Mitt Romney will make it to Washington, D.C. for inauguration week after all. The 2012 GOP presidential nominee and his wife Ann are scheduled to attend a luncheon in their honor Friday at Washington´s J.W. Marriott hotel, National Journal reported this afternoon. The reception will be hosted by two of Romney´s biggest campaign fundraisers: Virginia philanthropist Catherine Reynolds and hotel tycoon Bill Marriott, Jr. Romney, a longtime friend to the Marriott family, serves on Marriott International´s board of directors. While on the trail, he and his traveling staff stayed almost exclusively at Marriott hotels.

Ah yes. Country club Republicans should be honored. They have done so much to advance the cause of liberty and responsible government. Ughhh...

This is wonderful news.
It is important to honor a genuine American who would have stopped this decadent decline of the low class AA frauds currently trashing the WH.
Gov Romney and Ann would have been shining examples of love, fidelity and family.
Instead, we have four more years of WH trash and Hollywood fakes.
Beyonce faked the Star Spangled Banner for a fake POTUS.
How many Americans are going to die because of this fraudulent POTUS and his anti American cabal?

Greatness deserves homage which is why we
honor the likes of Wellington, Disraeli,
von Bismarck, TR, Churchill, MacArthur and their like. There is nothing to honor in a loser like Romney because there´s no greatness, and never was. Just a bunch of his cronies having a booze up, which he´s attending.

It´s a testament to vincible ignorance that Romney´s sycophants still haven´t wised up.
He´s not hated because he´s rich; he´s derided because he´s feckless and inept; standing for nothing. The last time our real unemployment rate was 17%+ was 1937; yet doofus Romney couldn´t make his case w/the voters. Conservatives warned repeatedly about this buffoon.

SPRINGFIELD — As the General Assembly heads into its final month of session, House Speaker Michael Madigan said Tuesday that he doesn’t have enough votes lined up yet to extend the state’s income tax increase or raise the minimum wage. The speaker, talking to reporters the day he was easily elected to a fifth term as Illinois Democratic Party chairman, said voting to keep the personal income tax rate at 5 percent instead of letting it fall to 3.75 percent on Jan. 1 will be a “difficult roll call.” “Every person in the legislature is going to be called upon

How often have you heard a Democrat prattle on and on about how well Barack Obama has done with the economy, given the mess he inherited? Usually, it’s some version of, “Things are getting better, but the economy the President started with was so awful, so he’s done as well as anyone could expect.”When Ronald Reagan took over from Jimmy Carter in ’81, things were actually worse economically compared to when Obama took over from George W. Bush in ’08. Consider these three important comparisons of economic indicators, then and now: - Unemployment was at 10.8% versus 7.7% - Inflation (Consumer

Oregon is perhaps the most politically correct of the 50 states, shading even Massachusetts, and Reservoir 5 of the Portland water system is a monument to the work of the weenie bureaucrat. Portland is so straight-laced, in fact, that the daily newspaper refuses to identify the Washington Redskins as the Redskins, lest it offend the native redskins. Newspapers elsewhere, with no sensitivity, report bad news as well as the good — fires, floods, riots and even wars. Sensitivity reigns unchallenged on the banks of

The Garden State has the country´s highest percentage of foreclosures among mortgaged homes -- and that´s just the beginning. Early this year, banking and real-estate analysts concluded that New Jersey had achieved a dubious distinction, passing Florida to become the state with the highest percentage of foreclosure among mortgaged homes, 6.2 percent as calculated by CoreLogic, a leader in real-estate analytics. (That percentage was actually an improvement from a year earlier.) Meanwhile, Florida’s rate dropped to 6 percent from 10.1 percent in 2012, and housing markets around the country are recovering far faster from the Great Recession. New Jersey also

The Obama administration is poised to entertain a flood of new clemency applications from thousands of federal prisoners who were given harsh sentences under mandatory-minimum laws following drug convictions, Attorney General Eric Holder said Monday. Holder said in a short videotaped statement that he wants to shrink the federal prison population by a modest amount while ensuring ´that those who have paid their debts have a chance to become productive citizens.´ At the center of the move is a set of old sentencing rules that punished crack-cocaine offenders with more time behind bars than users or traffickers of powder cocaine.

If Jeb reaches for the nomination, there will be a titanic battle between the party establishment and the Tea Party. Steve Schmidt, McCain’s strategist in 2008, insists that in the end Republicans usually settle on the most electable candidate. To get by, this Bush may be forced to trim his positions, although the cautionary tale of Romney suggests that he would have to tack artfully and carefully for the sake of the general election. There’s a pattern of falsifying statistics throughout the entire Census Bureau. And anyone who attempts to blow the whistle on the fraud is either retaliated against or ignored, according to two new sources who have experienced the process firsthand. As I’ve been writing for more than six months, the Census Bureau office in Philadelphia uncovered a case of fraud in 2010, did nothing about it and allowed the practice to continue. In that instance, a data collector named Julius Buckmon was faking reports that went into the nation’s all-important jobless tally and consumer-inflation survey.
