is in jeopardy. “All because Republicans in this Congress — which is on track to be the most unproductive in history — have so far refused to extend it” Mr. Obama said. If Congress doesn’t act before lawmakers leave on their holiday break, about
Barack Obama did not tell the whole story this autumn when he tried to make the case that Bashar al-Assad was responsible for the chemical weapons attack near Damascus on 21 August. In some instances, he omitted important intelligence, and in others he presented assumptions as facts. Most significant, he failed to acknowledge something known to the US intelligence community: that the Syrian army is not the only party in the country’s civil war with access to sarin, the nerve agent that a UN study concluded – without assessing responsibility – had been used in the rocket attack. In the months before the attack,
