Health insurance companies across the country are seeking and winning double-digit increases in premiums for some customers, even though one of the biggest objectives of the Obama administration’s health care law was to stem the rapid rise in insurance costs for consumers. Dave Jones, the California insurance commissioner, said some insurance companies could raise rates as much as they did before the law was enacted.

Obamadontcare never was or ever will reduce the cost of healthcare. It does NOTHING to reduce costs nor is there even a whisper of Tort reform, but then we knew that years ago. It was always intended to raise costs drive conventional practices out of business and herd people to the only solution that can pay elevated prices for diminished healthcare: the government.

I doubt that President Hologram really believed that the government could force insurance companies to insure everyone regardless of health, provide mental health benefits on a par with regular health benefits (think of Eliot Carlin on the old Bob Newhart show, who had daily therapy, plus group therapy regardless of the theme of the group) and cover children up to the age of 26.
Surely even someone as unintelligent as the president would know that. But he didn´t care. It was important for his legacy to push through the abomination known as kenyan care.

FTA: Particularly vulnerable to the high rates are small businesses and people who do not have employer-provided insurance and must buy it on their own.

When President Obama gets to Jerusalem next week, one of the signals to listen for is an indication of what country he thinks he’s in. An unfortunate story on CBS New York Thursday carried this headline: "Officials: 80 Percent Of Recent NYC High School Graduates Cannot Read." It´s a shocker, but it´s also untrue. And to make things worse, the story that followed was riddled with typos. According to the New York Post, which reported the same story earlier on Thursday, "79.3 percent of city public-school grads who went to CUNY’s six two-year colleges arrived without having mastered the basics" of reading, writing, and math, and had to take non-credit remedial classes to catch up.

North Korea’s young leader Kim Jong-un is waiting for United States President Barack Obama to make a phone call to Pyongyang to discuss easing tensions on the Korean peninsula, according to Russia’s news agency Itar-Tass. Recent research indicates that the number of people who do not consider themselves a part of an organized religion is steadily on the rise. Interestingly enough, though the number of those religiously unaffiliated is increasing, there is little to no trend in the number of those who express atheist or agnostic beliefs. People aren’t saying they don’t believe in God. They’re saying they don’t believe in religion. They are not rejecting Christ. They are rejecting the church.
