Michelle Obama rolls eyes at
John Boehner, sets Internet aflame

Yahoo! News, by Eric Pfeiffer

Original Article

Posted By:NorthernDog, 1/21/2013 8:39:30 PM

Monday’s post-inaugural luncheon was a case study in body language--and nearly all of the physical evidence centered on House Speaker John Boehner. One interaction in particular already became an Internet meme: Michelle Obama rolling her eyes after listening to a comment from the Ohio Republican congressman. Tumblr blogger “Mattyrab” was the first to capture the eye roll in action, sharing video of the exchange in a display described as a “historical moment in shade throwing.” The video has already been shared thousands of times across social media sites with viewers speculating on what sparked the First Lady’s facial expression.

Graceless being, yes. Human is questionable.

Totally classless but we knew that four years ago when she said, "for the first time in her life she was proud of her country."

This is why Boehner is effective. He deeply bothers these people and he´s not easily ostracized, unlike Newt.

I´d heard about it but this is the first time I saw it. There is no explanation other than extreme rudeness from somebody without any class.

She is a first rate...well, nevermind. Rhymes with itch.

I watched it three times. All I saw was a woman shoveling food into her face. Who knows what she was reacting to. There´s enough wrong with this couple already, let´s not try to invent things. The media on both sides want to create controversy. If she did roll her eyes so what. Does that raise your taxes.

What´s more bothersome to me--and to Mrs. Boehner as well, it would appear--is John groveling in pet-me-puppy mode. Maybe he´s trying to get under her skin. who knows, but his wife is having none of it.

#8, her behavior is unsuitable for the First Lady. It doesn´t raise my taxes, but it demeans my country.

I understand that one of the problems with snorting cocaine is that it causes tissue damage in one´s nose. And in extreme cases, the cocaine can actually cause a phole in the septum.
Dead Ted Kennedy, back in the 1970s, was, along with Chris Dodd, known to snort cocaine, and would often fiddle with his nose, almost absentmindedly. I saw that up close and personal, back in 1972. It was an almost involuntary movement.

Gluten-free diets are all the rage, but they can be dangerous if not done right. What is gluten? It´s the spongy complex of proteins, found naturally in wheat, rye, and barley, that gives elasticity to dough and allows it to rise. When flour is moistened and either kneaded or mixed into dough, gluten molecules form an elastic, microscopic latticework that traps the carbon dioxide produced when yeast ferments, causing dough to inflate like a hot air balloon. Baking hardens the gluten, which helps the finished product keep its shape. Wheat — and gluten — is ubiquitous in the American diet.

Recent research indicates that the number of people who do not consider themselves a part of an organized religion is steadily on the rise. Interestingly enough, though the number of those religiously unaffiliated is increasing, there is little to no trend in the number of those who express atheist or agnostic beliefs. People aren’t saying they don’t believe in God. They’re saying they don’t believe in religion. They are not rejecting Christ. They are rejecting the church. This begs the question, “Why are we losing our religion?”

There was growing buzz over the weekend that a bipartisan agreement on gun control — a deal that would expand background checks — could hit the floor as early as this week. However, any deal could be derailed by the looming threat of a Republican filibuster involving Texas Sen. Ted Cruz. With Cruz standing proudly in the way of any gun legislation, Democrats are trying to make him pay a political price — and even a couple of high-profile Republicans are questioning his tactics.
