I never heard of Plunket´s fable. The quotes are beautiful and apt to our situation.
Obama has created a disaster both in our country and in the world. His winning of the election. the adulation of his followers and of the media has caused his opponents to doubt their ability to resist him and they have backed off. Perhaps they are waiting, as I am, for the situation to get even worse and for more people to wake up to what is happening.
This is not the fault of those of us who always saw through Obama. Have courage. There are signs that even some reporters are opening their eyes.

I don´t know how it changes the analogy, but there was more to the change in plans for the invasion of the Philippines. Admiral Koga´s planes crashed in the central Philippines and his plans fell into the hands of Philippine guerillas who sent them on to MacArthur.

We have a fake POTUS with a fake resume and fake birth certificate and fake biography, elected in fake elections with 110% voting and who has never been really vetted by the fake media. The SecState is a faker, pounding the table and crying to cover her incompetence. Her replacement faked his Purple Heart awards in Vietnam, and faked throwing away his medals, and faked the stories about atrocities.
The Dept of Justice faked the enforcement of gun laws to give hundreds of military look rifles to the drug cartels to create a fake epidemic of border violence, with real bodies. The Border Patrol fakes the enforcement of immigration laws. DHS fakes airport security. The Senate fakes the budget process while Treasury prints trillions of fake dollars.

Arguendo, let’s presume that the much-vaunted Toomey-Manchin “compromise” makes it out of the Senate unalloyed, and then that it then passes the House with nary a squeak from the right. Let’s then postulate that a majority agrees with the president that expanding background checks is a “reasonable” thing to do — redolent of “a commonsense approach” — and that those of us with the temerity to oppose it will be widely painted as “extremists.”
