| WASHINGTON — Even though much has changed the past four years, President Barack Obama begins his second term with one thing that hasn’t: the unemployment rate. When Obama first took office in January 2009, the unemployment rate was 7.8 percent. Today the unemployment rate is once again at 7.8 percent. The unemployment rate rose as high as 10 percent during Obama’s first term before falling back down to 7.8 percent last November.

No, the official number may be the same, but far FAR more people are out of work today than were out of work when Obama took the throne. Remember, the conniving *#*@#s in D.C. don´t count people who have dropped off the unemployment rolls.

Actually the government has helped bring the unemployment rate down quite a lot via the "disability" social security given to millions of people in key swing states. Though those people are no longer considered looking for work they were in fact bought off for their votes.

I have always loved the regime/media phrase ´ those who have stopped looking for work´. Did they stop eating and being sheltered. too ? The reality is even worse as it means they´ve all applied for and received some type of gubmint subsidy- be it unemployement , SS, SSI, forced early withdrawal of retirement or some combination thereof. But the phrase portends a burden on this country that is hard to quantify and frightening to consider.
