Rep. Charlie Rangel on Guns:
‘Some of the Southern Areas Have
Cultures that We Have to Overcome’

Rep. Charlie Rangel (D-N.Y.), speaking on “MSNBC Live” on Jan. 16 said that “some of the southern areas have cultures that we have to overcome” when it comes to gun control. Rangel was asked by anchor Thomas Roberts whether new gun control measures passed in New York State should serve as models for other states: “If you’re proud of what New York has done, obviously there is not going to be any perfect policy or perfect law that everybody is going to agree on from both sides saying that this is key perfection

Wow. This hateful, incompetent, corrupt old man would be apoplectic if a Republican had even thought of uttering a statement like that about a certain segment of society. These people are no longer humorous, they are dangerous and show their true intentions every single day.

He is a tax fraud and a liar. Even I know that
you CANNOT have any type of business in a rent controlled apt in NYC , and I have never lived there. and I also know you have to pay taxes on income from rental property. Obviously if you are elected to office the rules do not apply to you - the Rangel mandate. ( all my opinion ).
The culture we have to overcome is the corruption of people elected to Government offices.

FTA: obviously there is not going to be any ... perfect law that everybody is going to agree on

Yeah, well, "shall not be infringed" is in fact a principle set by the Founders above law. Everybody had better agree on observing it.

And someone who swore to uphold it to take office had blasted better well do so.

My take on history is that the bill of rights was written partly in order to keep the Southern states a part of the union. If any one of those first ten amendments is no longer upheld, then there is nothing else in the Constitution to keep the south as part of the union.

Charlie ol´ boy - here´s a tip for you...

I grew up in Manhattan - Upper East Side. By sheer luck, my Mother was from SC. I noticed *very* quickly after getting out of college, a person could live *very* well in the South for pennies on the dollar compared to NY city - and in a *far* safer environment.

You´re welcome to your Harlem hell-hole. I watched no end of ´social experiments´ fail to lift that area out of the danger zone, and visits back to the city confirm it´s worse now by far than when I left.

Tell ya´ what, Charlie...ya´ll come on down for a visit. We promise all the cornbread you can eat, and doubtful anyone would bust a cap on you simply for being black.

The South has the quality of life you bozos only dream of up there in your 200 square foot, $1000 a month taxpayer subsidized ghettos.

OK Charlie, it is time to have a conversation about "culture". In fact, it is long overdue.
Exactly WHAT has YOUR culture of corruption and welfare done for America?
You insist on being called African-American, so please tell me WHAT the contributions to the betterment of World culture has the continent of Africa produced.
Single women giving birth over and over with different fathers, insisting that we owe them something, students who drop out of school at sickening rates, uneducated, non-parented wolf cubs who prey on law abiding society..all of them with their hands out..if you think you and your democrat friends are going to attack the Southern "culture" you should just shut up and go away now.
Folks, this is the Obama plan..to make the normal people appear extreme..fight back now!

But the government is not the only American power whose motivations need to be rigourously examined. Some 2,400 miles away from Washington, in Silicon Valley, Google is aggressively gaining power with little to keep it in check.
