GOP Senator: Obama Tried

GOP Senator Ted Cruz slammed President Obama‘s gun control proposals on NBC’s Meet The Press Sunday and said he didn’t think it was constructive for the president to try to “exploit” the Newtown tragedy “within minutes” of it occurring. Cruz said the “gun control agenda” backed by Obama is “designed to appeal to partisans.” Cruz explained why he didn’t believe any of the gun control measures outlined by Obama last week would work: “Number one, it would have done zero to prevent the crime in Newtown. Number two, many of the provisions are contrary to

Of course he did. That´s just what Democrats do. I wish we had more men in our government like Sen. Cruz.

The Club for Growth bet big on Cruz as well as Rubio, and their bets paid off. I talked with their Asst Director about starting a local Club for Growth, focused on State House and State Senate candidates. They aren´t chartering state Clubs, but were very helpful and willing to share their model for success. I can copy them, but have to come up with a different name.

It´s well worth sending the Club for Growth a contribution, even if it´s only $50, and getting their newsletter. These guys are very good at identifying conservatives who are also articulate leaders. Your money will be well spent.

The government has enough "Training" exercises
of school shootings to have a script of how to exploit it.
They´re so convincing in the mock shootings it´s hard to know if it´s real.

The ´walk a mile in his moccasins´ rule should be applied to President Obama on this issue. If you were President and you had to go and comfort the victims and relatives after this despicable crime, you might see things a bit differently. I know the President´s default is automatically the left wing, autocratic response, but when ascribing intent, such as ´exploit´ on this, I am a tad uncomfortable.

Even some of the world’s most sceptical climate organisations now concede that humans might be causing the planet to warm. But in a surprising move the Heartland Institute has published a paper claiming that the effects of pumping carbon dioxide into the atmosphere could in fact be beneficial. The new report by the Nongovernmental International Panel on Climate Change (NIPCC) has provided the alternative view on the impacts of manmade climate change. ‘The ongoing rise in the air’s CO2 content is causing a great greening of the Earth,’ says the report, called Climate Change Reconsidered II: Biological Impacts. ‘All across the planet, the

Secretary of State John Kerry took exception Tuesday to an assertion by a Republican senator that the Obama administration’s foreign policy is “spinning out of control,” declaring that “that’s just not true.” “You can’t help but get the impression our foreign policy is just spinning out of control,” Sen. Jim Risch (R-Idaho) said during a Senate Foreign Relations Committee hearing on the State Department budget. “And we are losing control in virtually every area that we are trying to do something in.” Risch cited developments in Russia, Iran, North Korea, Afghanistan, Pakistan, China and the Israeli-Palestinian negotiations – but focused

The proliferation of federal agencies with armed agents is one of the most worrisome aspects of the growth in government. Just last summer the EPA carried out an armed raid on a mine in Alaska to enforce the Clean Water Act — a bit of government intimidation that residents say was totally unnecessary: It looks like a took a Congressional hearing in Washington, DC to get the ball moving, but Alaska Governor Sean Parnell announced last Thursday, the same day as a hearing on the issue, that a special counsel will investigate the EPA’s armed raid over the summer of the

One of soldier Lee Rigby´s murderers has launched an appeal against his whole life prison sentence, the Judicial Office has confirmed. Michael Adebolajo, 29, together with Michael Adebowale, 22, mowed down Fusilier Rigby in car, before hacking him to death in Woolwich, south east London, in May last year. Adebolajo was condemned to die behind bars - with judge Mr Justice Sweeney saying the killer had ´no real prospect of rehabilitation´. However, Adebowale was sentenced to a minimum of 45 years in jail because of his younger age, mental health problems and ´lesser role´ in the 25-year-old father-of-one´s murder. Now,

Scientists Andrew Ghio, Jon Sobus, Joachim Pleil and Michael Madden, with laboratory director Wayne Cascio, administered this toxic mix of diesel and particulate matter to 41 people. When friends and family members gathered recently at the White House for a private celebration of Michelle Obama’s 50th birthday, one of the invited partygoers was a former paid FBI Mafia informant. LONDON - Peaches Geldof, the wild-child second daughter of concert organizer Bob Geldof who worked as a model, a television presenter and a fashion writer and filled the pages of British tabloids with her late-night antics, has died at age 25. There was no immediate word on the cause of her death at her home in Wrotham, Kent, southeast England. Her father said in a statement Monday: "Peaches has died. We are beyond pain." "She was the wildest, funniest, cleverest, wittiest and the most bonkers of all of us," he said. "Writing 'was' destroys me afresh. What a beautiful child. How is this possible that we will not see her again? How is that bearable? We loved her and will cherish her forever."
