Barack Obama looks bitter, arrogant and
partisan as he begins his second term

Telegraph [UK], by Nile Gardiner

Original Article

The liberal New Republic, which is periodically described as the in-flight magazine on Air Force One for Democratic presidents, has just released the transcript of an interview with Barack Obama as he looks ahead to the next four years.[Snip]It paints a portrait of a president, in his own words, who appears deeply partisan, sneeringly dismissive of his political opponents, bitterly angry at his adversaries for standing in the way on issues such as the budget, and completely lacking in any humility. If this is Obama at the start of his second term, one can only imagine what he´ll be like

Bitterly clinging to his policies and diktats, copied from those which have failed and are failing in the UK and Europe.

Not just him. His supporters are nasty and arrogant and hyperpartisan. I´ve never seen such poor winners. It goes beyond gloating into the downright rude. AND they are doing this in unison. How does that happen?

I skimmed the article in the New Republic and there seemed to be a great deal of bloviating (as usual). I can faintly hear the theme from ValJar that he just has not explained his agenda so that normal stupid Americans can understand it. Meanwhile the Obama for Advancing America Forward to Communism team is waiting in the wings to be unleashed. This W.H. seems to think that all it takes is the correct dose of Propaganda and all will be achieved. How rock bottom foolish is that?

Re: "Barack Obama’s imperial tone is badly out of tune with the pessimistic mood of the country, and does not augur well for the next four years."

The country´s pessimism will only going get worse as all of Obama´s first and second term policies and regulations reduce our living standards, eliminate jobs and create enormous resentment between those who receive welfare and those struggling to survive on their reduced paychecks. Perversely, more we decline domestically and internationally, the more that we will see and hear of the Obamas, stoking further resentment and pessimism. Today´s laughable story on Obama´s skeet shooting at Camp David will be followed by tales of his hunting exploits, his skinning of deer, his mountain climbing, Kenyan safaris and sky diving. He will surely be the most accomplished, most rugged bisexual to ever occupy the WH.

I´ll be in the minority with this view, but here goes: I think he´s increasingly bitter and hostile because he didn´t want to be re-elected. Lord knows he gave plenty of cues, offering up so many sound bites for the GOP to use against him that I could conclude only that he was either entirely clueless or was intentionally trying to get fired. I think it´s the latter. Being president is real work (not that he shows that) and people outside the kingdom of D.C. actually expect you have, you know, a plan and stuff. To constantly take a defensive tone, to pick issues that are instantly divisive ... yes, it´s arrogant, but it also suggests someone who´s saying, "Don´t you get it, people? I suck at this!" At least he may have stumbled on a way to eventually unite the country: make such stupid decisions and attacks that everyone, including all of Congress, ends up hating him by 2016.

In the New Republic article….”..The House Republican majority is made up mostly of members who are in sharply gerrymandered districts that are very safely Republican…”

Gerrymandered because the liberals have insisted that there be districts so heavily black that a black congressman was a certainty. That was originally because it was it was said by blacks they could only be represented by persons of their own color. Gerrymandered black districts result in ‘gerrymandered’ white districts by default.

The man has set himself up as god since he first entered the picture and has had the praises of 95% of the media. His life is a mockery against God. But I take tremendous comfort in the Bible passage: "Be not deceived; God is not mocked. For whatsoever a man sows, that will he also reap." I wait, O Lord, for your judgment against this abomination.

#15, I had similar thoughts. My conjecture was that the Mooch wanted Obama to go for a second term and he had had enough. That, I suspected, caused a tantrum resulting in that notoriously expensive European tour with her friends while Obama was left to celebrate his birthday with his friends. ("See? I don´t need you--I can have lunch with a king and queen whenever I feel like it.")

Yet all I heard was that she had done a wonderful job, etc. WHY are Republicans such fools? Remember when McCaine refused to use the middle name Hussein? Obama is the product of a low IQ,low common sense electorate, who´s more interested in obama as a celebrity than president.

Unemployed liberals think it´s just a matter of time before Obama gets around to creating a dream job for them.In the meantime, they´ll just lounge around the folks house, eat their food and burn their electric.

I´d love to know how many parents can´t get their lazy assed kids out of the house to look for a job. The convenient excuse is there´s none out there.

Jobs have never been easy to find and employers aren´t going to knock on your door.

The left is laying the groundwork to write a new constitution in the next several years. If you want to know what it would look like read kenya´s new one which is pure utopianism.Of course it´s totally impracticable in a backward country like that but it exposes their mindset.

The president opened up his big speech with a justification for spying on the British. Don´t worry. It was a reference to the war of independence and Paul Revere. [Snip] He said the collection of bulk data must go on; it hadn´t been abused but it was understandable why it led to disquiet. So he was ending it in its current form--without spelling out what replaces it. He seems to have to rejected one suggestion--that the internet and phone companies should hold on to the data themselves--and has given the attorney general and the NSA 60 days to find a

President Barack Obama has said he will not let controversial surveillance by US intelligence services undermine Washington´s ties with Germany. Born and living in South Carolina, some college-bound students are being charged out-of-state tuition based on their parents’ immigration status, a practice that some civil rights groups say is illegal. The Southern Poverty Law Center is taking note of how often U.S.-born students with undocumented parents are being charged, in some cases triple the tuition rate at South Carolina colleges and universities. [Snip] Grooms, who sponsored a major immigration-reform bill two years ago, said the tuition issue comes down to fairness. “I think the policy should be the same if your parents are from Texas or from Mexico,”

On Friday, New York Governor Andrew Cuomo (D), who has been widely discussed as a possible 2016 presidential candidate, told Susan Arbetter of The Capitol Pressroom that “extreme conservatives” should leave the state. He said that “extreme conservatives who are right-to-life, pro-assault-weapon, anti-gay” have “no place in the state of New York.” He began by ripping into the Tea Party

This week’s Time magazine splashes the question on its cover: “Can Anyone Stop Hillary?” The Weekly Standard is happy to provide our friends at Time with an answer to their query: Yes. Hillary Clinton can be stopped. How? Let us count the ways. The easiest way Hillary can be stopped is if she stops herself. She can choose not to run. Indeed, Time reports “on good authority” that “Hillary Clinton has not decided whether to run for president again.” There is a reasonable chance she’ll decide not to. She’s an intelligent woman. She remembers that her last experience of running

On the Sunday afternoon before Thanksgiving, Barack Obama sat in the office cabin of Air Force One wearing a look of heavy-lidded annoyance. The Affordable Care Act, his signature domestic achievement and, for all its limitations, the most ambitious social legislation since the Great Society, half a century ago, was in jeopardy. His approval rating was down to forty per cent—lower than George W. Bush’s in December of 2005, when Bush admitted that the decision to invade Iraq had been based on intelligence that “turned out to be wrong.” Also, Obama said thickly, “I’ve got a fat lip.” That morning,

Gov. Cuomo has a message for conservative Republicans — you don’t belong in New York. Cuomo said Friday that members of the GOP with “extreme” views are creating an identity crisis for their party and represent a bigger worry than Democrats such as himself. “Their problem isn’t me and the Democrats; their problem is themselves,” the governor said on Albany’s The Capitol Pressroom radio show. “Who are they? Right to life, pro-assault weapons, anti-gay — if that’s who they are, they have no place in the state of New York because that’s not who New Yorkers are.”

Late Thursday afternoon, the Senate passed a $1.1 trillion spending measure that´s best described as a fix -- fix, as in an act of Republican perfidy and chicanery. The process was rigged by Speaker Boehner and Senate Minority Leader McConnell (doubtless with a wink and a nod from Harry Reid) to push through the gargantuan spending measure while giving House and Senate Republicans cover on ObamaCare funding. The bill was an incomprehensible 1,582 pages. Here´s how it worked. House Republicans passed the spending bill with a provision to strip funding from ObamaCare. In the Senate, Harry Reid used rules to

A federal commission rejected three states’ requests to ask voters for proof of citizenship, issuing a complex decision Friday that said it’s up to the national government, not the states, to decide what to include on registration forms. Under the motor-voter law, federal officials distribute voter-registration forms in all of the states. Arizona, Kansas and Georgia all asked that those forms request proof of citizenship, but the federal Election Assistance Commission rejected that in a 46-page ruling. The EAC said states can check driver’s license databases or ask federal immigration authorities for information, but they cannot tell the federal government

Wendy Davis has made her personal story of struggle and success a centerpiece of her campaign to become the first Democrat elected governor of Texas in almost a quarter-century.While her state Senate filibuster last year captured national attention, it is her biography — a divorced teenage mother living in a trailer who earned her way to Harvard and political achievement — that her team is using to attract voters and boost fundraising. The basic elements of the narrative are true, but the full story of Davis’ life is more complicated, as often happens when public figures aim to define themselves. A recent conversation with a veteran of GOP presidential campaigns raised this question: Which, if any, of the recent battleground states are likely to become more Republican by 2016? The consensus: very few. That reality highlights one problem Republicans face as they seek to regain the White House after six years under President Obama. Lots of factors affect elections: the quality of the candidates, the state of the economy, the effectiveness of the campaigns. But in a country whose demographics continue to change, Republicans will begin this campaign with one significant disadvantage. Over the past three decades, the political leanings of

An 11-year-old guitar prodigy from Nebraska stopped by Fox and Friends this morning to do some live shredding in the studio. The world found about Aidan Fisher´s amazing talents after he was invited up on stage at a Steel Panther concert in Kansas City. The band´s guitarist, Satchel, actually met Fisher and his dad at a hotel before the show. Fisher had already planned to go to the concert with a sign challenging Satchel to an on-stage solo duel. What the kid did next amazed the band and the crowd as Fisher did a pretty spot-on Eddie Van Halen impression,

A bipartisan Senate intelligence committee report on Benghazi was released this week, which placed blame on the State Department and intelligence agencies for the failures that led to the death of four Americans on Sept. 11, 2012. Discussing the report’s findings with Piers Morgan, Sen. John McCain laid into the State Department and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton for their mishandling of the situation—but that’s when things took a rather unusual turn. Morgan actually attempted to deflect some of the blame to Ambassador Chris Stevens, who was killed during the attack:
