Frank Lautenberg of New Jersey compared Newark Mayor Cory Booker to one of his disobedient children who needs a spanking, he’s again criticizing the two-term mayor’s job performance. “He’s got a lot of work to do -- a lot of work that should have been done and hasn’t been done,” Lautenberg told National Journal. Lautenberg described Newark as a “city in desperate need of attention,” adding that “maybe if the mayor can solidify the fact that he wants to improve Newark by being there, things would be different. But he’s free to do as he wants to do.”

Cory Booker must not drink the same flavor of koolade. N.J. has a Republican bashing Obama kissing Gov., a Senator who seeks children for sex, and the old coot who smells of mothballs and cheap booze. Wow. Armpit can´t begin to describe NJ. My Better Half fled from there in his 20ies and has almost become a Southerner. His accent is softer but still gives him away. He said that the unions were killing him with regulations and the politicians were bleeding him and that the crime was on the rise. This was thirty odd years ago. Nothing changes in NJ for the better for long.

RUSH: Folks, I don´t know how else to categorize this. We are living in a dying country. I don´t know how else to categorize what´s happening -- 88,000 new jobs. The unemployment rate, because of a terrible statistic, is down to 7.6%. The number of people in this country who are not working is shameful. Ninety million Americans are no longer in the workforce. Ninety million. People not in the labor force grew by 663,000, and now 90 million. That´s the labor force participation rate. This is 1979 levels.

SANFORD - Trayvon Martin´s parents have settled a wrongful death claim for an amount believed to be more than $1 million against the homeowners association of the Sanford subdivision where their teenage son was killed.
