Clinton lashes out at senator over Benghazi questioning

| Secretary of State Hillary Clinton on Wednesday lashed out over the claim that the administration misled Americans about the nature of the Libya terror attack by asserting that it was the result of a protest, raising her voice during a Senate hearing and asking: "What difference, at this point, does it make?" Clinton, in what may be her final set of testimony as secretary, pointedly challenged Republican Wisconsin Sen. Ron Johnson when he claimed the department could have "easily" determined what happened that night by interviewing staffers who were evacuated.

Comments: How dare she say it didn´t make any difference.

I´m glad she was finally made to testify publicly. When she accepted "full responsibility" for the events in Benghazi, Hillary was attending a conference on women´s empowerment (whatever the hell that means) in Lima Peru, so conveniently unavailable for comment. Now she´s on the record.

Hillary was only giving a literal demonstration of the "trial lawyer´s rule":
If you don´t have the facts, pound the law. If you don´t have the law, pound the facts. If you don´t have either the law or the facts ... pound the table.

Can you imagine Hilary as president? I can see the lamps flying and the curse words being hurled...the lack of tact and decorum, the lack of self-control on exhibit today only a hint of what we would see with her as president. I think all her opponent would have to do is play parts of today´s proceedings...no comments necessary...

If piaps screeched, a touchy subject is apparent. On the House side, I hope they keep asking her the same question about the benghazi spin. We´ll see how angry and hysterical she gets.
On a related topic, piaps, who presents herself as a tough minded feminist, chokes up and lashed out during questioning. Apparently, she can’t keep a lid on her girly emotions. Her loss of control suggests she lacks the temperament to be President.

Facing a surging homicide rate and several headline-grabbing murders, Chicago’s top cop is taking aim at lobbyists who he says prevent politicians from implementing more gun control measures. Appearing on a local Windy City Sunday morning talk show on the radio station WLSAM, Police Superintendent Garry McCarthy said special interests that lobby politicians to influence their opinion on gun control are the real problem. “If there was a special interest influencing police work, I believe that would be called corruption,” McCarthy said.

A California school district is defending its decision to name a new elementary school after an infamous murderer – by calling him a hero and a role model to children. The decision has infuriated many parents and law enforcement officers. The Alisal Union School District in Salinas agreed to name the new school in honor of Tiburcio Vasquez – who was eventually hanged for killing at least two people in the nineteenth century. Superintendent John Ramirez defended the board’s decision telling Fox News that one man’s terrorist is another man’s freedom fighter.

The Federal-Postal Coalition -- a group representing more than two dozen federal employee unions -- pleaded with Congress on Monday to spare their members in any deal related to the "fiscal cliff." Federal workers, the coalition wrote in a letter, have contributed more than their fair share toward reducing the debt and are the only group that has been targeted so heavily. “Federal and postal employees and their families are hardworking, middle-class Americans who are struggling during these tough times just like other Americans,” the group wrote.

Washington - In the final week of the U.S. presidential campaign, one advertisement was on heavy rotation in the swing state of Wisconsin. It featured three women named Connie, Kim, and Anita who told viewers the reasons they were switching their support from President Barack Obama to Mitt Romney. The Republican campaign hoped that women throughout America would follow the lead of that trio, but Obama was able to preserve his coalition of female voters en route to winning a second term on Tuesday. Obama beat Romney 55 percent to 43 percent among women, according to

Recent research indicates that the number of people who do not consider themselves a part of an organized religion is steadily on the rise. Interestingly enough, though the number of those religiously unaffiliated is increasing, there is little to no trend in the number of those who express atheist or agnostic beliefs. People aren’t saying they don’t believe in God. They’re saying they don’t believe in religion. They are not rejecting Christ. They are rejecting the church. This begs the question, “Why are we losing our religion?”

Put out an all-points bulletin: Millions of Americans have gone missing from the workforce. Every month that those would-be workers are gone raises the odds that they might never come back, dimming the prospects for future economic growth. The vanishing trend is more than a decade old, but it accelerated during the Great Recession. Throughout 2012, economists held out hope that it had stopped. But then came Friday’s jobs report, and hopes were dashed. The Labor Department reported that the U.S. labor force — everyone who has a job or is looking for one — shrank
