David Attenborough - Humans
are plague on Earth

Telegraph [UK], by Louise Gray

Original Article

Posted By:Bill the Cat, 1/22/2013 7:31:51 AM

Humans are a plague on the Earth that need to be controlled by limiting population growth, according to Sir David Attenborough. (snip) “We are a plague on the Earth. It’s coming home to roost over the next 50 years or so. It’s not just climate change; it’s sheer space, places to grow food for this enormous horde. Either we limit our population growth or the natural world will do it for us, and the natural world is doing it for us right now,” he told the Radio Times.

Comments:
Hey Ricky, how about we put to death everyone over the age of...say, 88. Oh, you´re 89. Sorry to see you go. (Well, maybe, not so sorry.)

Tell ya what Dave...you´re right...we should all just jump off a bridge and end it all...you go first!

Isn´t it amazing that old Dave just decided this when HIS LIFE is almost over! Why didn´t he figure it out when he was 30 and then he could have saved the earth by doing himself in right then and there! Hypocrite!

Same thing we heard in the 70´s. When liberals got bored with it they move on to saving whales. Then the rainforest. Then global warming. Now global warming is fizzling out so they´re going back to this. I´m disappointed. I thought for sure they would go from global warming to saving the solar system.

Although they claim to be largely atheist, the left still suffers from the emotional aspects of religiosity. The need to be punished and to find a type of redemptive behavior is so obvious here. When the hard science doesn´t back them up they throw out the science.

They are children and will remain as such.

Yes, David! As the world population explodes, the food and water resources will be depleted. How will it work out? Will a death panel be set up to destroy all those that are not worthy to remain on earth? How will the soon to be dead be selected? Or will there just be a competition to select the hardiest to continue the species?
Or will it just be those that are most liberal with the most green tendencies? Yeah, right!

So if the natural world is doing it for us right now, Sir Genious, then why the hell do we need to spend trillions on global warming and population control?

What a loon!

People like Sir Dave are very eager to propose solutions involving death for groups of people, but they never want to give their own lives for the cause. Why is that?

Perhaps Sir Dave can put some weight behind his statements by offing himself.

He said it himself. The earth by means of natural selection, will take care of any over population, should it actually occur. What Attenborough wants however, is for certain select humans to cull the herd in favor of specific attributes. In other words he, and his fellow liberals, want to play God.

We can easily feed twice as many people as we now have on the same food we currently produce. Just stop throwing food away and cut our calorie intake by about 40%. Everyone would be about the right size for a change and no one would starve.

I´m serious. Have you ever seen how much food just one restaurant throws away every day? How about your own week-old leftovers that you never ate?

But I will agree with David to a certain extent, "some" humans are a plague on Earth. Let me decide who.

It´s said that human experience can be summed up in two sentences:
(1) What harm could it do? .... and
(2) How was I supposed to know?

Starting in 1970, when President Richard Nixon passed the first Title X legislation, the U.S. Government (and that´s just the feds) has spent literally billions of dollars on birth control advocacy, propaganda, indoctrination, drugs, devices, and surgery; authorized (1973) the cool clinical killing of 55 million American children; and is now (2013) requiring us to pay for contraception, sterilization and abortion, to be available to every female of reproductive age, 12-52, from sea to shining sea, subsidized by (ahem) you. You. And me.

And that ain´t Chicken Little.

Meanwhile there´s nowhere near enough people entering the workforce, to pay for the entitlements of the people who are exiting it via unemployment, disability, and retirement.

Same thing in the UK, except they´re 5-10 years ahead of us on each count.

Who´ll collapse first? I guess we´ll see. Attenborough won´t see it, though. Unless they have BBC Down There.

Human beings are not a plague, and there is still room at the inn. It is true nature has taken a break from slaughtering us in the last century, but it will return, with famine and plague, whether we kill one another´s children or not. I say, not. Growing population has been a temptation to wipe out the Other from the dawn of recorded history, cf. Pharaoh. What we face in the near term is the likelihood of a population collapse. And by the way. Supposedly Africa´s population is growing, but is it? Are those numbers drawn from the models?

It is his brother Richard and niece Charlotte who are the actors in the family. In fact if he wants to take nominations of groups of people who should be on the list, I say lets go for the whole entertainment industry and the enviromental wacko movement. That should take off some of the pressure.

If he thinks the earth is bad now, he really needs to read the Book of Revelation. Conditions right now are a picnic compared to what happens when God starts His judgement of all His creation.

Actually, it isn´t WASPs that bought into Zero Population Growth. It is that people who live in a First World Nation type of culture just naturally restrict their own breeding.

As countries up their economies and the education levels of its citizens (especially their females), the population growth rate declines. It´s happening in India, and believe it or not, in the Arab countries.

Before people jump on me, I am a very conservative person and anti liberal.
Humans are, like a virus. We are the only species to be able to change the "balance of nature". Other animals eat what they eat, breed as they can and die when their numbers are not supported by what they require to survive. We as humans have the ability to change the natural order.
The problem is, how does a person react to the above.
I decided to have only 2 children and have seen that was a huge mistake.
I fed, housed, nurtured and educated my children. The have both become in the top 5% of productive society.
In the meantime, the underclass has reproduced with abandon and now out vote those like myself. In the end, our society will be communist and everyone will be underclass, except for the politicians and their few chosen friends.
In reality, if we limit population, we should limit reproductive rights of those that choose to be the non productive

Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer is facing pressure from both sides of a heated debate over religious rights, as she weighs whether to sign a bill that would legally protect businesses that deny services to customers for religious reasons. The bill cleared the Arizona Legislature last week. Opponents are calling the measure “state-sanctioned discrimination” and raising such scenarios as gays being denied restaurant service or medical treatment when a business owner’s religion doesn’t condone homosexuality. The bill updates existing Arizona law on the “exercise of religion” and protects businesses, corporations and people from lawsuits if they deny services based on a

Although the Civil Rights Act, the landmark legislation which just reached its 50th anniversary, made great strides in desegregating the economy, economic discrimination is still widespread, and anti-discrimination legislation alone can never rectify the economic damage inflicted upon blacks by slavery and our Jim Crow apartheid regime. The Civil Rights Act was a mild reform, all things considered, but one conservatives fought with vigor and one many conservatives are still bitter about to this day. When the Civil Rights Act passed in 1964, the primary purpose was to root out discrimination in public accommodations (like hotels and movie theaters)
