Biden: ´I´m Proud To Be President´
Newsbusters, by Noel Sheppard

Original Article

Posted By:JoniTx, 1/20/2013 12:35:38 PM

Joe Biden the gaffe machine was at it again Saturday. Speaking at the Iowa State Society inauguration ball, the Vice President said, "I´m proud to be President of the United States" (video follows with transcribed highlights and commentary): After some laughter and a nudge from someone on stage, Biden corrected himself. "I´m proud to be Vice President of the United States," he said, "and I´m prouder to be Barack Obama, President Barack Obama´s Vice President." "Well, there goes that," Biden joked. "Look, on a serious note, I guess I´m lucky to get back to a serious note."

WASHINGTON — President Barack Obama honored Martin Luther King Jr.’s legacy of service Monday by helping a soup kitchen prepare its daily meals and a host of administration figures fanned out across the capital to appear at holiday events. Obama took his wife, Michelle, and daughters Malia and Sasha to DC Central Kitchen, which is a few minutes away from the White House by presidential motorcade. They joined an assembly line that was churning out burritos. Asked what the burritos were being stuffed with, Obama said it looked like lamb. Older people do not decline mentally with age, it just takes them longer to recall facts because they have more information in their brains, scientists believe. Much like a computer struggles as the hard drive gets full up, so to do humans take longer to access information, it has been suggested. Researchers say this slowing down it is not the same as cognitive decline. “The human brain works slower in old age,” said Dr. Michael Ramscar, “but only because we have stored more information over time. “The brains of older people do not get weak. The consensus: very few. That reality highlights one problem Republicans face as they seek to regain the White House after six years under President Obama. Lots of factors affect elections: the quality of the candidates, the state of the economy, the effectiveness of the campaigns. But in a country whose demographics continue to change, Republicans will begin this campaign with one significant disadvantage. Over the past three decades, the political leanings of
