Washington – Senator Frank R. Lautenberg (D-N.J.) introduced a bill on Tuesday to ban high-capacity ammunition magazines holding more than 10 rounds, a major element of the gun safety plan announced last week by President Obama. Lautenberg’s bill, substantially the same as one he introduced two years ago, is cosponsored by Sen. Bob Menendez and 15 other Democratic senators. A companion bill has been introduced in the House of Representatives by Rep. Carolyn McCarthy (D-N.Y.), with 48 cosponsors. Lautenberg´s “Large Capacity Ammunition Feeding Device Act” would prohibit the manufacture and sale of ammunition magazines that have a capacity

That´s strange, because pretty much all of the law enforcement types on and around Capitol Hill openly carry firearms fed from 15+ round (Pistols), 30 round (AR carbines), and 50 round (FN PS90 PDW) magazines.

I wonder if anyone in the Elite Media Propaganda Ministry will inquire of Senator Lautenberg and Congresswoman McCarthy if they sincerely believe that "no one needs more than 10 rounds" to defend themselves and their family, then why should law enforcement be subject to the same restriction?

Sen. Lautenberg is the most anti-gun member of Congress. Because of him, if you are convicted of a misdemeanor domestic abuse charge, you can have your guns taken away forever.

Please understand I do not approve of domestic violence. No one should be the victim of a beating by a spouse, or anyone else in the household. However, you can be convicted of a misdemeanor abuse charge if your spouse tells the police they were scared you are about to physically assault them.

The only reason Carolyn McCarthy is a representative is because a racist black man murdered her husband on a NYC commuter train. The only reason he was shot was because Robert DeNiro, Donald Trump, one of the mayor´s bodyguards or one of the thousands of NY residents who have a concealed carry permit, were not on that train. Instead of trying to do something about expanding NY state´s right to carry into NYC, Carolyn comes up with another law that someone like Colin Ferguson will ignore. Leftists are delusional fools or demonic dictators, or both.

A bill to ban clips and magazines that contain over 10 rounds is not going to do any good because there are millions of those devices out there, that can easily be secreted away. This liberal Democrat bill will only create a big time black market for those clips and magazines.

They would be a lot better off enhancing the background check procedures so that dangerous mental cases cannot purchase any sort of firearm. That will also not work totally because mental cases will continue to steal firearms, obtain to get them through straw purchasers and professional gun runners.

As the corruption investigation of former Charlotte Mayor Patrick Cannon went back underground Thursday, a nagging question hung over his embarrassed city: Couldn’t this have been known before he was elected mayor in November? According to an affidavit released this week, the FBI became aware of possible illegal activity of then-City Council member Cannon as early as August 2010. By the time Cannon was sworn as the city’s top elected leader, undercover agents posing as real estate developers had flown him and his wife to Las Vegas and paid him almost $30,000 in bribes, prosecutors say.
