Obama gun view out of

USA Today, by Glenn Harlan Reynolds

Ever since the Sandy Hook shootings, we´ve been hearing that now, at last, it´s time for the National Rifle Association to drop its "extremist" views and accept the sort of gun control that Democrats — and their allies in the press — were pushing long before Sandy Hook. When NRA Executive Vice President Wayne La Pierre proposed armed guards in schools, it was portrayed as evidence of how out-of-touch the organization was. (Snip) But, then again, it turned out that 55% of Americans supported the NRA proposal. Turns out, it was the people calling it crazy —

185 times as many children are murdered every day than the number killed by a mentally deranged man in Newtown. I´d like to see the tools of abortion made illegal. When the time comes that a child is unsafe even in his mother´s womb, it´s sick. Every day is Newtown in the US!

100% immaterial.

What matters is that his views [and his intentions and his official actions] flatly violate the Constitutionally-recognized and protected inalienable rights of Americans as free people to self-defense.

I´m still a bit flabbergasted that literally nobody in *any* media has visited the ´historic fact´ that as president - beloved by liberals one and all - Bill Clinton was the first to propose armed guards in all schools, and in fact started that program while in office - the COPS program.

Guess it´s only reprehensible when somebody other than a liberal suggests it...

And humorously (or not...) what did the 90´s ´Gun Free School Zones´ law do? I believe the correct answer is - ´Advertise adversarial-free shooting galleries´, as that´s certainly the effect it had.

Ya´ gotta´ love politicians. The average 12 year old could produce better results than the combined population of Washington DC.

America is great because of Americans, not because of government. Government sucks because they don´t listen to Americans. Example 8,435, 234: It all started as a science fair project. As a neophyte sixth-grader at Dorseyville Middle School, Suvir noticed he was getting a lot more handouts than he did in elementary school. Interested in applying computer science to promote environmental sustainability, Suvir decided he was going to figure out if there was a better way to minimize the constant flurry of paper and ink. The Environmental Protection Agency says a rule it proposed this week merely clarifies its existing authority over the nation´s waterways. Republicans say it´s "the biggest land grab in the history of the world," as House Appropriations Committee Chairman Hal Rogers, R-Ky., called it. There is some certainty about the EPA´s rule defining the waters of the United States -- the buzz it has generated is not going away any time soon. The EPA, in conjunction with the Army Corps of Engineers, says the proposed rule would clarify which streams, rivers, wetlands and other waterways are within its regulatory jurisdiction. Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker on Thursday signed a measure into law that eliminates absentee voting on weekends ahead of elections but vetoed a provision that restricted weekday voting hours across the state. Wisconsin law allows voters to cast absentee ballots by mail or hand them in to their polling places before election day. Supporters have said the new law creates uniform and fair rules, while critics have said it disenfranchises voters. Walker, a Republican who is seeking re-election, vetoed a part of the bill the majority Republican legislature approved that capped voting at 45 hours per week. Voting will be allowed only

Some lawmakers objected, warning that women and girls could find biological males in their bathrooms, and employers may be exposed to civil rights investigations if they decline to hire a transgender person. Still, the measure easily passed the Democratic-led House of Delegates, 82-57. The “Fairness for All Marylanders Act of 2014” had already passed the Maryland Senate. It now goes to Democratic Gov. If there’s a story about “Transit,” they don’t mean cars. Cars are just solipsistic carbon-barfing capsules that move selfish people around. Transit means communal boxes, preferably on rails. When they talk about transit options, they mean buses (ick!) and bikes (yay!) and streetcars, which are romantic and sustainable and everyone takes them in Europe. As part of its plan to reduce U.S. greenhouse gas emissions, the Obama administration is targeting the dairy industry to reduce methane emissions in their operations. This comes despite falling methane emission levels across the economy since 1990. The White House has proposed cutting methane emissions from the dairy industry by 25 percent by 2020. Although U.S. agriculture only accounts for about 9 percent of the country’s greenhouse gas emissions, according to the Environmental Protection Agency, it makes up a sizeable portion of methane emissions — which is a very potent greenhouse gas.
