Just an hour before Memphis Mayor A C Wharton unveiled a plan on Friday to attack gun use by teenagers, two teenagers were wounded in a gun battle in the parking lot of the Westwood Community Center in southwest Memphis. "Enough is enough," said Wharton, who had made a similar protest when he appeared at Westwood in September to condemn a killing at the same community center. Because most of these violent offenders are what color????? What race???? SURE there are some white but more times out of any when you read the names of the people involved what color are they? Wake up folks. If you let them have your guns we will be running from these people like in Africa...and to save bullets there they give the gangs and thugs machettes. Why haven´t they posted more "No Gun" signs? I think some new Laws may be in order...First, Outlaw schools..if you truly want to end school shootings you must stop it at the source. Next, outlaw teenagers. Just pass a mandate that counting jumps from 12 straight to 20.(or perhaps 12 needs to last eight years...better get a reading from Legal on that)

The mayor noticed there´s a lot of violence going on. Must have just gotten cable TV. Or started taking the newspaper.

FTA: "There are too many doggone guns on our streets," the mayor said Friday.

Guns. Too many guns says the mayor.

But -- cops with guns were sent to the school.

FTA: "You´re going to see more patrols," said [police director] Armstrong. "You´re going to see more two-man cars...."

But -- more patrols means more guns. Two-man cars mean more guns.

How do I tell which guns are "bad" guns and which guns are "good" guns?

Lock the mothers up with the feral youth.
Change the laws for juveniles, put their behinds in prison and let older criminals have at them.

Given the situation, when they take guns from law abiding citizens, they will have no defense against criminals.

Please note that politicians will be exempt from new gun laws just like Zippycare.

The article referenced a Crip... so assuming the targeted area is black, expect the NAACP & ACLU to shut him down.

The only way to reduce gun crime is to increase sentence guidelines & make them mandatory... ie., no sliding out free with a slick atty.

Recent research indicates that the number of people who do not consider themselves a part of an organized religion is steadily on the rise. Interestingly enough, though the number of those religiously unaffiliated is increasing, there is little to no trend in the number of those who express atheist or agnostic beliefs. People aren’t saying they don’t believe in God. They’re saying they don’t believe in religion. They are not rejecting Christ. They are rejecting the church. This begs the question, “Why are we losing our religion?”

Every month that those would-be workers are gone raises the odds that they might never come back, dimming the prospects for future economic growth. But then came Friday’s jobs report, and hopes were dashed. The Labor Department reported that the U.S. labor force — everyone who has a job or is looking for one — shrank
