Hillary on Not Doing Sunday Shows After
9/11/12: ‘There Are Other Things I Prefer

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said the reason that Ambassador to the United Nations Susan Rice went on five Sunday morning television shows in her place following the terrorist attack in Benghazi, Libya was because “there are other things that I prefer to do on Sunday mornings.” Five days following the terrorist attacks on the Benghazi compound, Rice insisted on five separate TV talk shows that the attack sprang from a protest over an obscure anti-Muslim video posted on YouTube, even though the CIA in Libya told Washington within 24 hours that militants were responsible for the attack.

Talk shows may not be Ms. Clinton´s favorite past time, however, she chose to participate in the fictional scenario the administration cooked up.

It was Hillary Clinton who told us about the anti-Islamic video, blaming it´s maker for the deaths of four Americans.

Jeb Bush said Wednesday he´s "thinking about running for president," in his most direct statement yet about a possible 2016 run. The former Florida governor spoke at a Catholic school benefit in New York Wednesday morning. He previously has said he´ll make a decision on whether to run for president before the end of this year, making clear that he was considering the possibility. But his comments on Wednesday appeared to be more direct. Asked what his "immediate plans" were, he said, according to an attendee: "I´m thinking about running for president." The answer was met with applause and a standing ovation, after

The Blaze radio host Glenn Beck revealed on Monday that he deeply regrets giving Mitt Romney the gift he gave him when the former Massachusetts governor ran for president. Beck revealed that he gave Romney a rare, first-edition copy of President George Washington‘s farewell address for which he never even received a thank you. “I was trying to cement in his mind, ‘You have run an honorable race,’” Beck said said, explaining the rationale behind the gift. “‘I don’t agree with you on everything. The film, “The Rise of Al Qaeda,” refers to the terrorists as Islamists who viewed their mission as a jihad. The NBC News anchor Brian Williams, who narrates the film, speaks over images of terrorist training camps and Qaeda attacks spanning decades. Hillary Clinton´s legacy as secretary of state is thin, judging from a press conference Tuesday in which the State Department´s chief spokeswoman couldn´t articulate any of the future presidential candidate´s achievements on the job. She´s not alone, with experts of all political stripes finding it difficult to bolster Clinton´s resume as America´s top diplomat. The former secretary of state herself had trouble articulating any lasting achievements from her tenure, during an April 3 appearance at the Women of the World Summit in New York City. State Department Press Secretary Jen Psaki was flummoxed, too, when asked about a 2010 State Department Quadrennial Diplomacy

WASHINGTON - The Obama administration has officially entered the twilight zone, searching in vain for a new focus in its remaining two and a half years. President Obama has been trying to look busy in recent weeks, giving speeches to rally his dispirited party as he voices new fears that Democrats will not turn out to vote in the midterm congressional elections in November. Apparently, many of them won´t. "Our voters... get excited about general elections," he said at a recent Democratic fundraiser in Houston. "They don´t get excited about midterm elections." The Obama administration is poised to entertain a flood of new clemency applications from thousands of federal prisoners who were given harsh sentences under mandatory-minimum laws following drug convictions, Attorney General Eric Holder said Monday. Holder said in a short videotaped statement that he wants to shrink the federal prison population by a modest amount while ensuring ´that those who have paid their debts have a chance to become productive citizens.´ At the center of the move is a set of old sentencing rules that punished crack-cocaine offenders with more time behind bars than users or traffickers of powder cocaine.

If Jeb reaches for the nomination, there will be a titanic battle between the party establishment and the Tea Party. Steve Schmidt, McCain’s strategist in 2008, insists that in the end Republicans usually settle on the most electable candidate. To get by, this Bush may be forced to trim his positions, although the cautionary tale of Romney suggests that he would have to tack artfully and carefully for the sake of the general election. There’s a pattern of falsifying statistics throughout the entire Census Bureau. And anyone who attempts to blow the whistle on the fraud is either retaliated against or ignored, according to two new sources who have experienced the process firsthand. As I’ve been writing for more than six months, the Census Bureau office in Philadelphia uncovered a case of fraud in 2010, did nothing about it and allowed the practice to continue. In that instance, a data collector named Julius Buckmon was faking reports that went into the nation’s all-important jobless tally and consumer-inflation survey.
