´After Tiller´ gives voice
to US abortion doctors

Agence France-Presse, by Staff

Original Article

Posted By:BuckeyeRon, 1/20/2013 2:43:35 PM

Forty years after the legalization of abortion in the United States, just four doctors offer controversial late-term procedures, and are the subject of a documentary at the Sundance film festival. "After Tiller," named for physician George Tiller, a prominent practitioner of late-term abortions shot dead by an extremist in 2009, focuses on the few remaining doctors who perform abortions in the third trimester of a pregnancy. The Supreme Court legalized abortion exactly 40 years ago -- on January 22, 1973 -- but granted states the right to limit abortions in the final three months of a pregnancy.

With reference to Clarice Feldman´s article today advising, no, begging, the RNC and Conservatives to seize the language in framing an issue:

Protectors of the Second Amendment are referred to as "gun lovers" to make them sound menacing. Turn about: Supporters of abortion on demand must be referred to as "abortion lovers". Get that term into the argument and see what happens.

FTA: ´It´s not that the doctors don´t know how to do this, but they are afraid.´

Just because you know how to do something doesn´t mean you should.

And they should have some fear. God will not be mocked.

Look up "Kermit Gosnell" and see how things have gone in this industry before, during and after Tiller. There were two reasons for the msm to ignore this horror story: Dr. Gosnell is a "minority" and his clinic puts the lie to guarantees of safe, hygenic and professional abortions.

"We are thrilled. We would cheerfully train more doctors."

Absolute evil. They are SO excited about murdering infants with a knife, and getting others to join them. Regardless of whether you think life begins at conception, third trimester babies survive prematurely now. So clearly, you are murdering infants, not embryos, not some "unborn" non-entity.

The article starts with the statement that "physician" Tiller was shot dead by an "extremist". The same man, should he stop a guy using the same sharp instruments to murder premature newborns in a nursery, would be called a hero. So tell me "Agence France-Presse" what exactly is the difference? No answer?

I´ll go out on a limb. Scott Roeder, Tiller´s killer, apparently had mental issues, and suffered problems. However, he stated that he killed Tiller because infant´s lives were in immediate danger.

That makes him a hero.

The admissions and characterizations are jaw dropping comical if the subject weren´t so profoundly disturbing:

You heard it from the French press first folks. The Supreme Court legalizes things and grants rights to the States. Yeah, that´s how it works in in the liberal mind.

Anybody know where this murderer is buried? Wouldn´t want to miss the chance to water the flowers on his grave if given the chance.

As an acquaintence said , if death comes when the heart stops beating, then life begins when the heart starts beating, which is only days after conception. There is life at conception as well because if there wasn´t, then the fertilization would never take place.

This whole idea of late-term abortions is nothing more than the taking of human life when it might be viable outside the womb. Those who engage in it are murderers, pure and simple.

It says something very telling about those who would support it, and our nation as a whole being condemned for allowing it to exist.

The saddest part is that abortion is a thriving business and next to free sexual relationships without any consequences is the ´unholy grail´ of liberal politics, right up there with socialism.

Does this film show how nasty most abortion clinics are? I wouldn´t take a dog to the ones I´ve seen. They are dingy and dirty looking. They are usually located in ethnic neighborhoods. I´m sure this documentary doesn´t mention Kermit Gosnell´s collection of baby feet in jars, or the biohazard bags stacked on top of each other, leaking.

If these brave doctors want a voice, I want them to appear on national television and describe what they do.

I do wonder if those who oppose abortion would be willing to vote the taxes to pay for the increased medicaid, TANF and schools needed if all those pregnancies were taken to full term.

Nice try, frog. First, there are at least 30 million fewer tax payers in the US today because they were aborted 20-40 years ago. Second, every one of those children who were aborted would have been adopted. How do I know this? I´m and adoptive mother. The year we adopted our daughter ( 1990 ) there were 50,000 adoptions in the US. for every couple who were lucky enough to get one of those children, there were 250 couples who could not get a child. Do the math.

Once upon a time I thought children who were not aborted would be given up for adoption. Then I worked with young pregnant women, while abortion was considered distasteful, adoption was considered totally, unforgivably immoral. I admire the decision to give a child up for adoption instead of abortion, but I know in the real world that would not happen very often. There would simply be more poorly parented children needing public services, and as is so often pointed out, they would not be paying income taxes.

hey frog abortion is killing of innocent life a child, and every nation in history that has killed of their young (infanticide) have come to an abrupt end. Amazing that people got so upset over 20 young children by a crazed young man, but don´t say one word about the killing of 500,000 children every year by abortion and to date over 50 million young lives, I wonder which one of them had the cure for cancer, the genius to make cars more fuel efficient, or be the one who could preach from his heart to turn a nation back to God. What has always appalled me about Tiller is that he would regularly receive communion at his ELCA church. They knew what he did for a living and offered him communion? That is disgusting.

With regard to Gosnell, I read the full GJ report. I was staggered. There was a 15 year old girl helping with abortions. One baby who was born alive was played with by an assistant who then finished by slitting the baby´s throat. This happens in America. I can hardly believe what we´ve become as a nation. It´s so foul - environmentalists are always worried about pollution - what of the pollution of the soul? What is a humanist´s remedy for that?

Reply 37 - Posted by: jlw509, 1/20/2013 9:35:21 PM     (No. 9128936)

#32, I know you are appalled, as we all are, that so many women think abortion is "distasteful" OK but placing the child for adoption is unforgivably "immoral."

And yet, this is an irrational view. It is very much like preferring husband- or wife--murder to divorce.

We can change these attitudes. There should be pervasive artistic portrayals of people valuable to the whole human race --- from Jesus Christ to Johann Sebastian Bach, to Steve Jobs! --- who were adopted; and sensitive support for the birth-mothers who made this spiritually sensitive decision.

The most beautiful thing is to honor and protect your child´s life, even if it means placing him tenderly in someone else´s loving arms.

We don´t know that late term abortions only make up one percent because that is a figure that is supplied to us only by the abortion industry which is notoriously secretive and deceptive. Plus they have a history of perjury in congressional hearings about such matters as was revealed in a case about 15 years ago when the guy that testified admitted later that he lied lied lied. He, of course, suffered no punishment for his lies.

Reply 39 - Posted by: Charactercounts, 1/21/2013 5:15:13 AM     (No. 9129331)

Dr. Tiller was a millionaire because of his abortion practice.

Is #28 saying it´s okay to abort people if they´re going to be a drain on the taxpayers? That would be an awfully ugly precedent to set, wouldn´t it? Death panels, anyone?

Williamson, W.Va.- The man suspected of killing a West Virginia sheriff as he ate lunch in his car was mentally disturbed and had no particular vendetta with law enforcement, his father told The Associated Press on Thursday. Melvin Maynard said his 37-year-old son, Tennis Melvin Maynard, was exposed to harmful chemicals and injured while working at an Alabama coal mine. He most likely did not target Mingo County Sheriff Eugene Crum, he said. "He would have probably shot anybody, the first one he come to, you know what I´m saying?" the elder Maynard said.
