First Term: Americans ‘Not in
Labor Force’ Increased 8,332,000

Cybercast News Service, by Terence P. Jeffrey

Original Article

Posted By:KarenJ1, 1/20/2013 9:44:37 PM

The number of Americans age 16 or older who decided not to work or even to seek a job increased by 8,332,000 to a record 88,839,000 in President Barack Obama’s first term, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. At the same time, the number of retired workers collecting Social Security increased by only 4,234,480. The increase in Americans opting out of the labor force during Obama’s first term resulted in a decrease in the labor force participation rate from 65.7 percent in January 2009, the month Obama was first inaugurated,

Comments:
That number is absolutely shocking. And yet we get him back again. That is even more shocking. Not a word was uttered about this during the election. I guess it wouldn´t have mattered anyway.

Hurray! We will be a Utopia where no one works.

The workers of other nations will gladly pay taxes to supply our needs.

I cannot imagine another time when the pathetic media would so aggressively lie about unemployment numbers to bolster a failed President. It´s criminal behavior on their part.

I took myself out of the work force as I simply refuse to work and pay taxes to this government. I am also completely out of the stock market. I am in the process of selling everything I can sell to make it easy to escape this country when the time comes. I have very bad feelings about what is ahead of us.

Translation:
The economy is so bad, 8 million can´t find work anymore.

Many only have HS education, but 25-30 years of experience, and now in mid-50´s or so, but unable to apply to many jobs due to the restriction of no college degree.

Add to this problem, the Democrats want higher gasoline prices, and higher electricity prices, which puts more pressure on the lower income and retired folks.

Makes them NEED gov´t help, and that´s a Democrat specialty - create massive program to dole out the crumbs to the recipients.

Barry has managed to keep pace with Carter´s dismal labor rate. In the next 4 years his plan is to exceed Carter´s rate by increasing that 8,332,000 number to 20,000,000+ and the Labor Dept won´t be able to keep up with their lying numbers anymore.

GENEVA – Top diplomats from the United States, European Union, Russia and Ukraine reached agreement after marathon talks Thursday on immediate steps to ease the crisis in Ukraine. The tentative agreement puts on hold -- for now at least -- additional economic sanctions the West had prepared to impose on Russia if the talks were fruitless. And that will ease international pressure both on Moscow and nervous European Union nations that depend on Russia for their energy. U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry called the deal the result of a "good day´s work" but emphasized that the words on paper

For several months now, whenever the topic of enrollment in the Affordable Care Act came up, I’ve been saying that it was too soon to tell its ultimate effects. We don’t know how many people have paid for their new insurance policies, or how many of those who bought policies were previously uninsured. For that, I said, we will have to wait for Census Bureau data, which offer the best assessment of the insurance status of the whole population. Other surveys are available, but the samples are smaller, so they’re not as good; the census is the gold standard. Unfortunately,

GOP presidential hopefuls are largely steering clear of Nevada rancher Cliven Bundy’s fight with the federal government. The showdown, which left armed militia members and feds staring each other down last week, has captivated talk radio and cable news shows, turning Bundy into a conservative cause célèbre. Yet Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) and Mike Huckabee, a former Arkansas governor and 2008 presidential candidate, are the only big-name Republicans to have spoken out on the dispute so far. Tea Party favorite Sen. The additional aid was announced as fighting between Ukraine´s military and pro-Russian factions intensified in the eastern part of the country. Hagel, speaking at a press conference at the Pentagon with his Polish counterpart, said the approved aid would include medical supplies, helmets, sleeping mats,

President Obama´s budget would not place the federal debt on a downward path over the next 10 years, according to projections released by the Congressional Budget Office on Thursday. The CBO, Congress’ nonpartisan budget scorekeeper, projected that if the president’s proposals were to go into effect, federal debt held by the public would rise from $12.8 trillion at the end of fiscal 2014 to $19.9 trillion in 2024, leaving the level of debt as a share of total economic output constant, at roughly 74 percent. Media Matters for America is apparently resisting an effort by Service Employees International Union Local 500 to unionize its staff. Last week, the union filed a representation petition with the National Labor Relations Board, indicating that the nonprofit media watchdog organization rejected an effort by the union to organize MMFA´s staff through a Card Check election. A filing with the NLRB does not necessarily mean that the union and management are in direct confrontation. For example, although Volkswagen tacitly backed the United Auto Workers´ recent effort to organize its Chattanooga, Tenn., plant, the company still insisted on an NLRB-monitored election. But the

Casual marijuana use may come with some not-so-casual side effects. For the first time ever, researchers at Northwestern University have analyzed the relationship between casual use of marijuana and brain changes – and found that young adults who used cannabis just once or twice a week showed significant abnormalities in two important brain structures. The study’s findings, to be published Wednesday in the Journal of Neuroscience, are similar to those of past research linking chronic, long-term marijuana use with mental illness and changes in brain development. Two white adults divided the toys, one equally and the other unequally. Seventy per cent of the toddlers chose to play with the researcher who distributed the toys fairly. But in a second test, when one researcher favoured a white recipient over an Asian one, they picked the ‘fair’ researcher less often, the journal Frontiers in Psychology reports. How do you ensure that you won’t be ostracized, denounced, or fired if you are a media celebrity, captain of industry, or high public official? For some, sexist banter is certainly no problem. Stand-up comedian Bill Maher called Sarah Palin a c–t and a tw-t, but suffered no ill consequences. David Letterman joked on air that Sarah Palin’s 14-year-old daughter had had sex with Alex Rodriguez during a New York Yankees game. There was no downside to that either. President Obama tosses around “sweetie” as he wishes. No problem with that. No one believes Barack could be condescending to women.
