Women poor fit for fight

President Obama, in dogged pursuit of his liberal Nirvana, is free to lift the ban on women serving in combat positions. He is, alas, unable to repeal the laws of nature, physics or gravity. Ask a combat veteran you know how he would have felt knowing that, after being wounded in combat, the only person around to pick him up and carry him to safety was a 5-foot-3, 120-pound woman. Ask any active duty serviceman how he’d feel knowing that, as he lay on the ground bleeding, the only thing between him and a cave-hardened Tali-ban killer

Would somebody please ask our Marxist Messiah if this means when we get in a serious conflict will he draft women into the military and force them into direct combat role. Just to see how far he can push the American people. That´s one step in the "choice" game to far. Of course no one will ask.

Yup - - I think that´ll be the next leftist wet dream.

My son is in the military. They routinely have to carry tired females backpacks and assist them at the end of exercises because they can´t finish the obstacle courses with out their help.

So, BO & Panetta want my son to choose between assisting lagging females and endangering himself or getting the job done and leaving her behind. Creeps in government.

Have we forgotten that the whole purpose of war is to benefit or protect the only source of our existence, the women? Killing women in war is defeating the purpose of war. A society cannot exist without a constant supply of replacement people and the only source is women. You can kill off 90% of the men and there´s no loss to the existence of the group. Kill off 20% of the women and your society has some serious existence problems.

As I understand it, throughout the animal kingdom, including humans, most males will protect the females of their species. Humans are also so inclined.

So there are two problems here. The first is that males might be distracted from their duties to protect the female soldiers. And even if women were still allowed in combat, they would be treated in most evil ways, if captured. (a female military pilot was captured in iraq, and was repeatedly raped by her captors over a long period of time.)
This is just one more step on the road to national insanity. And the feminists who have pushed for this? They will not provide daughters for the military, in most cases...

This is all for naught because the Muzlims will be offended by female soldiers, and we certainly can´t offend them.

In the Arab world throwing a shoe is considered an insult, and George W. Bush famously had one hurled at him during a Baghdad press conference in 2008. Less explicable was the pump thrown at Hillary Clinton last week during a speech at a Las Vegas casino. "Is that somebody throwing something at me? Is that part of Cirque du Soleil?" Mrs. Clinton quipped after dodging the projectile. "My goodness, I didn´t know that solid waste management was so controversial." Mrs. Clinton ought to pay a visit to New Jersey, but—hold on: solid waste management? Yes, Mrs. Clinton was speaking at the

The missing Malaysia Airlines plane was ´thrown around like a fighter jet´ just after it lost contact with the authorities in a bid to dodge radar, Malaysian military investigators believe. Flight MH370, which disappeared more than a month ago en route to Beijing, is thought to have climbed to heights of 45,000ft - 10,000ft above its normal altitude - before plummeting to just below 5,000ft. The new lead in the investigation comes as the methodical search being carried out in the Indian Ocean continues amid fears that the jet´s black box may have run out of battery. A rapid shift to wind and solar power is needed if the world is to avoid catastrophic global warming, the United Nations warns in a crucial report today. Emissions of greenhouse gases need to be cut by up to 70 per cent before 2050 to control climate change, the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) says. ‘Large-scale changes in energy systems’ are required, with coal power stations to be switched off and replaced by wind and solar. And the transformation needs to be made in the next 15 years or controlling climate change will become increasingly harder and more expensive. The report was published

They’re both qualified, respectful of each other (shocker!), and represent the vast majority of middle America. So what’s not to like about another Clinton/Bush race for 2016? When you mention the prospect of Clinton vs. Bush 2016 a funny thing happens. First, there is the reflexive response: "Oh no, not again. We don´t need more dynastic politics in this country." But upon further reflection, you realize Jeb Bush vs. Hillary Clinton would be a great race and actually good for the country. Let´s review. QUALIFICATIONS—THEY’VE BOTH GOT THEM. Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin blasted President Barack Obama on Saturday for either not understanding or deliberately disrespecting the Constitution. Obama has unilaterally changed immigration, health care, and welfare laws, among others, according to Palin, and she said that he has sent a message with his actions that an elite crew will run the government as they see fit instead of "We the People." She also said there needs to be "new energy" in government instead of more

That´s against the law. But they may well be able to have their marriage blessed in church because that´s only "against the rules" as opposed to illegal. A Nevada cattle rancher appears to have won his week-long battle with the federal government over a controversial cattle roundup that had led to the arrest of several protesters. Cliven Bundy went head to head with the Bureau of Land Management over the removal of hundreds of his cattle from federal land, where the government said they were grazing illegally. Bundy claims his herd of roughly 900 cattle have grazed on the land along the riverbed near Bunkerville, 80 miles northeast of Las Vegas, since 1870 and threatened a "range war" against the BLM on the Bundy Ranch website after one of

The departure of Kathleen Sebelius from President Barack Obama’s cabinet removes a focal point for criticism over Obamacare’s troubled rollout, right at a moment when the White House can blunt attacks with enrollment numbers that exceeded targets. Senate confirmation hearings on the president’s choice to succeed Sebelius as Health and Human Services secretary, budget director Sylvia Mathews Burwell, will give Republicans days of media exposure for their criticism of a program that remains unpopular. Those hearings will now be held months ahead of midterm congressional elections, helping diminish the impact on voters. Sebelius’s departure also addresses demands from some Democrats for a change

LAS VEGAS — The Nevada Republican Party stripped opposition to abortion and gay marriage from its platform Saturday as state convention delegates instead focused on judging fellow Republicans on their worthiness to serve in office and adherence to GOP values. The platform, with few changes, was adopted overwhelmingly as the Las Vegas convention stretched late into the evening. The vote mirrors that of the Clark County GOP, which voted earlier to remove platform language defining marriage as between a man and a woman and statements opposing abortion. As the midterm elections approach and the administration’s incompetence, along with the distaste for the president’s signature ObamaCare legislation, drive the party’s chances down further, the make-believe coalition of opposites may well crumble if the opposition doesn’t blow it. Because you can find anything on the Web, you can easily search and pull up a running clock that tells you just how long, to the second, Barack Obama has been president. It moves in real time. It only feels like it´s speeding up. Constrained by crises over which he has little power to impact events, hemmed in by a divided Congress more interested in scoring points with voters than in legislating, and watching as his potential successor assumes more and more of the political spotlight, Obama may be receding into history more quickly than either he or his aides ever anticipated. It was impossible to listen to the president's speech Thursday
