| SAN FRANCISCO — San Francisco city officials preparing for the 49ers’ Super Bowl game against the Baltimore Ravens are hoping to avoid a repeat of the violence and vandalism that marred World Series celebrations last year. A total of 36 people were arrested during post-game celebrations in October after the San Francisco Giants’ World Series victory against the Detroit Tigers, 23 of them for felonies. Celebrants lit a number of bonfires in the middle of Mission Street, broke windows and, in one notorious incident, set a Muni 8X-Bayshore Express bus on fire at Market and Kearny streets.

What kind of person thinks it is okay to celebrate by destroying property that does not belong to them? This goes for the NCAA basketball tourney too. I don´t understand. I am not a drinker so maybe that´s it.

40 years of Leftists killing the concept of personal responsibility, and of license replacing liberty [and as we know, San Francisco takes license to depths and places we´d rather not know!], won´t be cured by arresting a few out of hundreds [thousands?].
The proper answer, because civil order is in fat at risk, is for the city to budget for restocking a fair number of shotgun shells.
#1: There´s no connection between a "big game" or a championship and such rioting. The rioting, looting, stealing, and lawlessness are the goal, always a hair´s-breadth away. The "celebration as trigger" is a handy excuse.

I hope both teams lose and I will NOT be watching this Harbaughable match up. These week teams keep sneaking into the Super Bowl. They need to rethink the wildcard situation. The unemployment rate, because of a terrible statistic, is down to 7.6%. The number of people in this country who are not working is shameful. Ninety million Americans are no longer in the workforce.
