Obama Urged to Resign
Over Beyoncé Scandal

New Yorker Magazine, by Andy Borowitz

Original Article

Posted By:NorthernDog, 1/23/2013 6:56:46 PM

WASHINGTON – A rising chorus of congressional Republicans are calling on President Obama to acknowledge that the pop singer Beyoncé lip-synched during his inaugural festivities on Monday and resign from office, effective immediately. “By lip-synching the national anthem, Beyoncé has cast a dark cloud over the President’s second term,” said Sen. Rand Paul (R-Kentucky). “The only way President Obama can remove that cloud is by resigning from office at once.” While many in the media have blamed Beyoncé for the lip-synching controversy, Mr. Paul said, “We must remember that this happened on President Obama’s watch.”

The whole problem with Obama and the Leftists, including the partisan news media, is determining what is true and what is false. Madame Secretary has simplified this for us by her testimony before the Senate today: what difference, at this point, does it make whether anything the administration says is true or false?

Truth means nothing to Leftists. Ideology is everything. If truth and ideology clash, so much the worse for truth. Ideology is truth.

Beyonce is in a long line of singers who hide their lack of talent behind AutoTune and pre-recorded tracks. As such, she is a perfect metaphor for Barack Obama and his wife.

Keep in mind that Beyonce has a track record of claiming to be Christian while wearing revealing clothing, of accepting money from the Gaddafi family as a fee for a private performance, and of being a spokeswoman for Pepsi, the type of soft drink to which Michelle Obama has been vehemently opposed.

In essence, liberals are not what they appear to be, they will change their shape as required, and they will say whatever suits them in the moment.

I´m wondering, now, why The Bolshevik himself didn´t croon (rap?) the Anthem. He could have replaced Francis Scott Key´s lyrics (so ancient) with his own poetic genius. That thing that he reads his speeches from wouldn´t have obtruded. His fans, the flying monkeys and the black Orcs, would have swooned on command. Maybe next time.

Good 13. As for post 2, the GOP fought like mad over fast and furious. Was it "worth fighting for?" Was the smuggling by obama and holder of thousands of weapons into the hands of the most violent criminals in this hemisphere, who used the guns to murder at least one border agent and hundreds of mexicans "worth fighting for?" Was the coverup by obama, holder and the media, and eventual outrageous claim of executive privilege of F & F documents "worth fighting for?". Please tell me what is "worth fighting for?" After remarks he made at the National Action Network conference this week and various actions on voting rights and equality he’s taken over the past several months, MSNBC’s Melissa Harris-Perry is starting to wonder if Attorney General Eric Holder is “the Obama we had been hoping for.” Even though she admitted it’s not entirely fair to “separate” Holder from President Barack Obama, that’s the question the host posed to her panel Saturday morning. “I think he may be the greatest addition to the entire Obama Administration,” Fordham University’s Christina Greer told Harris-Perry, saying the “foundational work”

KIEV/MOSCOW - Armed separatists took virtual control of a city in eastern Ukraine on Saturday and Kiev prepared troops to deal with what it called an "act of aggression by Russia". Pro-Russian activists carrying automatic weapons seized government buildings in Slaviansk and set up barricades on the outskirts of the city. Official buildings in several neighboring towns were also attacked. The developments have increased concerns of a possible "gas war" that could disrupt energy supplies across the continent. The hope is that such a system will allow Vermont to get costs down closer to Canada’s, as well as improve health by coordinating care and ensuring universal coverage. Let’s put it this way: If my friends and I went out to a bar and started playing a “let’s write the racist FoxNews.com comment thread” drinking game, our efforts couldn’t begin to approach what I read there.I wasn’t alone. Liberal websites started feasting on these threads. And so, a couple of years ago, Ailes & Co. got wise. Stories about race were, at least in my disheartened experience, closed to comments.
